Park Hotel Perla

Park Hotel Perla ★★★

📍 Golden Sands, Golden Sands

"Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a very disappointing experience. The staff were extremely unfriendly and showed little to no interest in helping guests. Every question or request was met with irritation, and some issues were simply ignored. The room was dirty, with dust, a poorly cleaned bathroom, and it felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. The food was also very disappointing. The selection was very limited, many dishes were served cold, and the quality of the ingredients left much to be desired. The menu barely changed from day to day, so after a couple of days we didn’t even want to eat there anymore. Overall, our impression of the hotel was extremely negative. For the price we paid, we expected a much higher level of service. We would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to anyone."

"An attractive shiny clean hotel with a very friendly and welcoming aura. The team who is working there is the most welcoming, warm and friendly! Very tasty breakfasts and dinners. "I really liked it, the room was clean, cleaned every day, the room is dark, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage, breakfasts are good, you have to order what to take care of and the quantity, but for me it was sufficient, the service was very nice, helpful. The neighborhood is quiet, there are shops and bars, unfortunately in bars you pay in cash. The beach is close, you can get to the center by bus almost from the hotel about 20-30 minutes. To the airport about 50 minutes with 1 change in the center."

Ensana Aquahouse ★★★★★

📍 St. Constantine and Helena resort, Saints Constantine and Helena

"The Ensana Aquahouse is three years old. It has numerous pools with varying temperatures, both indoors and in the garden outside. The Cactus Beach restaurant is located on the beach. The breakfast is fantastic, with Bulgarian and international specialties. The hotel seems to be primarily geared toward families with children. Accordingly, things can sometimes get a bit chaotic. The rooms are nice, modernly furnished, with a large TV. We had a room with a terrace. However, the bathroom resembles a studio kitchen. The toilet doesn't have a shower over the toilet. The toilet and shower doors are made of frosted glass."

"The hotel is a bit old but the food and the animtors were the best, especially Kati, Ilko and Chefo, they played the most entertaining games for kids and also for adults or teenagers, i also liked the bartenders, they were very friendly and fast. I will definitely come back!"

"A great hotel! For a family with a child, this is a great option: a large double bed and a fold-out sofa for the child. The room is divided into separate areas, so the child sleeps separately. Two balconies and tables are cozy and have everything you need. There's no breakfast as such, but a coffee machine on the ground floor, tea, and cookies are available throughout the day, so we had breakfast at the hotel without any problems. There's a store nearby (30 meters), and a good restaurant (Bijou) is a 5-7-minute walk away where you can have a delicious and affordable dinner. The hotel staff are the sweetest people. They greeted us warmly and were always willing to help if needed, a real pleasure!"

"We had another wonderful stay at International Hotel in Varna. The rooms are large, spacious, spotlessly clean, and always smell amazing. The breakfast and dinner are excellent, with a wide variety of delicious, fresh, and high-quality food. The infinity pool offers a breathtaking view of the sea, making it the perfect place to relax. Everything about this hotel is simply superb. We come back every year, and it never disappoints. We highly recommend it!"

Hotel Lilia Hotels in Varna

"The staff were horrible, they had a sign in the restaurant saying it closed at 22:00, but one night while we where there, we arrived at the restaurant at 21:45 expecting it to be open but turns out they were packing up all the food, we didn't like the food but only wanted a snack (pancakes and bread). Another restaurant staff was texting his mate and eating all the sausages and eggs, helping himself Infront of customers It's supposed to have free Wi-Fi but there's actually little blind spots around the room, like the toilet, and the living room. The restaurant manager followed me around the restaurant because I had some orange juice in my hand (it was supposed to be 3 lev.) So when I got back to my table my mum gave it back (like she can even pour it back into the machine). Who even pays for juice, that's crazy. The pool next to the hotel was cool I liked it. Do NOT go here. -Olly"

It is a big pool but it's impossible to use it because the water is very cold."

The Palace Hotel, Sunny Day Hotels in Varna

The Palace Hotel, Sunny Day

"The service is terrible for a 5 star hotel. Only the maids were doing their jobs, although no matter what they did, the stench wafting from the bathroom pipes couldn't help but wake us up in the morning :X The air conditioners in all the rooms are set to work equally weakly and when a person walks down the corridor, he sees how people have opened their room doors because they are dying from the heat inside.. and this is a 5-star hotel! Paying BGN 500 (EUR 250) per night, we were accommodated in a room overlooking the park, where every morning at 06:30-07:00 they were sweeping the street in front of the hotel with some kind of machine that woke us up in the early hours of the morning, even though we had been assured by the reservations department that rooms with a park view are quieter than those with a sea view. The TV in the room restarted every 10 minutes by itself and the fan in the bathroom didn't work (when we asked the reception about this, we were 'reassured' that the fans in the bathrooms in the whole hotel didn't work, it wasn't just our room :@). After 3 nights in this terrible room, we moved to another one with a sea view. For this room we paid BGN 550 (EUR 275) per night and our last night at the hotel we couldn't sleep at all because there was some noise from the pipes in the bathroom - every 7-8 minutes there was a terrible banging in the the pipes from the room next to us. When we called reception to report this they didn't even bother to come to the room to check what was going on and we had to call them further and go down to the reception several times to inform us that there was nothing they could do and they didn't even offer to move us to another room.. the next day when we talked to the manager, he said that he could compensate us by treating us to 2 pizzas... and so, for a sleepless night that costs 550 BGN, they compensated us with 2 pizzas for 30 BGN... : And this is the first hotel we've stayed at where we had to pay for our nights in advance so they could be sure that whatever happens they've got their money.. otherwise they'd have a lot of denied payments for such cases like ours, but they know this very well.. No matter how much we talk, we still have a lot to learn from our southern neighbors in terms of hospitality and kindness, so our tourism will still be at the same dying level : In short - we would not set foot a second time in this badly-renovated hotel, which does not even deserve 3 stars."

Melia Grand Hermitage Hotels in Varna

Melia Grand Hermitage

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at Meliá Grand Hermitage. Everything exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options available every day. The accommodation was outstanding, offering spacious and comfortable rooms, while the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. A special mention goes to the animation team, which was simply the best. Their energy, professionalism, and entertaining activities made our holiday even more enjoyable for both adults and children. The hotel also offers plenty of facilities for kids, making it a perfect destination for families. There were always fun activities and attractions to keep the children happy and engaged. Overall, an exceptional experience with excellent service, outstanding facilities, and a fantastic atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to return in the future! "

Azalia Beach Hotel Balneo & Spa Hotels in Varna

Azalia Beach Hotel Balneo & Spa

"I chose this hotel to spend 1 May and Easter Holiday for this year. Location: The location of the hotel is good, is not far from the small city center, there is an ATM next to the hotel. Parking: In front of the hotel there is a parking space for maximum 10-15 cars. We paid around 10 leva/day. Is good to park near the hotel, we saw some cameras next by because the parking is not guarded. If you do not find space near the hotel, they will redirect you to another parking with whom the hotel has agreement. Room: We got room 207, on the same floor with the restaurant. First I was upset, thinking that the smell will come into the room but no, it was ok. The room was amazing, front sea view, 2 balconies. It is amazing to sleep in the night and to hear the sound of the waves. The room is big enough, equipped with everything, even bathrobe. Cleaning: On this chapter, the hotel is not so well. I was disappointed about the cleaning, when we entered the room it was not very well cleaned, there were stains on the wall, on the carpet. During our stay we did not let the housekeeping too often to come into our room. Beach: The beach is large, is amazing, clean but with small stones. In some parts of the sea the entrance is deep, in other is ok. The staff should step in when they see the clients bring on the beach portable speaker and put lowed bad quality music! It was disturbing for us and we needed to take our things and move to another part just not to hear that music! The restaurant, bars & food The restaurant in the first days, when the hotel was not crowd the food was at a very high quality. Not so many choices but tasty. After 3-4 May, when the hotel stared to be full, the option for the food became larger but lower quality. The beach bar offers just French fries and some meatballs. The ice cream was very good. The only bar that serves alcoholic drinks is the lobby bar, even if they sell as Ultra All Inclusive, most of the drinks are local ones. Only some gin is international brand, beside this, Bulgarian drinks. The bartender is not making cocktails, he gives you the alcohol in a glass and you need to go and add juice and make yourself a cocktail. This is the first time when I experience this. For the Easter Celebration I expected more, on the Easter night in the reception there were eggs and sweet bread but for the lunch or dinner nothing special. Swimming pool & Spa In the rainy days the indoor pool was so crowded, they said is with mineral water but I doubt that, I smelled a lot of chlorine. We enjoyed the sauna. Overall, I can recommend this hotel because of its position, right on the beach. The view from the room and the balcony was amazing."

Prestige Hotel and Aquapark - All Inclusive Hotels in Varna

Prestige Hotel and Aquapark - All Inclusive

"I went to prestige aquapark which is terrible in terms of safty, infrastructure, and hygiene. Very disappointing experience. The tiles around the pool are extremely slippery and dirty, which makes the area unsafe. The anti-slip mat leading to the water slides is filthy and missing in many places. In the bathrooms, only two faucets were working and there was very little water. The toilet doors do not close properly, and the showers do not work at all. The chairs near the pool bar are also very dirty. On top of that, the security staff is rarely visible and does not seem to monitor or control anything. Overall, the hygiene, maintenance, and safety standards need serious improvement."

Hotel Sunrise Golden Sands Hotels in Varna

Hotel Sunrise Golden Sands

"Our stay at the hotel was lovely, we loved every second, especially the animators: Mia, Mimi, Bobi, Ilco and Gabi, they made our holiday perfect, they have so much energy, the kids love them and for sure they know how to include everyone and how to keep them entertained, we hope to see them again next year, we are for sure coming back!!!"

Golden Tulip Varna ★★★★
"Varna was having an unusually warm weekend on Oct 1-2. When we got into our room (Room 601), it was an oven. Although the fan was on and set to maximum (minimal draft and no cold air), the full blast of the afternoon sun heated up the two large windows that face the main road. We asked reception if the cold air could be turned on, and were told that the hotel policy was to cut off all airconditioning by Oct 1. While we understand that management policy is policy, we felt that the hotel staff should have been empowered to accommodate guest comfort given the vagaries of climate change. Having said that, the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a decent size, and soap, shampoo and shower gel were provided. The hotel staff were helpful when our friends misplaced their hotel key. The breakfast spread was decent."

Park Hotel Perla ★★★
"I'll start with the small amount of pros: The hotel is very pretty with nice flowers, the room was basic but had what I needed and the bed was firm but comfortable (need darker curtains as they were yellow and the sun went straight through them) the balcony was very small though and felt slanted and the pool was a good size. The housekeepers were lovely and the only staff who spoke and smiled at you. That's where it ends. This hotel is so bad I checked out 2 days early and went home. The main reason I chose this hotel (after reading all the bad reviews and yes they are that bad!) because it mentioned nightly entertainment, English speaking staff and a friendly community. None of this was the case. No entertainment, no English speaking staff (when they did it was very broken) and no friendly atmosphere at all! I felt very uncomfortable being there. As a female solo traveller I felt very uncomfortable and very isolated. The food is awful! Mostly undercooked meats, rice, chips and salad. All cold and not pleasant to eat. But what was even worse was the service. I've never known such rude waitresses. If you don't talk Bulgarian or German they glare at you like you are dirty on their shoes. They are unhelpful and didn't know if the desserts had nuts in them when I asked (I have a severe peanut allergy which I made the hotel aware of but clearly nothing was passed on) The drinks selection was terrible. It was either bad warm tasting wine, local spirits which were disgusting or soft drinks in a self service machine (all inclusive paid for and they made you make your own drink) All inclusive were only allowed to have drinks from 1 out of 3 bars. Which I found ridiculous! The male night receptionist would never be at reception, he'd always be sitting at the other end of the hotel watching TV. Once he noticed you he huffed and walked over slowly like you were bothering him. The sunbeds were on the brink of breaking every time you sat on them. The lifeguard couldn't careless about his job, he'd be sat at the pool bar on his phone and even saw him drinking beer at one point. The WiFi only works in the room, not in the pool area, reception or restaurant area and when it did work it cut out quite a lot. I'd honestly never go back to this hotel for how bad the food and service was. They really need to sort their staff and food out before they close down as by the time I left there was only 8 people around in September. If you are thinking of booking here and did what I did thinking the reviews were exaggerated, they really aren't and are fully true! Don't book here."

Primorski Hotel ★★★
"The hotel occupies one of the most distinctive buildings in St Konstantin and Helena and enjoys taking a central location next to shops and cafes. In fact, the breakfast is served in a local cafe rather than in the hotel itself (although hotel guests can't eat breakfast in the garden for some reason.) The breakfast food was delicious. The reception is polite, rooms are clean. Our room was on the small side (at the expense of large balcony) and the shower and basin are IN the rooms and not in a separate en-suite which means you can only share with people you know very well! ;-) A couple of minor complaints that let the hotel down are the fact that while there is a coffee machine and coffee pods in the room, guests are charged per drink. There is no bottled water (free or paid for) in the mini bar to use to make coffee and there is no provision of milk, nor milk powder. We went to reception to ask for some but they said they don't provide this. The single use shower gel shampoos and miniscule. The lighting is poor around the mirror...there is a hanging light next to the mirror so I can't see to put my make up on. However the fact that access to the Aquahouse Spa is INCLUDED in the room price is a great benefit and compensated for these irritations. Also, had we booked with more notice, the room would have been cheaper. As it happens, we paid a high price for booking at short notice which probably affected how I felt about the Primorski's value for money."
