"Very disappointing stay. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment we arrived, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Any questions or requests were met with attitude instead of help. On top of that, the food was very poor quality — bland, poorly prepared, and nowhere near what you’d expect from a hotel. The food was not good and very uniform. The second day of our stay they started renovating the pool without informing us so we couldn't use it. "We are extremely disappointed with our stay at Grand Hotel Velingrad. We chose this hotel because it presents itself as family-friendly and welcoming to children. Unfortunately, our experience was exactly the opposite. During our four-day stay, our children were constantly told to be quiet, not to play loudly, not to splash in the pool, and not to jump into the water. Some of these remarks even came from other guests, which made our holiday stressful and unpleasant. At the same time, the hotel does not offer a dedicated children’s area or pool where kids can play freely. There are no signs at the outdoor pools prohibiting jumping or children’s games, yet children are expected to remain almost completely still. We fully understand that all guests deserve a peaceful environment. However, if the hotel is primarily intended for adults seeking peace and quiet, this should be communicated clearly instead of advertising itself as a family-friendly destination. This was our first stay at Grand Hotel Velingrad, and unfortunately, it will also be our last."
