"A lovely small resort overlooking the vineyards. Relaxing pool and deck. Lots of opportunities for walks of varying lengths. Fairly standard but nicely presented breakfast buffet, which may be taken outside in nice weather. Many helpful recommendations for lunch or dinner at nearby restaurants. Optional tour of the small on-site winery, with a tasting and aperitivo. The location is about midway between Asti and Alba, which makes it ideal for exploring the culinary and oenological offerings of this scenic and friendly region."

"One night stay with a smartbox, booked without any problems in early October on the relevant website. The hotel is located in the summit square of this beautiful hilltop village, with easy parking. Our room (no. 2) was small but clean, with a safe, Wi-Fi, TV, hairdryer, and balcony. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. Beautiful view of the surrounding hills from the balcony and the dining room. The staff is friendly, even if they don't seem particularly welcoming. Perhaps it's because it's in an area on the border with Liguria... and I say this as a Genoese. Upon arrival, a small aperitif with a glass of wine and crisps (included in the box) and a generous buffet breakfast on the lovely veranda. It serves as a public bar, but the restaurant is only open on weekends. A good solution for a quick tour of this part of Monferrato."

"I decided to stay at the Monteverde Hotel in Bistagno during a relaxing week-end. The hotel is located in a tiny and pretty village near Alessandria, a strategic position if you want to visit the Monferrato and the Langhe famous wine areas. Finally we decided to have the dinner at the restaurant which was a tremendously positive surprise. The hotel is clearly renovated and in great and modern shape, the superior room was more than adequante for a couple, very comfortable and in my style looking but my main comment is about the restaurant which showed a tailored menu shaped according to the Pindemonte tradition. Exciting starters ("foamy" egg with trufle as in the picture) and pasta and main courses all made of high quality ingredients and clever receipts. Don't forget the cheese as dessert, they will offer you a wide variety of typical sheep and goat cheeses (and not only) from the trolley. And I need to mention the long and comprehnsive list of wines which are experctly and accurately selected according to your taste and menu. Thank you Sabina and to her staff!"

"Environment: This hotel is quite old and located in the center of Asti. Transportation is very inconvenient; all roads are one-way, and parking is extremely difficult. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend driving to this hotel. Aside from the breakfast restaurant being very comfortable and the front desk staff being very polite and helpful, the hotel rooms are quite old. It's a hotel built in the style of old Italian architecture, and all the facilities, including some of the equipment, have a vintage feel. In winter, the heating system is very noisy."
