Pousada De Viseu
9.3 (118 reviews)

Pousada De Viseu ★★★★

📍 R. do Hospital, Viseu

"Viseu doesn't get many Asian tourists. This hotel is excellent! It's a 3.9 Euro Bolt ride from the bus station and right next to the old town, which is full of stone houses. We arrived on a Sunday, and everything was closed; there wasn't a soul around. Luckily, a supermarket was open about 200 meters away. There was also a Japanese restaurant serving stir-fry for 20 Euros per person, and the food was delicious! The hotel food was also excellent, with champagne, ham, cucumber, and soy milk. Any hotel that offers vegetables like that is truly high-end!"

📍 Urbanização, Q.ta do Bosque, Coracao de Jesus

"Professional staff. Super cozy, clean and reserved atmosphere. Dinner, for a 5-star hotel, leaves something to be desired. We had to call an employee to meet us at the entrance to the room, we had to ask for the menu because delivery was late. The risotto was good but it looked like seafood rice and not risotto. And the weak desserts. Already brewed chocolate mousse and cold cream milk, heated on top. For 5 stars they need to improve some details."

Pousada De Viseu ★★★★
"Optimal staff, but the hotel itself. The hotel needs some redecorating, especially the walls in the rooms and corridors, with the exception of the entrance hall. The hotel also needs to provide slippers, bathrobes, and toiletries. These are essential items for a hotel of this caliber. It's a luxury hotel with history and a great location. A hotel to return to."

Viseu Ryokan - Hospedaria Japonesa & Spa ★★★★
"A fantastic hotel. Granted, it's quite niche, given the Ryokan style, but it's worth its weight in gold (tbh I think the stay is quite budget-friendly for the experience you get). Will probably visit again!"

Montebelo Viseu Congress Hotel ★★★★★
"This is a really good hotel, comfortable, clean, with good staff. The only thing I think should be improved is the queue for breakfast. We had to wait everyday about 10 minutes in queue to get a table. But, in th end, the quality of the breakfast offset the inconvenience of waiting. A pleasant stay and to be repeated."

Avenida Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"Very nice hotel, very good location, very good breakfast, very good rooms. Rating from zero to ten = 8.5. One small drawback: as the building is renovated, you can hear the guests on the upper floor walking. The reading room is spectacular. Apart from that, the hotel is very good."

"Nice hotel in the city center. Its old building, but clear. Small steam-room for 2 person (or 3 but 3rd must stand). GYM with all essential equipment (there are no any mattes, thats strange). Pool with pretty well garden view."
