"We ate twice at this lovely country pub. Food was very tasty and plentiful. We ate off the specials menu - tasty curry and salmon dish. Also had lasagne off the main menu. The homemade ice cream was delicious - so yummy ( ginger especially). The owner, Peter, came and had a chat with us and him and his staff were very hospitable. We loved the shop there - such a great idea in this small village!"

"I loved the surroundings of this hotel. It's a truly medieval setting. There's a monastery right outside the entrance, which you can visit and is truly spectacular. There's also a castle-like ancient building surrounded by a moat with swans. The stairs to the rooms are quite interesting. Breakfast is made to order and is delicious. It includes bread, sausage, and scrambled eggs, as well as bacon and black pudding. Parking is available right outside the entrance. We arrived at 9 PM and left at 10:00 AM the next day. There was no charge for this time. If I were to visit Wells again, I would choose this hotel again. Thank you for your warm hospitality! It made you feel right at home."

"We spent six nights at The Swan Hotel in Wells, England. We had a large group of about sixty as we were the choir in residence at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Wells. The hotel staff was very attentive and responsive. The food was very good and plentiful. The bartenders were at times overwhelmed with patrons, but rose to the occasion each time. The location is very convenient to the cathedral and the market square. We were staying during couple of the hottest days of the year, so some had troubles sleeping as there is no air-conditioning, but would not be a problem but a few days a year. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We will go back."
