"First off, I don't recommend staying in Wengen. There's hardly anything to eat there at night, it's far from popular attractions like Jungfrau, and the Coop closes super late. Interlaken is definitely better! Trust me! Don't stay here! 1. The breakfast was mediocre, not as good as the hotel across the street. 2. The balcony view was just okay, and the interior facilities were a bit run-down. Honestly, there's no need to stay here just for the view!"

"I had an amazing stay at Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn Wengen, The staff were incredibly friendly, supportive, and always greeted me with warm smiles, which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded my room, adding an extra touch that made my stay even more memorable. The hotel is perfectly located in a stunning area, just a short walk from Wengen Station, making it extremely convenient. My room had a beautiful view, and waking up to such scenery was truly breathtaking. Overall, a wonderful experience—highly recommended!"

"Loved the location, the balcony, and the rooms. This is definitely a boutique hotel. We had a room with Jungfrau view. It was spectacular to wake up to the peaks each morning. Because there was no air conditioning in the rooms, we had to sleep with the windows open. There are 2 main things that I wish were different: The blanket is too heavy for the summer/late spring heat wave. The church bell tolls every hour, in case you need to know that its 2am... Other than that, no complaints!"

"It's about a 10-minute walk from Wengen train station, but it's uphill all the way. The surrounding snow-capped mountains and meadows offer breathtaking scenery, and you can hear the delightful jingle of sheep bells. The hotel itself is unique, with charmingly antique facilities, yet it's very clean and tidy. The breakfast spread is excellent. The only minor drawback is that, despite being an older hotel with an elevator, the floorboards creak when you walk. In the quiet of the night in the mountains, this might disturb others or be a nuisance to you. Everything else was wonderful."

"The room is very comfortable and clean, with modern and convenient facilities. The bed in the single room is very large and the mattress is very comfortable with the right softness and firmness. You can see the snow-capped mountains from the balcony. The hotel's breakfast is very good. You can choose between omelette or omelette. It will be cooked for you freshly. It is hot and delicious. The lounge has hot water, coffee and tea, which is open 24 hours a day and is also allowed to be used on the day of check-out. The hotel staff are very helpful. The whole hotel is very cozy and I hope to stay there again. Finally, the hotel is in a very good location, four or five minutes' walk from the station, and three minutes from Wengen's viewing point, where you can see the sunset over the Lauterbrunnen Valley."

"The Brown Bear Hotel is located not in Interlaken, but in Wengen, a charming village with a cosmopolitan atmosphere. If driving, you can only park in the parking lot below Lauterbrunnen train station. Go up to the 7th floor to buy your ticket and take the train to Wengen, which takes about 12 minutes. Trains run almost every hour and half-hour. The journey up the mountain is well worth it. The hotel is less than 200 meters from the train station, in the village's commercial center, a street lined with hotels, restaurants, and shopping. From the hotel balcony, you can overlook the Jungfraujoch, making it easy to reach the summit. From Wengen station, you can board the train at Kleighn, transfer once, and you'll be directly at the Jungfraujoch. The hotel rooms are small, but adequate. The connecting room for three people is two standard rooms with a door between them, offering two bathrooms and two balconies, perfect for a family of three or four with older children. The restaurant downstairs serves a buffet breakfast and a delicious cheese fondue dinner. To visit the Jungfraujoch, you can buy tickets on the official website and board the train directly from Wengen, skipping the trip back to Interlaken. Wengen is a must-stop on one of the routes. The cable car station is across from the hotel, and I highly recommend taking it up. You can hike up, from a 20-minute trail to a longer hike. The scenery is breathtaking. Wengen is a much better place to stay than Interlaken, and it's truly Swiss."

"What a wonderful oasis in this most charming town! The building, the rooms, and the facilities are totally refreshed and in fantastic shape. The room we got had this most spectacular view of the the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and the layout of the room is efficient and the use of wood and stone is charming. We only used the spa on the last day after we had done half day of skiing, and it was fantastic: the outdoor heated pool was super nice, and the changing room had everything to allow us to change, freshen up, and repack for the airport. The breakfast was 10/10. The hamburgers we had one evening were 10/10. The formal restaurant is probably a tiny bit weaker than it should be, if I can be honest. While the service in the restaurant was flawless, the main courses were not as outstanding as I had expected, though they were not bad, either. Finally, the overall service in the hotel was a 10/10: every single person was courteous, warm, efficient, and effective. I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year, and will be returning again in June. I have my go-to hotels in many cities, and in this area of Switzerland, the Belvedere is my go-to hotel!"

"My husband and we stayed in Maya Caprice this June as it was recommended by my nephew who were guests at the hotel last October. We were very impressed as how clean the hotel is. It also has a unisex outdoor spa which you need to put on your swim suit when using the pool. This pool is overlooking the spectacular mountains which was a bonus for staying at this hotel. The hotel is just 3 minutes away from Wengen train station. Super convenient and offers fantastic views of the mountains. Food was nice too. We would like to thank the hotel manager Daniel for arranging a platter of fruits and some chocolates in our room. It was a lovely gesture from the hotel as we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Will choose Maya Caprice Spa Hotel again the next time we visit Wengen."

"Aside from its good location and long history, this hotel is truly disappointing in every other aspect. The lighting is dim, making the rooms feel like something out of a horror movie at night. The soundproofing is terrible, the floors creak loudly, the breakfast selection is limited and runs out quickly, meaning you'll likely have to wait for the staff to bring out the next dish before you can eat! Also, the old room doors are impossible to open, so for the next few days I had to leave them unlocked – utterly ridiculous!"
