"We had a wonderful stay. The hotel has a very spacious lounge area with comfory sofas, dining table, and a mini-pantry equipped with a toaster, microwave oven, ice maker, a coffee machine (free coffee and tea all day), and a sink. True, the hotel doesn't have a restaurant and so no breakfast on offer. For us, this is not a problem at all. There is a Family Mart and a supermarket (called Trial) close by. We believe the windows are triple-glazed because the room, ultra modern, is so quiet despite the nearby highway. If we happen to be in the area, we will definitely stay with Fairfield again. Last but not least, the staff are super friendly and accommodating."

"The building looked old, but the interior was clean and well-maintained. You change into slippers at the hotel entrance, and there's no elevator, so carrying heavy suitcases up to the third floor is a bit of a struggle. The public bath is on a time-sharing system with male guests, which I was a little hesitant about, but there weren't any other female guests, so my friend and I had the bath all to ourselves. The bath provided was a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner, so we used the shampoo and conditioner we brought ourselves. I was bothered by the fact that the changing room was still wet after the male guests had used it, and there was some tissue paper lying around."

"I stayed for one night with my family to see Takeda Jo castle early in the morning. I went to tachiunkyo at 5 am, returned to 7:30 and had breakfast. The facilities were old, but the rooms and hot springs were comfortable and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff were very kind and politely taught me the time to go to Rikuunkyo. There are 3 massage chairs in the basement and 1 on the 3rd floor."

"Not our first time staying at this chain of hotels. As usual the service staff is friendly, professional, helpful and speak good English. Love the room size and design of the hotel and the free flow of good quality beverages. Very well maintained property located near a rest station where food and souvenirs are readily available. There's no restaurant within the hotel but since the hotel is near a convenience store and the hotel provides a list of eateries, food is not an issue. Car parking is also a breeze at Fairfield by Marriott properties."
