The hotel is located in the central area of Ciudad Real, with large rooms and convenient dining out. However, the room faces west, making it hot and stuffy in the afternoon. I consulted the front desk and they said the air conditioner can only heat and not cool. Although it cooled down at night, the experience was affected.
The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and well located relatively close to the historic centre and the Rolantes stairs that help the rise. It has 2 outdoor swimming pools. The breakfast is good, but the employee must be asked for traditional eggs with bacon and sauce (included in the price).
The hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of the old town, just 150 meters from Toledo Cathedral.
Parking is convenient; the hotel has a paid underground parking garage, and parking on the nearby street-side is also possible and should be free.
Breakfast is a set menu, simple yet delicious. The hotel lobby offers complimentary snacks and a variety of wines, which are very tasty.
The third-floor terrace offers a nice view of the cathedral.
The rooms are small; a single room is just right for one person.
You can take photos of the old town from the hotel's public courtyard. You need to take a taxi to each attraction. It is not very convenient to call a taxi in Toledo. You need to make an appointment for the hotel breakfast. It is more convenient to stay in the old town. The hotel only provides one bottle of water regardless of how many days you stay.
1. When I called to make a request, they told me to call at 8pm. In a hotel, service should be round the clock.
2. When i requested for lotion, they said they dont give lotion. We booked to 6 different hotels in Spain. Only this hotel has no lotion.
3. There is no complementary water. If you need water, you have to go get it from the cafeteria.
4. The air conditioning system is not working. The only hotel we booked at with no air conditioning for 3 days. So we had to open the windows, hoping that no bird would fly in while we were sleeping.
We have stayed at this hotel several times when travelling through Toledo with our dog.
The fee for bringing our dog was €15 - about average. The hotel has a large garden area, which is great for walking dogs and letting them enjoy the outdoors but it is necessary to take care at this time of year with las orugas procesionarias.
Unfortunately the hotel bar and restaurant are not dog friendly, although the bar does have outdoor seating in the evenings where you can take your dog.
This hotel has nice big rooms, in a classic style. We noticed this time that the cleanliness of the room in particular could be better, specifically that the floor wasn’t very clean. The bathrooms are very large but the design of the shower could be improved - specifically to ensure the shower head can be moved.
Overall the hotel is spacious and pleasant, with a fantastic view across to the old city of Toledo and beautiful countryside.
It’s a recommend, notwithstanding there are a couple of things that could be improved.
The room is large, but there is no scenery to see. I thought that the crater view room was a viewing room. What material was lower than the room in the lobby. The windows could not be opened. The narrow patio was the window of another building. Breakfast is OK. However, the hotel is adjacent to the bullring and there is a concert at 10 pm, which is a bit noisy.
When I first checked in and was assigned a room, I found myself having to go down stairs. My luggage was so heavy that I couldn't even imagine carrying it up and down the stairs, so I asked the reception to change rooms. Fortunately, since it was around 3-4 PM, the check-in time, they gave me a room without stairs. The hotel is old, so it's not terribly clean, but it was acceptable. However, the rooms tend to be quite dusty. Dust accumulated in the cracks and corners, and when I woke up in the morning, dust would settle on my phone or tablet screen. Two 330ml bottles of water were provided daily, which was a nice touch. The hotel's location, adjacent to Plaza Toledo, was excellent.

GGuest UserWe were surprised to encounter major renovation to the front terrace which reduced the car parking availability and created a lot of white/grey dust best to avoid the terrace area altogether but pack a clothes brush anyway as there are none in the room. Garage parking is advertised in Reception as €25/day but due to reduced free parking there was no charge. All staff are very obliging and professional and appear pleased to ensure your time there is enjoyable. The building has been repurposed over the decades but as a hotel it is both dignified and comfortable. A vending machine dispensing bottles of water would be useful. During the 2 night stay we took breakfast lunch and dinner and whilst the food is not great it is good.
Parador de Cuenca is a great example of the brand but as we are only a few into their Spanish estate and with another 88 to visit we sadly don't have time to return.
GGuest UserEl hotel no está muy bien ubicado, no tiene estacionamiento propio y es muy difícil estacion**** cerca. El hotel esta bonito y tiene todo lo necesario para un estancia agradable pero si es muy complicado estacion**** cerca.
The hotel is not very well located, it does not have its own parking lot and it is very difficult to park nearby. The hotel is beautiful and has everything you need for a pleasant stay but it is very difficult to park nearby.
ZZiqianExceeding expectations, there is a terrace, you can see the attractions on the mountain, the best with cameras, free parking, bar can be early, not expensive. The room is large, the bed is large, the bathroom is large, it is very comfortable to live, very suitable for vacation, but it is convenient to have a car.
WWongWe have good trip in Cuenca. My son really enjoy his trip as stay at Exe Cuenca. We suggest that the Hotel restaurant shall be opened for lunch and dinner respectively. Because we don't find any good food in shopping mall nearby.

GGuest UserThere is no electric kettle, and what is more terrible is that you can boil water with your own electric kettle. The boiled tap water is suspended particles and I dare not drink it. There is no parking space, just on Saturday, after I checked in, I spent 20 blindly on the street to find a parking space. It took about an hour to get back from the church after dinner to find a public parking lot with vacant seats.
沈沈The hotel gave me a big surprise, the hotel is in the scenic area, the room decoration is characteristic, very clean, not old, the only regret is that breakfast is too little, but the coffee is very good
