"I recently stayed at The Bath Hotel Beaumont from 25th to 26th April, where we had booked two standard rooms with windows. Unfortunately, the experience was quite inconsistent. One of the rooms was very good, clean, and comfortable. However, the second room was extremely disappointing and in poor condition. It was significantly below expectations, especially considering both rooms were booked under the same category. I would strongly advise avoiding the smaller standard rooms, as the quality seems to vary greatly. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient. The spa and swimming pool facilities are also good; however, it should be clearly noted that these come at an additional cost per person, which is not communicated transparently at the time of booking. Parking is available but costs around £25 per day. Unfortunately, the service associated with this was very poor. Our car was parked under a tree and was left covered in bird droppings. When we raised this concern, the staff were unhelpful and stated they did not have the manpower to clean it. Instead, we were given cleaning supplies and expected to clean the car ourselves, which is highly unprofessional given the price charged. Additionally, the valet service was unreliable. On multiple occasions, we had to wait 15–20 minutes for our car, and twice we ended up retrieving it ourselves after being told to wait. This defeats the purpose of a paid valet service. The staff, particularly at reception, came across as rude and unprofessional, especially when handling complaints. For a hotel of this standard, the lack of basic service, including room service or an efficient call service, was surprising. Overall, while the location and some facilities are good, the inconsistency in room quality and poor customer service significantly impacted our stay. I would not recommend this hotel unless improvements are made."

"Most of all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We emailed ahead to ask if we were able to leave our bags in a safe place as we were arriving on the morning of a wedding and before official check in. The team replied within the hour. We were able to borrow a phone charger as well. Our room was clean and tidy. The overall energy of the hotel was calm and quiet during our stay. The location was fairly central as well, it seemed. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.

"Entry from the car park to level -2 with stairs or lift access to Reception at level 0; (Additional access direct to street via a few steps at level 0 too); Check in was very quick with a short form to sign / append car registration if using the hotel's car park; Unfortunately 1 lift was out of order for the duration of our stay but there were very few times we noted the other lift was already in use; From here we had to traverse the complete length of the hotel to our room at the other end with stairs up and down, to find our room with window looking out over the laundry delivery area but some views of the sky still possible; By the admission of the staff, the hotel is (over)due a refurbishment and the whole place looks tired and worn, although noted to be clean; However shower cubicle in the room was plenty big enough, and the light-up mirror over the sink was good. The mixer tap on the hand basin appears to be plumbed L/R opposite to the markings on the tap; Plenty of plug sockets in the room, some with USB sockets. A big plus was the breakfast which was plentiful and efficiently overseen and served; Choices included standard cooked, cereals, fruit, etc with juices and hot beverages; No dinner was served but the hotel is is close proximity to several other venues within a 10-15min walk into the town centre; Also very close by is the BIC and the Pier / Seafront is less than 10 min walk; The Pool / Gym / Sauna is not very large but adequate and while the Hot Tub was warm with very vigorous jets, the Sauna was quite cool at the time of visiting. All in all, a nice enough place for a couple of nights, quiet and relaxing, with attentive staff."

"We specifically booked this hotel for our anniversary and they decorated the bed with petals which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very nice but the rooms were a bit outdated and the toilet was dirty. There were quite a few downsides which did ruin our short stay. We booked this hotel specifically for the spa facilities mainly the jacuzzi pool but this was out of order before we got there and we were not informed of this otherwise we would’ve booked elsewhere and it wasn’t fixed for our entire stay. Swimming pool was decent but not the cleanest as i felt dirt on pool floor. On our last night we ran out of water and my wife is pregnant so i went to the night porter and asked for a bottle of water which they provide complimentary daily but he said he couldn't give me one and he could sell one from the bar, which i found ridiculous. The room didnt have a fridge so we couldnt buy any water and keep it cool. Parking was £10 a day which I believe should be included in the stay. Hotel staff were friendly other than that but I would probably look elsewhere next time. For the price we paid I did expect a lot more from the hotel."

"Room on first look wasn’t as well maintained with markings on the wall. Tea, coffee and biscuit were provided but some packaging were already opened (wasn’t sure if this was an oversight but I did not need any of the items so did not matter to me) . Bed was however comfortable and toilet shower pressure was good. Location of hotel is a short walk to the beach which was convenient. Did not try the breakfast but it looked really good."

"We have just come back from a lovely weekend stay at the Marsham. The outdoor pool was a highlight, clean, warm and hours of fun! It was also a sun trap so lovely to sit around too. Literally 5 min to the beach and another 5 to pavilion gardens, a fab location too. In addition the staff were all lovely and helpful- they were smiley and happy to be there, which makes such a difference when you’re away (Odelia at the bar and the man who checked us in on Friday afternoon, we’re especially lovely. Also the hotel had a lovely mix of ages, families and couples- the accessibility features for everyone were amazing- such an inclusive place. Thank you for making our weekend so lovely!"

"Big room and accessible bathroom there is a very retro lovely charm here which is like of timeless but not in a bad way . The Internet was very good as were the facilities in the room . The only thing I would say was the bar soft drink was relatively expensive but it was just that you tasteless like it had been watered down too much"

The location is great, just a ten min walk from the beach, or a five min walk to get a ten min bus to Boscombe or Bournemouth (although these only go every half hour, seem to always be late and stop running by 6.30pm so plan carefully, or take a stress free taxi ride instead - just £6 to Boscombe).  The hotel is clean and tidy, but the reception staff I met were sullen and unhappy to help, the beds we had were awful (feel every spring, I padded it with two quilts to be able to sleep, luckily it was very hot so we didn’t need them) and unfortunately our window was broken so I couldn’t shut the noise of people entering/leaving the hotel directly below the window out. However, the man sent to try to fix the window was extremely polite and helpful, and respectful of my request to be really quiet and softly spoken around my autistic son who was trying to get to sleep. And he fixed the window.  Luckily we were only staying for one night, so despite the painful bed, I would come back for another cheap, brief stay.

Clean room, ample space, bed was super comfy and great TV with many channels. Could hear next door’s TV slightly. Bathroom smelt like someone had been smoking in there for years, even showering and leaving the door open wouldn't help clear the smoky/musty smell. Felt like it was stuck to the walls. Otherwise, great stay! 15 min walk to town.

Booked this hotel as I stayed before in some Ibis hotels. When came to check in the person from reception asked us to wait until he checks the room.( it was around 4pm)? I assume room was meant to be checked before. Took him about 10 minutes or so. Took the keys room was nice, comfy, minimalistic If i can say so.(i would have a mini fridge). In about 20 minutes while we weregeting ready to go out AC stared to lick quite badly. When went downstairs told the same person at the reception he only nodded ( I mentioned as its for the interest of the hotel as everything is geting wet, floor, wall). After we came back, enetered the room was quite hot as the AC was off. Couldn't turn on, tried to contact reception through the WhatsApp number that is offered in the room ( saying phones are such a 1980's), no one answered after about half an hour tried to call the same number, again no answer. Tried to call the hotel, went through the AI. Went downstairs in the end to ask how to turn on the AC. Person at the reception said it is off from them and he can turn it on for me, which he did. After about 1 hour i had to go downstairs back to ask to turn it off as the water dripping was getting on my nerves and the AC could not be turned down either from the room. At least I was given a fan that helped to solve the issue, and I was told to complain in the morning if I need. Another thing I want to mention is that therr is no ice in the hotel, as when i went downstairs and asked for it been told they dont have any, neither fridge is available in the room. So my fathers treat away was unfortunately ruined by the hospitality of the hotel. At least weather was good.

Double sea view room with balcony. Spacious bedroom with nice seating area. Clean and in good decorative order. Comfy bed, quality linen. Wonderful, original metal-framed window and French door opening out onto huge balcony. Unfortunately, the sea view tuned out to be when looking left from the end of the balcony and not from the actual bedroom. Kettle needed descaling. Bathroom well appointed, nice towels and quality Elemis toiletries, but would benefit from a really thorough deep clean and a lick of paint. Absolutely fabulous public rooms, not ‘dated’, as some reviews suggest, but furniture and fixtures appropriately in keeping with the style and period of the building. Wonderful! Beautiful outdoor pool area and indoor spa. Lots of outdoor seating areas. Extensive woodland to the rear of the hotel. Just a few minutes walk to Knoll Beach, through the hotel’s extensive grounds (which includes tennis courts and a golf course) just over the road. Absolutely no information provided about any of these brilliant amenities, or indeed anything at all, in our bedroom. Also, no information about Wi-Fi, no information about breakfast times, no information about how to even contact Reception on the telephone provided in the room … The food at the evening meal was exceptional but was let down by the very slow service as staff focused on setting tables for the following day’s breakfast - which turned out to be so disappointing that it was hard to believe that both meals had originated from the same kitchen.

Great location and service…so lovely to see this hotel continuously grow, and offer more as the years go by.  The staff are so helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My only gripe would be the food menus at both the restaurant and bar area. It’s rather limited and it would have been nice to see a more expanded range of light bite meals for lunch. Lack of sunbeds was also a little disappointing too.

I had read the reviews so I was not expecting much. All the staff appear to work really hard. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is really grubby and in much need of new carpets, redecoration and maintenance. (Sorry you maintenance guys, it might be a case of not enough hours in a day). Its NOT good enough to say ”there is only one pump” when no water comes out of the shower and then its brown for several minutes! I believe the pool is a new addition but why let the weeds grow up around it? The room was disappointing, my clothes hangers kept falling out of the holes and my clothes were then laying in the bottom of the wardrobe. I requested some hangers from reception, but no hangers existed? It was recommended that I book a table for dinner, I opted for 7pm and the steak. Forty minutes later it was still being chased up! Chatting around the pool it appears two people can stay for £80 per night but I was charged £133 with breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style and barely warm. I visited the hotels in the group and they are by far better. I will not recommend this hotel or stay again!
