"A truly outstanding experience! The reception team was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Every question was answered with genuine care, and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with a smile. Their outstanding hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommended, and we would gladly stay here again. Five stars!"

"The staff are excellent, very friendly and ensure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms in the hotel need updating; I would not choose to stay at the hotel again due to the rooms being quite basic for a 4*, and no safe in the room either. The restaurant area is nice. The bar area could do with an open fire, which would be in keeping with the property and, due to the bar's location can be quite cool. I found the lockers difficult to use; there are no instructions when trying to use them, only in the reception area. I did ask someone to show me, but they were too busy apparently, so I asked another customer to help me. There was no concession for late checkout on New Year's Day; however, upon request, this was granted. You also have to book for breakfast; therefore, on New Year's Day, I had to get up for 9 am to go down to breakfast, which was not ideal. I had paid for the trip online when I booked; however, when I came to checkout, I was charged the full amount again and was informed that there was no log that I had already paid, but when we arrived and checked in, it was acknowledged that I had paid, it was a good job that I had the email displaying that I had paid. Upon further investigation by the hotel, it was noted that I had paid. I thought that I had read somewhere that there was an option for a set menu for NYE, but al a carte was still an option however this was not the case. The food was ok. The stay was made better due to the friendliness of the bar and restaurant staff, all credit to them."

"It was our first stay in Castlecary. The location is lovely. The reception was professional, plenty of parking available. The room itself was very clean and spacious. The only thing we noticed was the floor boards were quite noisy as you walk on them. We did not have food but restaurant was available which was open until 8pm. They sever breakfast for £12/person. Overall, a nice, comfortable place for a stay."

"The service is OK, the breakfast service is very good, Fiona has a good attitude, very friendly, the room is clean, but the shower curtain is a bit tasteful, each hotel is different, this home is still OK overall, especially like the breakfast chef Fiona. I will book this hotel again next time."

"Really lovely hotel with great bathroom and room! Restaurant had some beautiful food and at breakfast they remembered I was vegan and told me veggie sausages were available without me even asking :) recommended"

"The room was spotless, staff were brilliant, could not say a bad word about anything. Will definitely stay again."

"設施：和好朋友相聚真的太適合來這了，每年都會來兩三次，已經成為我的聚會必備了 衞生：環境非常不錯，很出片，推薦想拍照的姐妹來！ 環境：點了好多吃的，味道真的沒得説，尤其配上店裡的飲料，絕了呀 服務：店裡的裝修風格感覺很簡約時尚，又帶點小特色，很適合📷拍照噢"

"Room was tidy and relatively clean, although skirting boards could do with some attention in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and probably had the best nights sleep in quite a while. Breakfast was extremely good especially the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Evening meal was taken at Cooks restaurant but was a bit hit and miss to be honest, we had two evening meals and one lunchtime meal. My husband tried to watch the football in the bar back inside the hotel but the bartender didn’t seem to know how the tv worked. She said she would go and get help but nothing came and then we saw her finish her shift so ended up not watching it. This also meant that no one attending the bar. Gave up and went to bed."
