"My overall experience was very good. I booked ROK due to my family staying there, and I wanted to be with them. We travelled to Jamaica for family bereavement, so we wanted as little hassle as possible. Staff at reception were approachable, friendly, welcoming, and professional. The general look was aesthetically pleasing; I loved the decor throughout. Entry was spacious and clean. I stayed on the 7th floor, which was clean, and has a communal ice machine. The room was a bit smaller than I would have liked, but fully functional, there is a fridge and coffee machine; I would have liked a kettle due to preferring to hear my water boil! We slept well for the most part. My only issue was noise in the morning, I could hear the housekeeping staff chit chatting amongst themselves as they carried out their duties. Doors banging, etc. Due to time differences, I woke up at 4 am. I guess this made me sensitive to the surroundings. The bar is excellent, located outside by the pool, and a breath of fresh air. We spent most evenings by the bar enjoying a cocktail or 2, plenty seating, and staff are accommodating. I must commend the toilets in the communal areas... fresh fresh fresh, they use a beautiful smelling air freshener; I was impressed by how well maintained the were. I didn't have breakfast because I generally eat later in the day. However, my family thought choices were repetitive after a few days. Bar food was fresh and delightful. There are a couple of places to eat outside the hotel. However, I would not recommend them due to extensively delayed waiting times. Just eat at the hotel or find elsewhere. Overall, I would recommend the ROK, and I would definitely stay again."

"Our flight was late and we got to the hotel sometime after 9 pm. when we reached the hotel, the hotel staff advised us that they had computer problems and could not check us in. We waited over 1 hour to find out that they had given away our reservation. We tried to get something to eat while the hotel staff tried to find us another room, but the kitchen closed at 10 pm and we were very hungry. They tried to accommodate us and let us order 2 salads to go which took 30-45 mins. When we finally got our salads and we also got notice that they found us a room for the night. When we got to our room, it was very nice. They gave us the executive suite for the night which eased my dissatisfaction in their service for the night. The next day, I asked if we could stay in the Executive suite for the rest of my stay without any additional cost since they could not find us another room as i had originally booked. they agreed and my aunt and i had a great time for 1 full day. On our 3rd day when we returned back to the hotel room after being out the full day, we noticed load machine like sound coming from the room since we were on the 10th floor. Then we notice the sofa seat was wet and water on the floor. Then we noticed water coming from the ceiling running down from the ceiling down the wall and over by the living area and by the bar area. It was crazy. I had to call the front desk and report it. They sent up someone to evaluate and then when they saw it, they called the manager or engineer to take a look. It appears that work was being done on the roof and the water came down into the suite and made a mess of the furniture and floor. The engineer apologized for the inconvenience but and then left. We were left in the room with water all over the floor and unable to use the living room. We ended up having to call the front desk to have then send someone to clean up the water on the floor and on the furniture. We ended up eating in our bedrooms. When we checked out, i mentioned to the hotel staff about the inconvenience we had with the water and the staff was sympathetic but no apologies or offer to give a discount or anything. I decided i would not return to this hotel again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially with the experience we had."

"Customer service was friendly and professional and very helpful. The room was comfortable and relatively clean but the floor and carpet was not swept or vacuumed, sheets and blankets smelled like crap but looked cleaned. Restaurant was great for breakfast which was a mixed of Jamaican and American style breakfast. I did not take advantage of the pool or the gym so I can’t give a rating but overall it was a pleasure hotel. I would book this hotel again."

"The accommodation was not as depicted. First there is no couch in the room and we did not get a room with a balcony as requested. I went there a day before we checked in and spoke with a lady at the front desk on Thursday the 23rd, since the rest of my family was coming in on the 24th. She assured me that we will be on the same floor, the rooms we requested was available. On check in, none of this occurred and she never relayed our request. The room was barebone, the receptionist told us the photos shown on the websites needs to be taken down. Towels were skimpy, one has to beg for extra towels for a party of four. Fridge was unplugged and empty ! Initially on arrival, I small bottle of water given to each person on arrival and that was it ! For the stay ! One has to beg to get water. We ended up buying at the supermarket. The security was good. Exterior gardens need to be maintained. The linens have seen better days. The tiled floor was dirty in the room. We carried bedroom booties and they were so dirty from the floor that we had to discarded them before we left. Some cafeteria employees are nice, others are grumpy and slow. This would be nice place, if only they could upgrade the furniture and maintained the exterior. It takes for ever for the hot water to appear ! Location is the best-selling point for this small hotel. Security is 👍 great."

Our host Sue was warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. She communicated well before our arrival and throughout our stay. She’s Knowledgeable on interesting places to shop and visit. The facilities available at the property and grounds surrounding were as described which was reassuring. Breakfast is available at an additional cost should you wish, which we opted for and were pleasantly surprised with the quality & selection of food & juices offered. Excellent value for money. We would happily stay once again at Millsborough B&B on a future visit. 😃
