"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Stay with an Incredible Mount Fuji View I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Clad Gotemba and really enjoyed the overall experience. The hotel was very well equipped, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was definitely the dinner and breakfast buffet. There was a great variety of food to choose from, and it was nice to have so many different options available for both meals. But the absolute highlight has to be the open-air onsen with the Mount Fuji view — it is simply insane! 🗻♨️ Soaking in the hot spring while looking out at Mount Fuji was such an amazing and memorable experience. A couple of small suggestions that could make the stay even better: * Pillows: The pillows were a little too soft for my preference. It would be great if guests could choose from different pillow types or have a firmer option available. * Onsen hours: It would be fantastic if the onsen could stay open later, especially for hotel guests. Since there isn’t a huge amount to do around Gotemba at night, having the opportunity to enjoy a late-night soak would be a wonderful perk. Perhaps the later hours could even be reserved exclusively for hotel guests after the public bathing hours end. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Clad Gotemba, especially for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with an amazing Mount Fuji view and a fantastic onsen experience. I would happily stay here again!"

"A simple spacious room with 4 beds that accommodates our family of 4. The bathroom is rather compact but it's clean. Walking distance to Hamamatsu station with few malls nearby."

"The location is incredibly convenient; the hotel is directly connected to the high-speed rail and bus stations on the ground floor. The breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant had a great view. Plus, there's a free rooftop onsen, which was a pleasant surprise! Although the room was small, it was very clean and the facilities were new. The hotel staff were patient and friendly, providing excellent service. Overall, I was very satisfied!"

"I stayed for five nights and chose Imahama Tokyu Hotel over Shimoda Tokyu Hotel, mainly because it's within walking distance to the station, even without using the hotel shuttle. We arrived in Tokyo at 2 PM by plane, so we definitely missed the hotel shuttle. We took a train to Imahama station ourselves, but that station was a pain – no elevator, so we had to carry all our luggage down. Also, the Izu area at night can be a bit spooky with limited street lighting. Ms. Masaki, who checked us in, was very friendly. Later, she even provided emergency first aid for my family and me, which was much appreciated. However, some individual staff members at this hotel weren't very friendly towards foreign guests. Perhaps it's because they mainly cater to local tour groups. Some rude interactions made me uncomfortable, but this was only with a few staff members; most were friendly. Breakfast quality was decent and offered a good variety. Due to personal taste, my options were limited, but every morning there was a freshly prepared item, and they were all quite good. I especially liked the tempura fish and croquettes. The young man frying the croquettes was also very enthusiastic. This hotel also provides a microwave, ice machine, washing machine, and dryer. We didn't use the washing machine and dryer due to questionable hygiene concerns, but the microwave was very convenient. We'd often return to our room in the afternoon for a break and could easily heat up some simple food. The room cleaning service was excellent; it was spotless every day. My only regret is that the sofa bed was uncomfortable. When unfolded, the headrest area sank in, causing neck pain, unlike sofa beds in other hotels. Of course, Ms. Masaki did suggest upgrading to a room with a proper bed for an extra charge during check-in, but I decided against it due to the cost. Additionally, there were a lot of mosquitoes and flying insects in the summer here. We killed several mosquitoes and flies in our room and were bitten during breakfast. After the first night when we enjoyed the view from the balcony, we didn't dare open it again because there were too many bugs, especially at night. I suggest the hotel implements some pest control measures, like mosquito repellent lamps or wall-mounted insecticides (my family uses these every summer to treat our balcony walls)."

"Super views from the 42nd floor. Gets better as the night draws in and the city lights come on. Location is very convenient being right next to the train station and close to lots of eateries. Staff were polite and helpful but just that, would’ve liked a bit more friendliness. They knew it was our anniversary but not one congratulated us. Overall we love this hotel especially with its music theme evident throughout, eg the elevator decorations and the piano keys on the floor. Very arty and will definitely come back again one day 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏"

"We stayed 2 nights at this hotel to go to the Fuji Shibasakara Festival and a half day tour with the Goriki Gan Tour bus(only available on weekend). Excellent location, short walk from Fujinomiya train station. Though the room is small, however the set- up was well designed to accomodate all the basic necessities in the room. The only set back is the small shower area, low ceiling and small window, but the air conditioner is individual controlled, so it is not too stuffy. Walking distance to a BBQ eatries 焼肉ふじ山 富士宮店 and Aeon Mall. Breakfast is decent and there are free drink and ice cream in the evening.. As the weather were sunny , we are lucky to see Mt Fuji for two consecutive days."

"Great location! I chose this place after seeing in the reviews that it's run by a Chinese couple. We experienced an earthquake and a typhoon during our two-day stay, so we couldn't go sightseeing elsewhere. We just explored the surrounding area when the rain eased up. I often come to Japan for vacation and have stayed in all sorts of hotels and guesthouses. Overall, this place is pretty good. I met the proprietress when checking in and the owner when checking out. Not bad at all! The hotel also offers several free shuttle buses."

"The newly opened hotel offers Chinese-speaking staff who are very friendly and welcoming! The environment is incredibly quiet! The rooms are cozy, and the beds are very comfortable! The bathrooms are clean and spacious, and the rooms offer views of the sea and mountains! The outdoor hot spring is especially wonderful—tranquil and peaceful. Soaking in the hot spring while listening to the birdsong is so relaxing! There's an Italian restaurant right next to the hotel, as well as some local cuisine! The food is excellent and highly recommended! There are also several other restaurants along the street, so dining should be very convenient! I booked a free pick-up and drop-off service from the station, and since it's not far, it arrived quickly! I wasn't late for my train/train! If I have the chance, I'll definitely come back again!"

"I came to Izu last year and again this year. After considering many factors like value for money, location proximity, and convenience to Mount Omuro, Jogasaki Coast, and Izukyu Shimoda, I still chose this hotel. Although the hotel looks a bit old from the outside and is run by elderly people, they are very spirited, healthy, speak excellent English, and are very polite. The rooms are also exceptionally clean. I absolutely love this hotel and have recommended it to every friend I know who is traveling to Japan! I hope everyone will support their business; you definitely won't regret it!"

"The hotel's location is very convenient. Coming out of the north exit of Numazu Station, you'll see the BiVi shopping center, and the hotel is right behind it. The front desk is on the second floor, and they have Chinese-speaking staff who are warm and attentive. There are many restaurants around the hotel, and a Lawson convenience store downstairs. The room is considered large for a Japanese hotel; you can open two 26-inch suitcases simultaneously. The room also thoughtfully includes a massage chair, and on a clear day, you can see the tip of Mount Fuji from the window."
