"It's a mixed bag. On the upside, it's within walking distance of the train station, and the price is decent. Plus, there's a pedestrian street downstairs with lots of food options. The downsides are that the 'economy' room feels like an afterthought, a leftover space from other rooms. The layout is really odd, the room is small, and it definitely doesn't feel like a 4-star hotel. The tea station was so badly designed that the kettle couldn't even sit flat. To top it off, the kettle was dusty and still had cold water left by the previous guest, clearly showing that this part hadn't been cleaned at all. The public area on the second floor is a highlight though; it's very pretty, a good spot to relax if you don't want to stay in your room."

"Clean convient and overall good service. Receptionists excellent and bar staff good. Ruben's restaurant excellent food and fair prices... the restaurant manager worked well and very pleasant demeanour..... the waitress were bit mixed and didn't seem too happy! Our six days stay thoroughly enjoyable. We had an executive room well appointed and despite being on the road side really quiet ... housekeeping very good. Location ideal for station to both airport and other locations. All of beautiful Leiden easy and delightful walks with a wide range of friendly restaurants..... also within 300m three mini supermarkets for your needs! Well done we'll be back on our next visit to see our grandchildren studying in Leiden!"

"Nice, stylish lobby and a great location. Parking is far too expensive as there's no private parking lot. Even after checking in online, there was still a long queue for the key. The room had no instructions and no extras like a bottle of water. No fridge for medication! Kids were playing and running in the hallway! Noisy rooms, though the sound insulation from outside is good. The mattress is comfortable but had lint that was easily felt through the bed linen."

"Great service, friendly staff! The room was spacious and clean. The location is truly beautiful, with touches of the past still preserved. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was excellent. "The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the central station, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is a bit old, but some facilities have been renovated, so it's generally acceptable. The breakfast offers a good variety, and you can even order à la carte, plus the service is decent. However, a major pitfall is the Wi-Fi – if you're not careful when connecting, you can easily select a paid option. My husband experienced this, and we immediately went to the front desk to explain and request a cancellation. They initially said there was no charge, but this morning at checkout, the bill still included it. Furthermore, we called for two pairs of slippers and had to call multiple times over two hours before they were finally delivered. It was quite frustrating."

"I loved everything this hotel is trying to do which is why I booked it - and I wasn’t disappointed! The hotel is comfy, well appointed and the level of thought in the sustainable construction and running of the hotel is next level. The room was well designed and laid out particularly the gold back bathroom door. For breakfast there is the extensive menu which at €18 is not cheap (and in my mind should include a barista coffee), or the more price conscious barista coffee and a pastry for €5.50. My only disappointment was that some of the staff were quite offhand, scowling and sighing if you asked a question, and talking negatively about other guests in front of me (a guest). Training will resolve this …"

Conveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service. The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression. One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience. Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.

TheHilton the Hague in the scenic Zeestraat is worth your money. My room was big size and so was the bathroom with a lovely bathtub. The view is a bit meh, but there is enough to do or to see in the neighborhood. The only thing I did not like was the (too) loud popmusic over Sunday breakfast.

This hotel is a great choice for business trips to Rotterdam. It's centrally located with lots of shops nearby. Both the bathroom and the room itself were quite comfortable. Being so close to the train station means you won't be rushing to catch a train to Amsterdam for your flight!

Impeccably clean and spacious room with full kitchen and a comfy bed. Extremely convenient location adjacent to metro station and in the centre. I liked the working space as well and made use of luggage storage without no issues. Frequent fire alarms was the only issue that I would complain of(had 2 in 4 days). Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here if I were to visit Rotterdam again

The room was decent but unfortunately the window was right above the entrance as everyone is smoking right under it, so don't think about opening the window. We arrived and there was a sock on the smoke alarm, went downstairs to notify reception and another customer told us it had been there when he stayed days back. Clearly people smoking in rooms, but we couldn't smell it much so that's a plus. The reception staff came to take it down swiftly but it should have been caught way earlier by the cleaning staff! The bathroom was nice. WiFi worked great in rooms as well.

We booked just one day in advance at a very reasonable price and were truly pleasantly surprised! The breakfast is delicious, and I think €20 is a fair price. The only thing I might suggest adding is perhaps salmon or mackerel. The beds are lovely, though the duvet is really too thick for this time of year! (In the middle of summer), which meant we didn't sleep as comfortably as we could have. Otherwise, the hotel is well-insulated; housekeeping started early in the hallways, but we didn't hear a thing from our room, nor did we hear any noise from other guests or rooms. We arrived quite late (10 PM) and were even able to have dinner! The service staff are incredibly kind and genuinely go out of their way to help you. I found the cocktails a bit pricey, but they were delicious. In short, I would definitely recommend this hotel (provided there's an option to change the duvet... after all, you come to sleep comfortably 😉)
