i had a great stay in this hotel. i experienced a refreshing atmosphere. quite impressive architecture. a unique atmosphere. i recommend this hotel. but the only problem is the location. far from city center / tourist area
The hotel is very good and the environment is very good, but the hotel is a bit old. The sea view room has a very beautiful view, but I forgot to book breakfast. Breakfast is 30 euros per person, which is a bit expensive!
The breakfast was amazing! In the restaurant I was sad to see they only had one server in the restaurant she seemed to be working very hard but it took a long time to get our bill. I’d like to see them utilise the outdoor area more because it’s very nice. The front desk were very attentive
Located right next to Vantaa Airport, it's easily walkable. Finding the hotel from the airport was straightforward thanks to clear signage. The breakfast was standard but perfectly adequate. Our room was spacious and came well-equipped with amenities, including a kettle and coffee. An excellent choice for a layover or transit.
Easy transportation to city center, with plenty of bars and a few grocery stores nearby. Staff is helpful and they have fans you can bring to the room. Large kitchens to cook in. Bathrooms aren't great, but they are reasonably clean and functional, with soap provided. They have social activities planned. It's a good value.

The room we were assigned does not have a window. So, no natural light nor air. It has a huge column in the middle (1 meter of diameter), reducing the free movement in it. Very uncomfortable. In addition, there was no television, but a beamer with a big screen (no instructions to use available). All in all, the bedroom was clean but far from the standards one expects in this type of 4-star hotels. We arrived very late at night for the check-in at the reception and we were not asked or informed about these room conditions. We did not request the change of room as it was so late and we were tired after a very long trip.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, no doubt about it.
When checking in, the front desk patiently and carefully informed us one by one, and I checked in an hour in advance and it went smoothly.
There was a very fragrant tea for breakfast. I asked the waiter which one it was, and she spent more than ten minutes to help me find the tea.
The hotel in Finland is comfortable and relaxing.

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the STOCKMANN department store. There's a tram stop directly in front of the hotel, offering a one-stop ride to the central train station or a few stops to the cruise terminal. The hotel has its own bar and restaurant, but unfortunately, it's closed on Sundays. Be aware that some basement rooms have no windows, and some rooms are located in a back building, requiring a transfer elevator and a bit of a walk down the hallway – so make sure to ask for clarification. During my two-day stay, I encountered several guests who couldn't find their rooms. The hotel's facilities, cleanliness, and room layout are all good. A great bonus for East Asian travelers is the in-room kettle and a variety of tea and coffee options. The breakfast is rich and offers many choices, perfect for those who enjoy Western cuisine. Taking a ride in the small, ninety-year-old elevator is quite an experience, haha!
Let me talk about the facilities first, very perfect!
The bathroom has a washing machine, drying rack and laundry balls! Dry and wet separation!
Kitchen has everything! Oven, dishwasher, all kinds of pots and pans! All you can think of is ready!
The industry also provides! ! USB charging head! Plate! ! ! ! Everything is so beautiful 😊
Traveling is also very convenient ~~ From Helsinki Central Station, take the No. 4 bus and get off at kauppiaankatu and walk for less than 1 minute. Basically, you can see the signboard when you look up! Don't worry about the problem of luggage dragging for a long time to get to the accommodation point! Very close! !
There is also a supermarket downstairs where you can buy ingredients ~👍👍👍
Check-in only needs to be registered on the mobile phone ~ to get the check-in password ~ very effective and fast!
The area around the hotel seemed to be more of a business district with many companies, rather than a tourist spot. It's a bit of a distance from the city center, but it's within walking distance to the subway, and only one stop away from Kamppi, the city's central hub. You can enjoy sea views right from your bed; the beautiful scenery from the window was the biggest highlight of our trip and the main reason we kept extending our stay.
The only downside was the housekeeping, which was quite disappointing. Even though we extended our stay, a thorough daily cleaning should still be expected, shouldn't it? There were coffee stains on the mugs, dirty spoons weren't replaced, and even urine stains on the toilet seat...
Despite these issues, the value for money was still quite high. Helsinki truly stands out as the Nordic capital offering the best value for hotels, and I believe this hotel's excellent value significantly boosted my overall impression of the city.

GGuest UserGood value art deco hotel for a three night stay. Exceptional breakfast. Not very helpful pre advice about location. So…
If you are coming from Helsinki port (eg ferry from Tallinn), get the tram 7T to Kaisaniemenpuisto. Then a short walk to the hotel. Tap and pay at the ticket machine for €3.20 one way, zone AB.
From Helsinki airport, get the train to Helsinki main train station, 33 mins, tap and go, zone ABC. To get there walk down the road for 7 to 10 mins; contemplate some cobbled streets when wheeling luggage, but not an issue.
NB Helsinki Kampii is the main BUS/COACH terminal that you may use to go to Porvoo for a wonderful daytrip; a bit more of a walk from the Arthur Hotel ( use Google maps). Not to be confused with the Art Deco train station. All are walkable.
Finally, a visit to Suomenlinna (zone AB tap & go) is recommended along with Senate Square/the Cathedral & the Russian Cathedral.
Great restaurant for Finnish food and beer under €7 is Ravintola Kolme Kruunua. Lovely shops at the harbour stalls & Craft Corner. Take a walk down the Esplanade.
FFeiyuDirectly opposite the hotel is a small, quiet park. The location is excellent, being very close to the city center, port, and subway, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. There's also a great coffee shop just a short walk downstairs. Overall, I really liked my stay. The only minor point is that there was no kettle in the room for boiling water, and I had to ask for one. I'd suggest the hotel consider proactively providing kettles, especially for Asian guests, and Chinese visitors in particular, as it's a common preference.
GGuest UserNice location and friendly staff, and THAT’S ALL THE PROS.
GUEST WI-FI IS DOWN throughout my stay and no alternative network is available, then I missed one online meeting. BEDSIDE SOCKET IS BROKEN, making it impossible to use the phone or tablet while charging, and the ADVERTISING IS QUITE MISLEADING —I booked a single room at Trip.com, I thought it would be a room with private toilet, since nothing was mentioned in the title while other types of rooms are highlighted for the “shared bathroom”. Well, and the SOUNDPROOF can just be ignored.
Maybe ‘Hostel’ is better for the name.
GGuest UserLovely clean hotel near the airport with a free shuttle bus. Breakfast was ok lots of choice. Only downside no bottle water in room or tea/coffee facilities in room. Shower was good but be careful the floor gets very wet.
AAr JayIt has bidet!!! 10/10. First time to see one in EU.
Perfect location just right outside of the hotel is a tram stop. It has a grand lobby with a nice overlooking of a Town Square which is good for People Watching. Room is clean and spacious. I was able to checkin early at 12pm.
My only complaint is the pillow. It’s too ‘bloated’ and not comfortable for sleeping. So I used the duvet of my other bed (being in a Twind Bed Room) as my pillow. The handwash container was empty. But the shower is nice. Strong waterflow.

RRoger L WongThe building is pretty new and clean. However it is relatively small consider Helsinki is not a crowded city. It is conveniently located with a small supermarket around the corner. Otherwise will have to walk back to Helsinki station area where there are a few larger supermarkets available. Heating is not very strong for the time we visited (late Oct). I can't imagine how heating would be enough during winter. We were quite happy with our stay but one small thing that can be improved - a simple instruction on how to separate our rubbish. We are happy to comply with the Finnish way of recycling but at the same time we were a bit confused on which bin is for which item.
GGuest UserThe hostel is perfect for travelers in search of a fair accommodation at the heart of helsinki city centre. It’s quite strange though that receptionists and hostel staff are almost never present and the only appearances were the one of the cleaning maid. The result is that guests don’t really communicate or interact no matter the huge living room and sofas and the fact that they all have to share the kitchen amenities. What happens is that the level of tidiness and accountability for the usage of mugs, plates, cutlery depends on your luck and the guests who check in each and every day. By the last day we had partygoers stopping only for a night out and cans of pepsi and a bottle of vodka were left on the common table (not sure if it was a shy invite to indulge) while the sink and the dishwasher were crammed with badly rinsed stuff. It’s a pity cause the common showers, the toilets and the rooms were fairly clean, we simply expected the typical hostel experience where you manage to socialize a bit more thanks to the staff.
GGuest UserThe distance is very close. There is no self-service check-in. The environment is not bad. There are shared bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens. You need to bring your own ingredients. The price is high and it is only about 1.5 kilometers away from Vantaa Airport. It is very cost-effective for those who want to travel for a short time or transfer. It's like living in a semi-forest! The heater is not very warm and the temperature is a bit low. I don’t know if the cold spot will be higher!
GGuest UserThe breakfast was amazing! In the restaurant I was sad to see they only had one server in the restaurant she seemed to be working very hard but it took a long time to get our bill.
