The room was clean, the environment was comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The toilet also had a washing machine and dryer available for use. Overall, the accommodation was good, but there was one thing I really disliked: the service. On the day of my check-in, the weather conditions across the entire island were terrible, with yellow and orange weather alerts issued. I couldn’t go anywhere, so I arrived at the accommodation at around 1 PM. Since the official check-in time was 4 PM, I asked if it would be possible to check in a little earlier. However, I was told that the room was “not ready yet.” Guess what? I ended up waiting in my car outside until 4 PM. During that entire time, I didn’t see a single person coming in or going out, and the place itself already looked neat and clean. I wasn’t asking for an early check-in just for the sake of it. Given the terrible weather conditions, I really had nowhere else to go. If early check-in is not allowed or simply not possible, I would appreciate it if you could just be honest and tell me directly instead of giving me the impression that the room wasn’t ready. The accommodation itself was good, but the service and the way this situation was handled were disappointing.

There is no reception or service at this hotel. There is a restaurant downstairs, but it was closed during our stay. They simply send you a code for self check-in. Make sure to double-check your room, as they initially gave us a different room from the one we booked, though they changed it quickly after we contacted them. One tip — visit Kirkjufellsfoss early in the morning. There is almost nobody there, and you can enjoy the whole mountain completely to yourself.

It was very good that there was a hot tub. Wi-Fi was not available in private rooms but available in shared spaces. The shared kitchen was clean and spacious. The bed linen table was not included in the inn fee, so I booked the linen after booking the inn. Please note that it will cost a plus. It should have been 1500isk per person. Also, I personally didn't like the shower room because it was not a private room but I had to go with other guests. I wish I had about one shower in the private room.

Highly recommended! ❤️ We stayed at Moar Cottage as a group of three, and everything was absolutely lovely!! 🥰 The cottage was super clean, tidy, cosy and warm, which made us feel right at home! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and they even prepared salt, pepper and cooking oil for us, haha! Such a thoughtful little detail! 😆 The bathroom was also spotless, and shampoo was provided too! The location was fantastic as well! There’s a supermarket just a 5-minute drive away, which made everything so convenient! Overall, we really couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Everything was just perfect, and we enjoyed every moment here! ❤️ Thank you so, so much for putting together such a beautiful and welcoming little cottage! We truly appreciate all the effort and thoughtful details. Would absolutely love to stay here again someday!! 🥹💕

Really lovely hotel. Everything great, only downside was the location. We hadn’t realised how far out it was from everything. Great for seeing northern lights but at least a 2 hour drive to lots of the popular sights.

The floor is warm, even though there are strong winds at night in the area, there is no one talking around. The sound of the wind is like natural white noise, and there are mini bar drinks, tea, and coffee included in the accommodation price. The service staff are very good, and the environment is very quiet except for natural factors. It is bright and clean, and the air is not cold at all

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable. The guests have a good breakfast, the host left us in the refrigerator for our food. The house was not missing any details, shoes, jackets for if we were cold. Apart from the kitchen, I had another ”zone” with Nespresso coffee shop next to and silences,books,... It is noted that the house is prepared with ”mimo” so that we feel happy. To improve towels that were already too used, that is, clean.

Quiet and clean hotel with lots of facilities which allow guests to enjoy. We arrived at the hotel late (after 9pm) and the hotel restaurant was still able to serve us food that was way beyond our expectations - the waitress was extremely kind and helpful. We were also able to catch the northern lights which was a pleasant surprise considering the time of the year (August). Overall, we are very pleased with our stay here.

The location is great, in the centre of the town. The guesthouse is near the Kaffi 59 restaurant, walkable distance. The room is not big. The shower room a bit small, only head to toe bath provided. Our room is in front the guesthouse near the car park a bit noisy in the daytime but at night is very quiet. The kitchen is good equipped with everything but there are only 4-5 tables. All in all it good. Recommend.
