Small compact room with modern interior. Comfy bed and well ventilated with mini fan provided. They provided extra bedsheet so that the sofa bed is converted to another single. Big enuf for a teenager to sleep on. Space big enough to open just one huge luggage. Somehow the room feels damp but we just stayed for two nights so did not bother changing rooms. Lots of free parking available. Near Aso milk factory which is a must visit for delicious pastries and snacks.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and polite, with radiant smiles (the kind where even your eyes seem to smile). The front desk staff even came out to greet us when we checked out, offered to take commemorative photos, and helped us drive our car across the street. They greeted us again as we drove away; we truly felt their warmth and hospitality.
The room was also very large (super large for a pure Japanese-style room; I roughly counted over 25 tatami mats in the main space), and the view was fantastic, overlooking a river, with the sound of flowing water (of course, you had to open the window; the soundproofing was quite good).
The onsen (hot spring) is another highlight of the hotel. We took the hotel's free shuttle bus, which runs every 20-30 minutes from the hotel entrance. It takes you to the hotel's open-air onsen, which has five different types, all of which were amazing, though surprisingly few people were using them 😂😂😂 My friends also said it would be a worthwhile experience to stay here again.
The hotel has renovated some rooms and is fully equipped. The hot spring water is of excellent quality, and the private hot spring is very comfortable. The rooms are well-designed. There is plenty of parking space in front of the hotel, making it feel like a large supermarket.
Very close to the airport, the front desk speaks very good English and is very welcoming. There is also ice cream and hot springs ♨️♨️ There is a humidifier in the room, a great place~
It was a very enjoyable trip 😀 The breakfast was delicious and beautiful. The service was impressive, and everyone's smiles were soothing. The view from the window was amazing, and I watched the sunset from my room. The historic hot spring was warm and comfortable. I want to go again ♪
The hotel room is very clean, the view is great, the open-air hot spring is also very good, the breakfast and dinner are buffet style, the breakfast needs to be improved, there are fewer choices, the dinner is also good, unlimited drinks, many alcoholic choices, beer, red and white wine, sake, etc. , the only drawback is that it’s a bit far, it’s really on a hill
To be expected in such a small town, the hotel is quite old and dated. The tatami room can accommodate four futons for a family of four, but there is almost no room left for anything else. The public onsen on 1F and roof are included with your stay. This hotel is great value for money if you know what a traditional Japanese onsen hotel is like.
The resort location is accessible actually by bus from tateno 立野 station and the last bus is in the evening you may check the timetable online. We did not drive and leaving the accommodation is less convenient because all taxis were booked out but the staff was very friendly as to driving us to the nearby train station to continue our journey to Aso Volcano.
Service was good. The private onzen was amazing and we were able to use it for one hour. The public bath was good too but the amenities they provided inside were not as enough, eg they don't have comb for ladies and make up removing pads. Other than that, cleanliness was amazing and staff were friendly, rooms had amazing Mountain View's.

SSukipigThe hotel is located on the mountain, the scenery is beautiful, there is a swimming pool, but it is not enough time, there is a hot spring, it is best to drive more convenient, the waiter will only speak Japanese when checking in, but it is polite, most of the hotel guests are Japanese, the breakfast is rich and delicious!
