What I loved -Super big room with plenty of space. Very comfortable! -Free yukata and sleepwear were provided, and they were really comfortable to wear. -Loved the onsen experience! There are different onsen baths, and everything is connected indoors so you don't have to go outside. -Buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing. So much variety, and the Aso milk was incredibly fresh and delicious. -The room had a beautiful view. Waking up to the scenery was one of the highlights of the stay. -Great place to relax, and I would definitely bring my family back next time. What could be better -The open-air parking lot is quite large, and some parking spaces are a bit far from the hotel lobby.

The resort location is accessible actually by bus from tateno 立野 station and the last bus is in the evening you may check the timetable online. We did not drive and leaving the accommodation is less convenient because all taxis were booked out but the staff was very friendly as to driving us to the nearby train station to continue our journey to Aso Volcano. Service was good. The private onzen was amazing and we were able to use it for one hour. The public bath was good too but the amenities they provided inside were not as enough, eg they don't have comb for ladies and make up removing pads. Other than that, cleanliness was amazing and staff were friendly, rooms had amazing Mountain View's.

It is the best place for hot springs. Parking is also extremely convenient. I would love to visit again with my family in the future, and I am very grateful for the detailed explanations from the staff member who speaks excellent Korean. You can see the river from the room, and when you open the window, you can hear the gentle sound of the water flowing. The building is unique, and just walking along the surrounding trails is a relaxing way to detoxify. I highly recommend the outdoor hot springs when it is cold, and the large public bath is great as it offers a variety of temperatures. I booked for one night, but I didn't have enough time to explore all the facilities and the surrounding scenery. On my next visit, I would like to book for two nights to look around more leisurely.

The hotel is okay, but quite old and outdated, so I'd say it should be cheaper for what they provide. Location is perfect for an overnight before your flight though. Stuff is friendly and helping, also they gift you a tasty ice cream. Hot bath also looks old, but it's a nice addition to relax before sleep, you can even watch the stars late evening in onsen. You can see the mountains from your window and lots of green houses) Breakfast cost is 1500 jpy, I didn't use this option. Overall everything was okay, but I believe they need to renovate rooms.

The hotel is not a fancy one, but the staff members (mostly elderly ladies but one or two of them have very good English) are all very nice. Its award-winning food service is definitely a must-try here, especially the dinner as it comes with sunset view. We were lucky to be arranged a window seat and was able to enjoy the beautiful sunset while eating the delicious kaiseki dinner. Breakfast is also very nice. And because it’s not your typical touristic destination, you are getting a very good value for money.

I joined a day tour from Fukuoka to Kurokawa Onsen, but booked a room in Okunoyu in advance. Contacting the hotel beforehand ensured they would pick me up, and they could also drop me off at the station the next day, which was great. The room was quite large and clean. The hotel scenery was beautiful (I imagine all hotels in the mountains are beautiful). There was one indoor and one outdoor onsen bath; a women's outdoor bath was open in the evening, but I was too tired to go. Since I booked through Ctrip, meals weren't included. However, restaurants in this small town close very early, basically by 6 pm. So it's best if the hotel offers meals. Later I checked and found that booking on the official website allows you to choose a package with two meals included, which wasn't available on Ctrip. I'll learn from this experience and definitely book through the official Kurokawa Onsen website next time. They also have a wider selection of hotels.

The hotel is conveniently located in the hot spring area, and the onsen 、large bath facilities are decent. I booked a one-night, two-meal plan. Unfortunately, the dinner portion was too small to be satisfying. I ordered an extra beef dish for 2,300 yen, expecting it to make up for the shortfall ，but it came with only three thin slices, which was very disappointing for the price. Overall, the onsen experience was fine, but the meal value needs improvement.

It was a hotel I booked in a hurry, but I rest well. It is definitely uncomfortable without a private vehicle, but I was able to travel well by running a shuttle bus three times a day. The driver is kind too. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hot springs were good. Originally, I didn't eat breakfast well, but the breakfast was delicious, so I ate it full for two days. ㅎㅎ Check-out is 10 am, but I was worried that the shuttle bus was 11 o'clock. Time is going soon!

It was a perfect trip from reservation to accommodation reception, dinner, and hot springs. I was able to spend my trip happily thanks to the friendly service and explanation.
