Very close to the beach, the day before the hotel was very late at about nine o'clock, I fell asleep directly. I woke up in the morning and saw the blue sky and sea. I was in a very good mood. There seem to be many Russians in the hotel, and the restaurant also specially put a Russian menu. My favorite is the early morning pool, the private venue, casual swimming, the deepest is about two meters, great. The breakfast is also very good, except for the local curry, I can accept it, the papaya is very sweet. Be sure to stay for two more days next time.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were truly amazing — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location is perfect, with plenty of nearby amenities, restaurants, shops, and attractions just a short walk away. Overall, it’s an excellent place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Heritance Ahungalla, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and the fresh juices served upon arrival were very refreshing after the journey. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, spacious, and well equipped with all the luxury amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere throughout the resort had a relaxing beachside vibe, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also used the gym, which was properly equipped with a good range of equipment. The resort has two swimming pools, and we spent most of our time at the main pool, which was absolutely massive and perfect for relaxing. The highlight of the stay was definitely the food experience. The dinner buffet was exceptional with an incredible variety of dishes. There were large selections of salads, appetizers, breads and buns, Sri Lankan specialties, international cuisine, and live cooking stations. The seafood and meat variety was especially impressive — including chicken, beef, pork, cuttlefish, prawns, fish, and many other seafood dishes, with multiple preparations for each. My personal favorite was the pork leg, which was incredibly delicious, tender, and flavorful. The dessert corner was huge, offering plenty of choices and beautifully presented sweets. After a very comfortable night’s sleep, we went for breakfast, and honestly, it was just as impressive as dinner. The breakfast buffet included a massive spread with salad stations, bakery items, fresh fruits, Sri Lankan and international breakfast options, live stations, and an amazing juice bar with around 7–8 varieties of fresh juices. They also had a dedicated cheese section, multiple yogurt options, and even 4–5 types of porridges, which was something unique and very well done. Overall, Heritance Ahungalla offers a fantastic combination of luxury, comfort, delicious food, and relaxing coastal ambience. Everything from the service to the dining and facilities was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway in Sri Lanka! 🌴✨

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa, so much so that I ended up extending by two extra nights. I also invited a friend along so they could experience it as a romantic getaway weekend break, and it truly was—wonderful to experience everything through a “rose-coloured lens.” While the resort is undeniably romantic, the real highlight for us was the ocean and beach itself. We were up early to frolic in the sea at sunrise, then we spent unhurried time strolling the shoreline, walking the beach and soaking up the calming atmosphere. We also loved popping over to a nearby beach lunch restaurant, then returning for more time in the sand. And it wasn’t just the scenery—there were also local puppies that made the whole experience feel even more special. We ended up playing with them, laughing, and getting thoroughly covered in sand, which made the days feel playful, personal, and unforgettable. This hotel was a last-minute booking for the final days of our Sri Lanka trip, and it exceeded all expectations. Aside from the slightly small room, everything was truly five-star standard, especially the meticulous and enthusiastic service from the staff. It felt like the level of service you'd get for 2000+ RMB per night in China. The highlight, though, was definitely the restaurant. Over three days, we tried almost all the high-end restaurants in the vicinity, excluding the Amans, but none of them compared to the hotel's food. For Chinese palates, you can communicate with the restaurant manager beforehand to request no coconut milk or spice. The local seafood, in particular, was amazing. Foodies should just stay in the hotel and enjoy the dining. Both the food and service were perfect. The bedding and bathroom facilities were also excellent. If I had to nitpick, the room size of just over 20 square meters felt a bit cramped, and there were no toiletries in the bathroom. However, these minor points don't detract from what is otherwise an almost perfect boutique hotel.

Set a quadruple room, in fact, can live 6 or 7 people no problem 😄 The hotel is located on the edge of the lake. Since we are going to Yarra National Park to see wildlife the next morning, the store packed breakfast for us very early.

Couldn't fault this hotel. My room was upgraded to a sea view de luxe room and it was fantastic. It was well cleaned every day by Jinendra who also left an amusing 'towel animal' for me daily! Breakfast in the Palms Restaurant was superb, plenty of choice and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Sam was exceptional and went out of his way to get everything I asked for. Madhuka and Dimli also deserve a special mention. The SHACK seafood restaurant was excellent and good value. We also had some evening meals in the Palms Restaurant. They offer a magnificent buffet but we ordered a la carte and were not disappointed. We ventured outside the hotel for an evening meal on a few occasions (across the railway line) but found the standard to be mediocre and not that cheap compared with what was available at the hotel. The swimming pool was easily accessible (graduated steps) and the water wonderfully warm. We never had a problem getting a sun lounger after breakfast although many are obviously reserved early. The extensive beach is lovely for walks. There are sun loungers in the shaded area in the trees but these have to be paid for. The hotel offers a number of daytime activities and there is evening entertainment. A wonderful stay and I would highly recomment this hotel.
