Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce. The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths. The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry. The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in. A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists.

The hot spring is very good, it is alkaline water, especially good for the skin, after soaking, the skin feels bright and comfortable. The hot spring is very large, there are various ways to soak, the outdoor open-air hot spring is also very beautiful, there is a bubble pool indoors, and there is also a strong impact to heal tired legs. The kaiseki cuisine is delicious, Toyama Prefecture has very good seafood, every night is very exquisite. The waiters are very good, and there are also waiters who understand Chinese. There is a spectacular snow scene in winter, and there are two medium-sized ski resorts next to it, which is convenient for skiing.

The hotel is within walking distance of Toyama Station, the Museum of Glass, Toyama Castle Park, and the City Hall Observation Deck. The Sakurabashi tram stop is right outside the door, which is very convenient for getting to the station with luggage.

Really enjoyed that onsen! This is a fantastic place to stay with an amazing breakfast buffet, a lounge where you can make creative tradition Japanese arts, big rooms, friendly staff and most of all an amazing onsen. The onsen here is maybe one of the best we’ve been to and we’ve been to a lot, it even offers a cold bath if that’s your kind of thing. The down sides (which very minor) are the WiFi which was pretty weak and the fact you’d need to have a car to get out there (which we did, but for some this may be a problem). Nevertheless, this place is a 10/10 would highly recommend.

The overall service is good, but when booking online, I saw that it was a twin room, and I mistakenly thought it was for two people. However, when I arrived, I was told that it was only for one person, and that one more person would have to pay 5,100 yen. When I checked in, I felt like I was being cheated, which affected my experience. Awesome hotel, I didn’t see a high rating when I booked Ctrip. I have been hesitating to make a reservation. However, the B&B in Baichuan Township is a wooden house structure that is too old. I chose this hotel. The hot springs are superb and the rooms are clean and looks like It didn't take long for the decoration, everything was very new, and I will definitely visit again in Shirakawa Township next time.
