Highland Resort & Spa Hotel is at excellent location, the express bus station from Tokyo is right by the door step. Although there is a theme park next door it didn’t seem to be open or busy. I booked a room for 3 nights with Mt Fuji view. And I was lucky enough to wake up to view of Mt. Fuji for 2 days. On the day I checked out, there was heavy snow, and I couldn’t see anything out of my window.
Hotel has a very big Onsen connected to the it which is free for hotel guest. Hotel had a few restaurants, the buffet breakfast was very good. The macron club Restaurant serves lovely Italian cuisine and a few Asian dishes. I had a very delicious lunch there.
Highland Hotel is closed to Kawaguchi Lake and Yamanakako lake.
An unexpectedly delightful stay! The hotel facilities were incredibly spacious. The room was huge, and our mountain-view room offered views of Mount Fuji. The hotel features a hot spring bath with multiple relaxation areas, offering not only ice water but also fruit vinegar. The lobby floor has a lounge that's open in the afternoon and evening, providing a variety of snacks (dried fruits, cheese, crisps, candies), soft drinks, juices, and various alcoholic beverages. You can stargaze on the rooftop, surrounded by a spectacular 180-degree starry sky. The breakfast area has two sections, offering a wide array of breakfast items and desserts. A thoughtful touch: the front desk even calls your room before breakfast ends to remind you to eat! 👍 Furthermore, the children's play area is excellent, spanning two half-levels with balls, board games, books, a board game section, a small toy truck area, and large climbing play structures. It's truly perfect for families with children. 😍😍 I recommend checking in a bit early. 😊
A small hotel under Mount Fuji, the scale is not large, the traffic is inconvenient without a car, the environment is very good, the mountain view of Fuji is very beautiful, the hot spring is also good, breakfast and dinner are quite satisfactory, I want to experience the recommendation of the forest nature.
A good place to relax in Fujiyoshida. A huge plus is the free bath. It is located in a beautiful place against the backdrop of Fujisan. From the bathhouse on the street you can't see the mountain because of the high fence, don't count on a good view.
This hotel is located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchiko. North-facing rooms offer beautiful views of the lake, while south-facing rooms naturally face Mount Fuji. You absolutely must book a corner room with a view bath – the room is spacious with many windows. The north-facing balcony has Mount Fuji as its backdrop, the south side overlooks Lake Kawaguchiko, and the west side offers views of Kawaguchiko Bridge. It's nothing but stunning scenery everywhere you look.
The hotel service is warm and attentive. It's a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko, but there's a hotel shuttle every half hour that picks up guests from the station's hotel pick-up point. The friendly driver has a list of guests checking in that day; just give your name. This gentleman is especially enthusiastic and can communicate in English. When he's not driving, he stands at the hotel entrance, greeting everyone who passes by – he's really endearing.
On our last day, I left a valuable LV cashmere scarf on a sofa in the hotel lobby and only realized it was missing three days later, after returning to Tokyo. I contacted the hotel through Ctrip customer service, and they confirmed they had it safe and sound, and I could either pick it up or have it sent. In the end, I made a special trip to retrieve it. This is the second time I've misplaced something in a Japanese hotel, thankfully without any major fuss.
The hotel's hot spring was a bit small, and breakfast was just okay – I couldn't find anything particularly good. If you're not afraid of gaining a few pounds, I'd recommend booking a plan with dinner. The dinner spread is incredibly lavish, with all sorts of seafood you can eat to your heart's content, especially the unlimited steak. However, if you order dinner separately, it's 8,600 yen per person, which might make your wallet weep a little.
🏨 the ryokan turned out to be much more beautiful than i expected from what i've seen on the pictures here
🗺️ the location is great, and even though we didn't get the room with the lake view, the view was still amazing. there's also a konbini and a few cafés right next to the ryokan, so it was very convenient
🕴️the staff was kind, it was easy to communicate in english
🧖♀️ didn't attend the onsen myself, but my friends told me they liked it
⭐️ taking one star off cause the shower-head was a bit broken and the room wasn't clean enough to my taste
I stayed here on a solo trip. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations beforehand. Since it was a weekday, there weren't many people, so I was able to relax and enjoy the large public bath and sauna. Before my bath, I had curry and boiled dumplings at the restaurant on the second floor. I still felt a bit hungry after my bath, so I went to an izakaya on the second floor. The portions were good and tasty for the price, and they're open until midnight, so I had the luxurious experience of eating and drinking to my heart's content and then going straight to bed in my room. It's a facility I'd definitely like to return to.
Stay here for 1 night in Mountain View room. This is the third hotels I stayed in the mt Fuji area. Located about 15 minute drive from the kawaguchiko station, and near the number 28 bus stop. The hotel has a shuttle to the train station that run on hourly basis. The check in was easy, stuffs are okay and helpful. There were bike rental available at the hotel. There were also binoculars that you can borrow from the hotel. Charged Laundry machine and message chair were available. The onsen has about 7-8 space for shower , wasn’t a large area but it was sufficient. The room itself is decent in size, cleanliness is okay but we saw a hair in the bath room when we first went in. There were no mould or odor in the room. Our room can see firework well but otherwise there is an 270 observatory deck ( although the window can’t be opened). The breakfast was simple buffet style which is okay.
Superb under the snowy mountains, one parking and two, Japanese dinner, Western breakfast can be selected, the room opens the window to see the scenery, like the promotional film, the starry sky is fate, the hot spring is also very good

AAngel_WongHThis hotel offers plenty of activities to keep you busy. I particularly enjoyed the welcome matcha tea from an authentic tea house. The rustic sake room provides complimentary sake, which definitely warms you up and relieves tiredness. There’s also an open-air foot bath available. I had a spacious room with a marvelous view of Mount Fuji every morning upon waking. The gourmet dining experience is definitely worth mentioning. The unforgettable drum show and bingo game at night were incredibly exciting. The onsen experience was perfect.

GGuest UserFor any Yuru Camp anime fans, if you also are interested in an Onsen experience this is the perfect place. The facilities and staff are amazing! I couldn't believe the size of my room, especially after coming from a business hotel in Tokyo. I thought Deluxe Twin was just the ”deluxe” version of a standard single twin size bed room instead of two twin beds but there are no complaints.
Given it's more remote location I was expecting zero English but I was so surprised at how well some of the staff spoke English and had print outs for English speakers. I have to shout out two staff members, Nozomi and Joon Bae's english combined with my limited and grammatically atrocious Japanese they went above and beyond making me understand how everything worked as well as assisting me with my ventures outside of the onsen. They have two e-bikes available for rent which I rode to the next station on the minobu line so I could visit the school that was used in the anime as well as get a taxi to take me to Lake Shibere, from episodes 6 and 7 of season one.
It was my first time in Japan, being the only foreigner at the hotel for the two full days, I only visited the baths once however the facilities are amazing and I plan on going back to use the Onsen more.

CcyberparasSuper place, very nicely furnished and private onsen, fully serviced hotel with full privacy and attended service kind hospitality,
Although limited western options for breakfast, very nicely and chef prepared Japanese cousins and with prior intimation, took full care for nice vegetarian Japanese food, completely private area for breakfast and dinner and with timed reservations,
Overall a luxurious experience,
Although can’t see Fuji from any of the room nor from anywhere in the hotel, mountain can be seen as soon as outside, lots of restaurants of all kind in walking distance, Lawson convenience store just two mins by foot, overall excellent location and super comfort, full privacy and good hospitality,
International staff and sometimes get a feeling that too many staff members rather flocking towards the guest which was at a times bit overwhelming but that is how it is, stringent about breakfast etc timings but that was fine,
Ofcourse expensive but worth sometimes!
