At 9:30 a.m., your personal guide and driver will be waiting at the gate, and they will accompany you throughout the journey to start this wonderful Shanghai tour.
The first stop was the Shanghai Tower, a skyscraper in the Lujiazui financial district that stands tall at 632 meters, second only to Dubai's Burj Khalifa. With your guide, you'll take the world's fastest elevator and climb to the 118th floor of the Sightseeing Hall at a staggering speed of 74 km/h. It's a great vantage point overlooking Shanghai.
Next, go to the Bund, an area controlled by the British during the concession period. When you see the century-old buildings, the view of the Huangpu River and the Riverside park, you will hear the history. Then visit a government shop for fixed-price souvenirs, followed by a lunch of traditional steamed buns and local dishes at a century-old shop (own expense). In the afternoon, visit Yu Garden, a famous classical garden built more than 400 years ago during the Ming Dynasty.
Next, take a stroll along East Nanjing Road, which is considered the best pedestrian street in Shanghai, like the Champs-Elysees in China. Then head to the former French Concession for a blend of East and West, where Xintiandi Hotanzi Fang is a great place to dine and shop. Take a relaxing day cruise along the Huangpu River. After the tour, your guide will take you back to your hotel.
Tips: Please note that Yu Garden will be closed for maintenance on Monday, for which special arrangements are made for the City God Temple in the urban area of Shanghai as an alternative sightseeing spot for you to visit and experience, thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
