Worried that the eSIM wouldn't work well, I bought a physical SIM card and picked it up at Hong Kong airport. It was very convenient; surprisingly, both the eSIM and the physical SIM worked very well. The network was quite good, but Hong Kong was too crowded—skyscrapers, narrow streets—it felt very oppressive.

Converting to eSIM through the app is very easy. You can retain your number for long-term use.

I used it without any problems. After inserting the card and completing identity verification, it was ready to use within half an hour. An additional 7 GB was added to my card the next day. Finding it at the airport isn't difficult, but the staff member there only responded to my questions with "we don't deal with that, ask Trip.com." However, generally, you don't need help. Just insert the card and scan the QR code to access the verification system. (It may take half an hour to an hour to activate.)

It’s actually pretty amazing. Works find with no issues at all and is fast. TikTok doesn’t work though from my iPhone but who cares. It’s great that’s what matters!
