On November 5th, this day trip exceeded my expectations, thanks to our guide, Wang Qin! At the Jade Ripples Hall in the Summer Palace, she gave a detailed explanation of the ins and outs of Empress Dowager Cixi's confinement of Emperor Guangxu, clearly outlining the escalation and eventual breakdown of their relationship. At the Old Summer Palace, she elaborated on the entire process of the garden's destruction, a humiliating chapter in history that served as a stark reminder. She used no difficult jargon and was very attentive to everyone throughout the trip, maintaining a perfect pace. Finally, she even gave us a gift: a power bank!★

Our tour guide, Ding Feipeng, was very responsible. The itinerary was well-planned, and his explanations were detailed and interactive. He explained Beijing's local features and enthusiastically shared his own introductions to the various doors of Beijing. He also gave us small gifts for free.
