I toured Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Yoshino in a single day using the Kintetsu Rail Pass. While it is excellent for saving money, there have been instances where QR code entry did not work at unmanned stations on the outskirts of the city, so I recommend that beginners use it at major stations or within the city. Also, please be aware that the response from the station staff at Kashihara-jingumae is terrible if any issues arise. I traveled for an hour to get there, but when I encountered a QR code problem, they just mechanically repeated that I should go back an hour to my starting station to resolve it...★

It's very convenient to use; you can simply scan the barcode at most stations, even in unmanned stations. The only difference is that you need to switch from showing a barcode to scanning it, and you need to find the correct barcode, as the barcodes for entry and exit are different. It has a wide range of applications and also differentiates between adult and child tickets, making it very affordable.★

Train from Kyoto Station to Nara Station. The process is extremely simple: pay, receive a link to a QR code, and then go. We booked the ticket early in the morning. The link in the voucher is permanent, but the QR code inside is valid for 5 minutes. If your time expires, refresh the page, and the QR code will change, returning to its 5-minute validity.★

The purchase itself was great, but the train left without me. Previous trains on this platform had stopped at the beginning, but this one stopped in the middle, and the driver got off and switched with another. So a couple of others and I assumed it was a technical stop and that the train would pull up to the platform and we'd board. But no, the train didn't stop and left. Nobody left Osaka.★
