Hotels With Bar in Sarawak, Malaysia

The staff were welcoming, greeting us with refreshing drinks upon our arrival in the lobby. However, I was disappointed to find that we were assigned a room facing the kids swimming pool, lacking the promised sea view that was stated in my reservation. Apart from this, the overall stay was satisfactory.

This is probably my 5th or 6th time staying at The Waterfront Hoteland for good reason! It remains my favourite hotel in the city. The view from the room is simply magnificent, whether day or night, and always takes my breath away. I absolutely love the pool area it’s such a relaxing spot to unwind, especially with the scenic backdrop. Another major plus is the hotel’s direct connection to the mall, which makes shopping and dining super convenient without having to leave the building. The room is well-equipped with complete toiletries, which I really appreciate. Everything is kept clean and comfortable, making each stay feel like a mini escape. One small downside: the toilet floor tends to be quite slippery. Although a small toilet mat is provided, it doesn’t quite cover enough area to prevent slipping, so that’s something to be cautious about.

The service here is really good! Everyone is very friendly, and they even helped me upgrade to a bigger room — so nice of them. 😊 The hotel is currently under renovation, so things are a bit messy, and breakfast is served on the rooftop. The room itself feels a little old, but overall still comfortable. I’m really looking forward to seeing how amazing the hotel will be once the renovation is completed!

I had a truly pleasant experience staying at the Grand Margherita Hotel in Kuching. The location is excellent—right by the waterfront—making it very convenient for sightseeing, relaxing walks, and exploring nearby attractions and eateries. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience even better. Breakfast had a good selection, with both local and international options, and the dining area was comfortable and spacious. Facilities like the pool and common areas were also well-kept and enjoyable. Overall, Grand Margherita Hotel offers great comfort, good service, and an ideal location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching, whether for leisure or business.

The Sheraton Kuching is perfectly situated in the heart of Kuching. Just a few steps outside, and you'll feel the city's pulse. * Want to see the famous Sarawak River? It's just a short walk away, where you can enjoy the riverside breeze. * Looking to explore historical traces? The Kuching Waterfront, the colonial charm of the Old Town, and fascinating museums are all within easy reach. This isn't just a place to stay; it's your ideal base for exploring Sarawak's rich culture and natural wonders.

Great hotel with clean rooms and coffee, tea, etc. Location was convenient for bars and restaurants in the evening. Overall great value for money. Breakfast was ok, but an egg bar and more different breads would have improved it for western tastes. Coffee was good though.

Two things that could’ve been better: 1. Parking I get that parking is limited since the hotel’s right in the middle of a busy road with other hotels and shop lots around. Still, it would’ve been nice to have more parking spots at the hotel itself so I could see my car and feel a bit more at ease about its safety. 2. Breakfast I get that there are plenty of breakfast places nearby, but I myself is a fan of hotel breakfast when staying at a hotel. During my 2-night stay, the menu stayed pretty much the same except for the main dish. I understand not many guests may choose to eat breakfast at hotel like me, but I wish still there was a bit more variety.

The hotel is located in the town area, just walking distance to the main bazaar, waterfront, and other tourist attractions. Very convenient. The pool and cardio room is located at the other wing, there is a bridge to walk over.

Location near to hospital, however far from town, but accessible with taxi. Loud noise penetrates into the room if ambulance siren, noisy bikes and cars, as the glasses are not thick enough to block the noises. Lack of amenities. However, the facilities are still new. Good interiors. Balcony is spacious. Impressive water pressure and constant hot water. Tentative staff. Good breakfast.

The resort is too old which need to have a major renovation. It has been there for more than 30 years without now any upgrade. Most facilities are old and run down.  The Hilltop room is too far from the beach which is not convinence for senior people. Breakfast buffet is over charged and not value for money but their service is quite good and friendly especially two ladies work at Egg/noodle section. Should offer ala carte for those not wish to have buffet. Not much activities at the resort apart from enjoy the beach view.
