A nice spot of paradise among the chaos of dakars hustle and bustle. Amongst the higher end experiences price wise it is somewhere worth visiting alone for the comfort and accommodation of the team at Boma lifestyle hotel and attached YouYou restaurant. Fantastic atmosphere on weekends which are great for a cocktail as well as great food options that accommodate somewhat towards a European pallet for those not looking to stray to far from home. My girlfriend who is from cameroon recommends the Mafe for more traditional flavours where, I had the Yassa Poulet which would suit many visitors with is rich onion base. For those looking for a comforting European touch any of the pizza options will suit alongside a cold pint of gazelle. Utilise this hotel as a resting place to visit such sites as Ngor, goree island, the African renaissance monument, the pink lake, sandaga, and nearby visit the surfers paradise at hotel virag for some chilled entertainment of local and foreign surfers alike. For a nice meal that touches several west and central African pallets head to maison B. Exceptional hospitality alongside fantastic food, cocktails and shisha all at an affordable budget. For pastries head to Graines d'or a five minute walk from the hotel. And also head to happy Happy Hour & Degustation across from Jgo and maison B and see what cameroonian meals are on offer alongside some drinks an socialising with their owner. The petrol station next door provides a variety of snacks and beverages including cheap alcohol and a cash machine.

I recently returned to Yaas Almadies Hotel for what feels like my umpteenth stay since I first discovered this gem in 2018. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed the hotel’s warm ambiance and welcoming staff, but this time I found myself a bit disappointed. While I still love the location and the overall vibe, it’s hard to ignore that the hotel is showing its age. The rooms, which once felt fresh and inviting, now seem to be in need of some serious maintenance. The furnishings are starting to look worn, and small issues—like peeling paint and outdated fixtures—seem to be accumulating. It’s clear that the hotel could benefit from a renovation to bring it back to its former glory. However, what truly stands out and makes my visits worthwhile is the incredible staff. They are consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about the guests’ experiences. Their dedication and hospitality continue to shine through, making up for some of the hotel’s shortcomings. In light of my recent experience, I hope the management takes note of the need for upgrades and repairs. I’ll certainly be back, but I’d love to see the Yaas Almadies Hotel return to the pristine condition I remember. Here’s hoping for some much-needed TLC!

Very good, the seaside hotel has a good atmosphere, the price is slightly higher

Hotel was clean and staff friendly, location was good as well, breakfast was okay.

The location overlooking the lake is of course fantastic. On-site restaurant and bar are lovely, three pools to choose from (all operational when I was there). If you want to swim in the lake it's a bit of a climb down a wall to get there, or you walk through the bushes behind the small building at the far end of the pool area. Staff was nice even if maybe a bit uninterested, but can't blame them, there were barely any guests and they essentially kept the restaurant and bar open just for a tiny group. Everything friendly and nice. Rooms are a bit dated but everything works fine, so it's alright. WiFi was actually very decent.

Excellent stay at this brand new establishment! . The rooms were wonderful and spacious offering a Cozy bed was also a huge plus!! . The staff was highly efficient, accommodating and true examples of exceptional service. . The food was ok. We didn't experience the breakfast buffet since there were very few guest, so this was totally understandable. They didn't miss ANYTHING on this one and spared not one amenity. From energy efficiency, luxury accommodations and beautiful decor. I recommend Sama for your visit to Almadies Dakar.

Modern location right in the heart of Dakar with an excellent breakfast and outdoor pool make Novotel Dakar a strong choice for both business and leisure stays. The staff are generally warm and helpful, and amenities like free WiFi and parking add convenience. However, some rooms feel dated and the check-in process is occasionally slow, so it may take a little patience to get full value.

The room is small, the transportation is convenient, there is a swimming pool, and there is an outdoor restaurant next to it. There is a good boat-shaped restaurant nearby walking north along the coast. Breakfast was okay. The room smells a bit strong and a bit damp, but you can get used to it. The main focus is business and security.

Really loved my stay here. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing room with a nice balcony. AC was great. My favorite was the pool on the rooftop and the variety of the breakfast buffet. Can absolutely recommend staying here.

This is the second time staying at this hotel , it’s a good clean place to stay with a certain charm . I think it’s run by a French family. Convenient location and a nice restaurant on the roof for dinners, I highly recommend this place
