Okinawa Hinode Hotel
The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to Makishi monorail station, with direct access from Naha Airport. It's just a 100-meter walk after exiting the station. The hotel's common areas are fantastic! The restaurant looks spacious and bright, with plenty of seating and beautiful decor, including buffet counters adorned with flowers and lights. The self-service facilities offered by the hotel are incredibly rich, with a coffee machine, various drinks, ice cream, and a popcorn machine! This is a real bonus for family travelers or anyone just wanting to relax at the hotel. The hotel also offers complimentary beer, plum wine, Awamori, and even free late-night ramen, providing excellent value for money! They have children's tableware, making it comfortable and convenient, and with so many free food and entertainment options, it truly feels relaxing and enjoyable.

The location is fantastic, right on Kokusai Street. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. There's a bus stop right outside, and it's not far from the monorail station, which is very handy.

Located very conveniently near Makishi Station, and at the west end of Kokusai Dori. Clean hotel with nice amenities. No gym though.
Overall we were ok with the stay here. But two episodes eroded the satisfaction over service standards:
1) Booked 2 rooms for a total of 5 pax, through Trip.com via the same booking on the same day.. however upon arrival, only one room was given the daily welcome drink coupon (Orion beer) while the other was not. When asked, they said it was a change in policy and not all rooms are given the welcome drink. From the reviews, we were already expecting welcome drinks for all. The uneven treatment between rooms made it worse. I feel the service staff did not handle it well.
May I suggest Trip.com work with the hotel to state explicitly which room types will / will not be offered this benefit, for clarity.
2) one of the service staff serving welcome drinks at the bar showed a black face when my family member made a request that was fulfilled the day before. The order was grudgingly fulfilled and the server just turned away after putting the drink on the table. That was unprofessional.
Hope the hotel can work on their comms and service standards.
This might be the best hotel on Senagajima… hmm… the sunset is beautiful, the sea view is beautiful, and watching planes take off and land is also beautiful… but… the hotel's hot spring had a rotten, watery smell, the restroom on the first floor was dirty, there were ants in the room, and it was clear that many facilities hadn't even been wiped down in a long time. The staff were actually quite patient, and English communication was fine, but then there was an unexpected incident: I am very sure my wife and I are mindful of noise levels in public, yet during dinner, simply because I borrowed a phone, an elderly Japanese man at the next table, without any warning, yelled “shut up” like an animal. And the nearby staff member did nothing… If it weren't for considering international relations and being in a foreign country, I really would have wanted to have a vocabulary contest with that animal-like old man… To be honest, this was my first time encountering such an incident in Japan, but the hotel staff’s inaction completely ruined my impression of the place.

This property is BEAUTIFUL. I loved every part of our stay. The room was so spacious with thoughtful amenities, the public baths and pool area felt very luxurious and clean, and the location is hard to beat in Naha. The staff are all very kind and thoughtful, many spoke English but even those who didn't were extremely patient with my little Japanese. I would like specifically thank Santosh from the front desk staff. We ran into an issue with our baggage getting delivered in time before our departure to our country and if it wasn't for his help we wouldn't have had a hope of ever seeing that luggage again. His compassion and willingness to help us clueless tourists navigate our options and prepare our luggage for delivery will be remembered for a long time. I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends traveling to Naha!

Hotel is very amazing. Location is great. Very near the Monorail and Family Mart. Our view from hotel room is very scenic. If driving, there's a multi-storey car park if Mercure car park is full to park. I managed to park 1 night in the car park of the hotel and was an enjoyable experience parking inside an auto-generated car park. All the staff including those at the Reception and car park are super helpful. We booked the medium range of rooms and are happy with it. Caught the sun-set from our room. Happy to see monorail passing-by. Will definitely be back to Mercure if I visit Okinawa again.

Location is excellent - within short walking distance to Ashabashi monorail Station and Naha Bus Station. Although size of room is small but it has sufficient amenities and good WiFi. Free breakfast is also good with western and local options. All in, it is value for money. Asked the reception for lunch venue on arrival and we we directed to a great local small proprietary restaurant which serves great pork boned noodles. Went back there 3 times for their noodles. Yummy!
The hotel boasts exclusive access to a large private beach, offering an elegant environment and spacious, bright rooms with fantastic sea views. The breakfast spread is diverse and delicious, and its close proximity to the airport makes it incredibly convenient. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

The service was excellent, and breakfast was great too. The grassy area next to the hotel was beautiful. The hotel itself feels a bit old, but overall, it's a very good value for money. Definitely get the breakfast, it's delicious!
The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the sea, making water activities super convenient. The keyless entry with a password lock is a great convenience. There's a Lawson convenience store right next door, and a bus stop directly across the street for easy access to the airport and attractions.

AAnonymous UserVery near to the Asahibashi station & Lawson, it took less than 7-8 mins walk. Also near to Naha bus Terminal.
You can walk to Prefectural office and down to Kokusai Dori shopping street for around 26 mins.
Everything look exactly like pictures shown in the website.
Check in early is available but it cost like 500 yen not sure if this is counted by how many hours early you wanna check in, i paid for 500yen to check in early.
The women's floor have CCTV even in the bedding area(corridor), so is safe.
At the women's floor, there's toilet & changing room/powder room, no shower room. If you want to take shower, you need to go down second floor where the onsen located. Inside will have a shower room.
Overall stay is good, clean and affordable. Recommended for solo travelers.
Cclem.dbnExceptionally surprised by how beautiful the resort was. The entire property was well-maintained, peaceful, and even nicer than expected. The service was truly top-notch — the staff were consistently welcoming, attentive, and professional.
One of the highlights was the complimentary lounge access, which offered free snacks and drinks. It was a really nice touch and made the stay feel even more relaxing. The ocean view from the resort was also stunning and added to the overall experience.
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were surprisingly affordable considering the quality and variety. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and well worth it.
The pools were just as impressive — clean, spacious, and perfect for unwinding. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would absolutely stay here again.
JJingaoxianshengFacilities: First off, the large public bath on the 13th floor of the hotel is fantastic in my opinion! It was so refreshing to come back every day and have a good soak.
Environment: Right outside, just across the pedestrian bridge, is the bus terminal, making it super convenient to get anywhere! Walk a little further and you'll reach the Asahibashi monorail station. Getting to Kokusai Street took about 10 minutes, so it was also very handy for buying souvenirs!
GGuest UserOverall stay was good except a few. Some staff member in front desk was not very accommodating. When asked questions i barely hear the answer and i felt being ignored. Secondly, the wifi in the room was so bad. Too many distruptions thruout the day.
GGuest UserFuku-chan, Nicole and 2 cats, algae balls and boiled beans were gently welcomed, and the number of days of stay passed in no time. It is a very satisfying inn and recommended to everyone.
The interior and exterior are very nice. I feel like 〜 I came to the resort. I used the parking lot for renting a car.
The living room is clean and comfortable. The bed futon was very fluffy and I could sleep well.
The area is very convenient location if you have a car rental. It is very close to Fusaki Beach and you can walk to the beach (passing the main building of Fusaki Beach Resort, especially no procedures).
I had breakfast. The dishes that are particular about each ingredient and seasoning will heal your mind and body.
We have never experienced it, but we can receive healing treatments and Yoga.
It is an inn that I want to visit again.
GGuest UserPros:
1. The hotel is close to the Cape Manza scenic spot, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
2. The hotel offers a wide range of water activities, including but not limited to banana boats, jet skis, an inflatable water park, glass-bottom boats, and sunset cruises. If you're not planning on visiting the outer islands, you could easily spend a whole afternoon here.
Cons:
1. The hotel is a bit old. The lobby has no air conditioning 🥵, and the room decor and furnishings feel dated. The shower pressure in the bathroom 🚿 isn't great either.
2. The outdoor pool closes at 6 PM, and the beach only stays open until 5 PM. I won't even mention other times, but Okinawa right now is scorching hot and sunny. The only time you can really enjoy the pool or ocean without getting baked is closer to sunset (unless you don't mind the sun, then never mind what I said). But then you only get to play for a short while before you have to leave!! 😅
Kkelvin.likes.cheeseUnexpectedly Perfect Stay at Southwest Grand Hotel! 🌟
We stumbled upon Southwest Grand Hotel due to a last-minute flight change, and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be! Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel.
🛏️ Stylish & Photogenic Rooms
The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results!
🍳 Breakfast That Delights Every Palate
The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them!
📍 Prime Location
Just a minute’s walk from Kokusai-dori (国際通り), the hotel is perfectly located for last-minute shopping or grabbing essentials. Super convenient and central!
🍽️ Vibrant Evenings
As the nearby streets settle into a peaceful hush and most restaurants wind down with only a handful of diners, the lobby restaurants at Southwest Grand Hotel remain buzzing with energy. The lively atmosphere, filled with cheerful faces and clinking glasses, speaks volumes about the quality and charm of the hotel’s dining experience.
💭 Still Dreaming About It
Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!
GGuest UserI used to stay near Cape Manza whenever I visited Okinawa, but this time I wanted to try a different beach, so I booked the Moon Beach Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained and quite nice. The room was surprisingly spacious. I didn't book a sea-view room, but if you have the option, definitely go for it – it's absolutely worth it!
For breakfast, there are two choices: a Japanese set meal or a more standard Western-style buffet. The room key is quite unique; it's shaped like a seahorse. On the ground floor, there's a shop selling beachwear, which is a good option if you haven't brought any.
Eating out near the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of options. There are also many diving schools and car rental places nearby. Some diving schools even offer Chinese-speaking services, so it's worth checking out if you're interested.
I'll definitely be back next year! 🤩🥳
GGuest UserThe ocean view is stunning, and the architecture is beautiful. The walls resemble a star-like structure, and the light reflected on the ground changes with the changing sunlight, which is beautiful. The sunset is also stunning.
The service is average, and the experience is just average.
GGraceLcmWe arrived almost midnight after a long day, looking forward to a good rest. The room (Deluxe Twin) was okay and comfortable, nothing much to complain about.
However, the service was quite disappointing.
We booked a Deluxe Twin under one name and naturally expected breakfast for two persons. Upon check-in, we were told breakfast was only for one, and we had to top up more than ¥5,000 for the second person. That was quite a surprise.
What made it worse was the receptionist repeatedly making remarks in Japanese mentioning “Singaporean” during the conversation. Even if we didn’t fully understand everything, the tone and body language were uncomfortable and unnecessary.
After a long journey, you really hope for warm hospitality — unfortunately, this was not the experience we had.
Just sharing our experience.
