Good stay at Jazz Hotel Penang 👍
Really satisfied with my trip here. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub and even a complimentary bath bomb which made the stay extra relaxing. Love the rooftop pool and the overall modern vibe.
Location is convenient — walking distance to Straits Quay and easy access to Gurney area for food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely come back again!
Everything is good..the room is clean and comfortable, the view is beautiful. The beach is behind the resort. Only the elevator had a big problem. It was too slow, and we waited 20 minutes but still couldn't go down. Full of people. We had to use the stairs to go down to the 15th floor.
Five stars all around! Big shout-out to the friendly front desk staff. I was torn between JEN Hotel and Wembley, but ultimately chose Wembley because I saw reviews mentioning early check-in, which was a huge draw for me. It's also Chinese-friendly, and the front desk staff can communicate in Chinese. Even though rooms were very tight during Chinese New Year, the hotel still allowed me to check in quite a bit earlier. This gave me a precious three-hour nap, helping me avoid the hottest part of the day and making my first day of sightseeing rich and energetic. Wembley and JEN are just across the street from each other, but Wembley is on higher floors, offering a more expansive view. It's only about 700-800 meters to both Mural Street and the Clan Jetties. There are also plenty of shopping and food courts nearby. The hotel itself is well-maintained, and soundproofing is decent. My only minor complaint: For two adults and one child, we requested an extra comforter, but they brought a blanket instead. Using just a blanket requires quite some courage!
Overall, a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The only minor issues were that the door was a bit difficult to push open and there was a small amount of dust in the corner of the room.
The food was good, although the variety could be improved slightly. The gym and pool facilities were both very good and well kept. Aside from these small details, everything else was perfect. I would happily recommend this hotel.
The hotel's location near the airport with a complimentary airport shuttle service was a huge plus. We had an early flight at 7 AM the next day, and they checked us out at 4:50 AM and took us to the airport, saving us from the risk of being overcharged by a taxi. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant with reasonable prices; the coconut and stone pot chicken rice were quite good. There's a pool that's perfect for kids. The hotel also has a small courtyard with a mural wall that's great for photos. However, the room facilities are a bit dated. The large room I booked had a stained sofa. I'm not sure if it was perfume or an air freshener, but the scent in the room was a bit overwhelming and needs improvement.
Highly recommended, a great value-for-money option in George Town city center. The hotel staff are really friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and they allowed me to check in ahead of time, which let me get some much-needed rest. In the lobby, there's complimentary iced water and chilled drinks available, and when it was hot, a staff member proactively offered me water. The porter also took my luggage directly to my room. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious, with a view overlooking George Town city center. The bathroom was a bit older but still perfectly functional and very clean. It's incredibly convenient here; the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and the street art area are only about a five-minute taxi ride away. I also slept very comfortably at night. Highly recommended, I definitely made the right choice.
Stayed here with family for a wedding weekend. We booked the 3-bedroom unit and it was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the living area was a great spot for us to hang out between events.
Being so close to the action was a huge plus, especially since we stayed out late for the after-party. It felt very secure, and the facilities are top-notch. It’s a stylish, hassle-free spot that’s perfect for hosting families. We’ll definitely be back for our next family gathering in Penang!
The quality of services provided is unsatisfactory. The toothbrush was not replaced after the second day, and creamer was not supplied on the subsequent day. Furthermore, the in-room telephone is inoperable. Dirty window.
A bit far from Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang, where the kids love to play, but very close to the core area of Penang. Suitable for young adults and seniors.
Breakfast was pretty good, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. It's not far from central Penang, so shopping and dining are convenient. The melodious call to prayer from the mosque outside lulled us to sleep.
Cons: The air conditioning in the lobby was too cold. You could see the distant Penang Bridge, but where was the bay view? :)
Really liked the hotel environment. The location is super convenient, right below Komtar. We came to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks, and after it was over, we could go straight upstairs to rest, no need to deal with crowds. The staff were also great, and the room was very clean.

GGuest Userthis hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the heart of George Town, right next to a large shopping mall. While there wasn't much to buy, it's conveniently close to the main city attractions, all within walking distance. I arrived at the hotel around 9 AM on an early flight from the airport, which took about 30 minutes. Luckily, there was a room available at check-in, and I was able to get an early check-in. The hotel shows its age a bit, with some older room facilities, but everything was functional. The breakfast was quite rich, and the lady at the noodle station was particularly enthusiastic. She eagerly introduced the daily specials and even mentioned that I wouldn't get to taste that specific flavor the next day! Overall, the hotel offers good value for money.
MMixiavipThe hotel lobby is spacious, and they have a gym and afternoon tea. When I checked in, the front desk gave me two incredibly fragrant cookies. Right outside the hotel is a night market street. That old man selling粿条 (kway teow) is super popular; there's a long line, but the taste is pretty good.
CchaobaoAll the rooms are windowless, which was really unpleasant. We stayed here to rest after a late-night flight, but I couldn't even lie down because the musty smell was unbearable.
Overall, the service was okay, and the value for money is truly excellent. If you don't want to spend too much and don't have high expectations, I'd definitely recommend booking a room here, given its location.
Jiang's Restaurant is just across the street.
AAnonymous UserLet me start with the positives. Because I was worried about ghosts, I booked a room in the newer Victory Wing. I told the front desk I trouble sleeping, and they gave me a middle room on the 9th floor. The room had high ceilings and a sea view, which was quite comfortable. The housekeeping was also good; they turned down the bed in the afternoon, leaving two bottles of water by the bedside. The minibar was complimentary, and cleaning was quite frequent. The drainage in my bathroom wasn't great; the water would overflow my feet if it was a bit strong. I didn't report it, but housekeeping still came to clean it, possibly as part of their routine. The lobby and restaurant staff were all quite nice too.
Now for the negatives, which mainly centered around the restaurant. As a five-star hotel, it's unacceptable that there were cockroaches at the noodle station! I truly can't accept this. Malaysians might be more laid-back, but this is a hotel hygiene issue that I believe shouldn't be taken lightly. I don't even want to go into how disgusting cockroaches are. Also, the glasses were always dirty; they seemed to wash them and use them on the spot. Couldn't a hotel of this caliber prepare more glasses?
GGaojinnvshenjingThe room was very satisfactory, and I loved the sea view window design; I slept very comfortably. However, the location is quite remote, the sea view is poor, and the beach and water are not good at all – you can't even look at them. The only good thing about the hotel is its excellent facilities, and the restaurant food is also delicious.

AAnonymous UserStay at this hotel mainly to celebrate my girl birthday . Thanks for hotel arrangement let my girl have a surprise birthday 🎂 .
Swimming pool got 2 slides 🛝 and 2 pools.
Hotel breakfast a lot of choice. We like the fresh fruit juice!!
The hotel sands can link to public sands. It can walk to famous fire shows Ferringhi bay.
SSylvia Wan 2908I booked a king-size bed for me and my daughter. The room was very big (huge huge size) and had two large air conditioners. There was also a big sofa, a table, and chairs in the room, which made it very comfortable.
The bathroom was very clean, and I really liked the shower because it had different water settings you could change.
Every day they give two welcome drinks, and you can choose alcohol, tea, coffee, or juice.
The hotel also has a kids’ play area, a gym, and a yoga room. They provide filtered water, so you can refill your bottle anytime.
We ordered the smoked duck pasta and nasi lemak. The nasi lemak was really delicious.
This hotel is so closed to the airport.
I really loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again.
