Exhibitions
"Touch the deep ocean" is co-organized by the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Bicheng Culture. Starting from the deep sea, this special exhibition on ancient life evolution traces the evolutionary journey of life from ancient oceans to land. The exhibition unfolds along two narratives: spatial depth, gradually approaching hidden and extraordinary life forms, and temporal regression, guiding us through hundreds of millions of years to discover life relics preserved in rock layers. Through deep diving simulations, the exhibition sequentially presents marine life forms inhabiting different depths, from shallow waters to abyssal zones. The deeper we explore, the closer we get to the primordial pulse of the ocean, gradually approaching the quietly resting "fish-like ancestors" and arriving at the witnessing site of "ancient sea monsters".
