We understand that prices are often higher during Chinese New Year, but we paid HK$2,408 per night including breakfast for two—about three to four times the lowest room rate—and stayed for three nights. At this price point, we expected better maintenance. The air conditioning and the bathroom ventilation both had a noticeable odor and clearly needed deep cleaning. Every day, black particles were blown from the air conditioner onto the bed (photo attached), which was quite unpleasant.
On the positive side, the location is excellent. It’s about a 15‑minute walk to Kokusai Dori, and Don Quijote is conveniently located on the second floor, so I could shop every evening. The hotel is also just a 5‑minute walk from Tsubogawa Station and only a short ride from Naha Airport.
The room itself is practical, with a microwave and an in‑room washer/dryer, which is a big plus. If the room rate had been more reasonable and the ventilation properly deep‑cleaned, I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.
We had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Collective in Okinawa. The property is still very new and exceptionally clean throughout, making it a highly comfortable place to relax.
Key Highlights of Our Stay:
Great Perks for Families: They provide a dedicated kids' room that is completely free of charge. While it is not very big, it is still a nice bonus for families traveling with smaller children.
Excellent Outdoor Jacuzzi: The outdoor pool complex features a fantastic hot tub with a jacuzzi function. The water temperature is kept very hot, which felt amazing on a breezy, cool day of about 18–20 degrees Celsius.
Outstanding Breakfast Buffet: Future guests do not need to spend extra money hunting for authentic Okinawan food outside! The hotel's Vision & Emotion morning buffet serves an incredible spread where you can taste all traditional Okinawan dishes alongside Western and standard Japanese favorites.
Pro-Tip for Future Guests: I highly recommend adding a little extra money to your booking package to include the breakfast buffet up front. It is absolutely worth it and saves you the hassle of searching for food in the morning!

The most glaring point here is the breakfast place and quality.I would assume for a 5star hotel, it will be near lobby or somewhere decent. End up at a obscure hall where the food wise is so-so and very cluttered. Not even a decent coffee machine that 3 star hotels use . The room is decent but a bit dusty on inspection. Toilet is old school and small. The onsen and indoor pool is small. The gym at 12th floor is without window and free weights, very unbecoming of a 5star hotel. Location is at least a 15 mins walk from the monorail station. No housekeeping for weekend apparently.

Our check-in date happened to coincide with a typhoon in Okinawa. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful; despite the strong winds and heavy rain at the front entrance, they still managed to unload our luggage from the car and arranged for us to check in early. We were initially worried about parking safety at the pier, but the parking area inside the pier was actually very safe. Although it cost 2000 yen, which was a bit pricey, there was a semi-open walkway connecting to the hotel, so you wouldn't get wet in the rain unless it was a typhoon. The newly opened hotel was even more beautiful in person than in the renderings. While the weather wasn't as expected, we still enjoyed soaking in the clean and modern public bath, grabbing snacks at the Lawson shopping mall downstairs, taking a nap, and enjoying a delicious cocktail and a high-quality dinner at the hotel restaurant. We booked a bayside twin room with a fantastic view and extremely comfortable bedding. The spacious bedroom had a large sofa and a huge TV, but the bathroom and washbasin were a bit cramped. However, since we had access to the large public bath, it was all quite comfortable.
The hotel's location is convenient for those driving, with a fish market and supermarket nearby. The pier for outlying islands is right downstairs; many popular island snorkeling and diving destinations depart from this pier. The hotel also offers several summer water sports packages. For those driving or without a car, you can consider taking a boat from another pier to the north to avoid traffic jams.
In terms of location, it's convenient for those driving or travelers wanting to visit outlying islands. It's close to the city center but has a resort-like feel. It's over 15 minutes' walk to Kokusai Street, and the monorail isn't close either. If you want to shop on Kokusai Street, book a hotel on Kokusai Street. However, there seems to be a bus to the airport at the front entrance.
Overall, the accommodation was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and if the price is reasonable, I would definitely consider staying a few nights next time to plan a trip to the outlying islands.
Could check in really quickly without waiting in line so that was great. There were not that many washing machines, and it was difficult to use them because other guests would not come and collect their own laundry even after the machine had finished running. There was a sign saying that the neglected laundry would be collected after 10 minutes, but there weren't any staff keeping an eye on this anyway, so the warning sign wasn't helpful. Staff also seemed reluctant to provide more tea in the room even though they only have two tea bags every other day for a week-long stay. Even when asked, they would only initially offer one tea bag without asking if more were needed.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Nearby to airport which is around 15min by car. Walking distance to nearby restaurants. But they do charge 2000yen per day for car park.
The resort is family oriented and there are many scenic views to take photographs & video. Breakfast is excellent featuring Okinawa cuisines & wide range of breads & spread. Staff are courteous & efficient. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Okinawa is truly a fantastic travel destination, and this hotel's location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Kokusai Dori (International Street), and you can continue walking from there to Naminoue Shrine and the sunset beach. The highlight of this hotel is definitely the breakfast – it's incredibly rich and diverse! They have freshly grilled burgers, various Japanese dishes, and even a make-your-own noodle station which was delicious. My room on a lower floor didn't have a window, which felt a bit confining, but my room on the sixth floor had an open and spacious view. There's a large banyan tree with a historic feel right outside the entrance. You can also find some really good omurice and izakayas in the surrounding area.
The staff were really nice. Even though there was a language barrier with the lady downstairs, she was very patient and used a translation app to communicate with us. However, the app wasn't very accurate. When we went upstairs to check in, it turned out there was a ********* person at the front desk, which was great. Still, we had to wait quite a while to check in, even though there was no one else at the desk at the time. The room was pretty spacious, and everything else was fine. The location is also quite convenient, and the restaurant downstairs is good. After checking in, it was past 3 PM, so we went downstairs to eat. The server asked if we wanted the restaurant or cafe. When she gave us the menu, we realized we only had about five or six minutes before lunch orders closed, but they still took our order! The set meal and the beef rice bowl were both really delicious. Definitely worth trying if you're staying here.

Amazing
YYan ReevesWe had spent 4 nights at the hotel during the Golden Week which might have influenced the perception of service, but not dramatically.
Among the advantages of the hotel are: nice spacious rooms (ours had a stunning sea view); generally good location with beautiful nature and access to the beaches where you could actually swim (not a given on the island) - at least until the tide goes too low; reasonably good food across the restaurants with rather friendly prices; stylish bar with quality drinks.
Among the disadvantages are: very non-Japanese service (generally not very helpful, with low penetration of English among the staff) and lack of attention to detail that could make the resort actually very nice - again, not very typical case for Japan.
A few pieces of advice to the management:
1. Bring the option of in-room breakfast. If a guest is sick and can’t go down, it’s impossible to order in-room breakfast on the day, while rooms service opens at 11:30. Same frustration goes to the coffee stall downstairs that doesn’t serve coffee during earlier breakfast hours
2. Consider equipping rooms with coffee machines and contemporary electronics - low costs to take, yet massive disadvantage for the 5* status for not having them
3. Pay more attention to room service: we spent 48h without shampoo and shower gel. Our glasses were washed occasionally. New bottles of drinking water arrived only once.
4. Fix the beach! The amenities there look like a poor community beach area, especially those shameful umbrellas. You have reasonable amenities at the pool - why not spreading them to the beach areas to make them feel more like a resort rather than public beaches that no one gave any care?
5. Gym and SPA amenities could use a bit of refreshment. I won’t mention SPA service itself which might be a result of poor luck with the specific technician
6. Empty mini bar equals lost revenue. You could easily cover the modifications above through adding more options for people to enjoy drinks at their balconies.
What makes staying in Japan truly special - genuine care and attention to every detail - was completely missing over our stay at this Hyatt. In fact, we consistently had that feeling “this could actually be really nice” and then something would go terribly wrong with the awkward service. The hotel that looks like 5* on pictures leaves a 3* aftertaste at max. I am only writing this because I felt it didn’t have to - those are easy aspects to fix.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, which made the stay especially relaxing. The location was also very convenient, close to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. I truly appreciated the excellent service and attention to detail throughout my stay. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would be happy to stay here again in the future.

HHsinTangThe hotel's swimming pool has indoor and outdoor sections, as well as a waterslide for babies. The indoor pool has a bed against the wall, making it safe and comfortable for young children to sleep. Importantly, there are also educational and fun activities nearby. I highly recommend bringing children to participate in these activities. Parking is available, but sometimes a shuttle service is required to get the car. I really loved the lobby's décor. Also, being able to continue playing in the pool after check-out is fantastic.
GGuest UserThis is my second time in Okinawa, and out of all the places I've stayed, this one is the absolute best! The location is fantastic; I actually preferred it not being right in the center of American Village. It's literally a minute from Aeon Mall, a minute from American Village, and there's even a 24-hour gacha shop right next door. The sauna facilities are top-notch, and it's great that guests can use it as many times as they want. If I ever come back to Okinawa, I'm definitely staying here again! 💛 The only minor issue was that after 10 PM, the staff member who helps with parking had gone home. I waited in the car for 20 minutes before calling the lobby to have someone come out and assist me with parking. On the plus side, the two nights of free parking were a great bonus!
AAndy.AgConveniently located just a 5–10 minute walk from the main street. Breakfast buffet options were okay, and the food was okay. The staff speaks English, making check-in easy. Rooms are reasonably priced, making it a good choice for a short stay in Naha.
MMayi(Sia)This is a well-established hotel with a private beach, offering great value for money. Here are some detailed tips:
1. **Transportation**: You can take the Limousine Bus (CD line) directly from Naha Airport to the hotel entrance. The last bus departs at 6 PM. Look for the 'Airport - Domestic Terminal' direction, and purchase your ticket at Gate 2. Cash payment is required. The hotel front desk can book a return bus to the airport/Naha Bus Terminal, but only morning departures are available. The bus stop is located just a short walk to the left after exiting the hotel. The journey typically takes 1.5 hours.
2. **Dining**: I recommend booking a stay that includes breakfast; the buffet breakfast is excellent, and you can enjoy it with ocean views. For dinner, you can purchase the buffet on-site. Remember to use the 10% discount coupon provided by the hotel. Dining options nearby are limited; about 100 meters from the hotel, there's only one shabu-shabu restaurant, which also offers sukiyaki.
3. **Shopping**: The hotel has a souvenir shop and a convenience store, but prices are a bit high. About 100 meters from the hotel, across the road, there's a Family Mart convenience store with reasonable prices.
4. **Facilities**: All water sports activities on the beach incur extra charges, but the pricing is transparent. The outdoor and indoor pools are free, and the indoor pool is heated. There's a fee for the hot springs, which varies depending on the time of day, with mornings being cheaper and evenings most expensive. I suggest going in the afternoon; it opens after 4 PM, there are fewer people, and you can enjoy the beach view. It's located near the indoor pool on the first floor and can be a bit hard to find, so ask a staff member for directions. It costs 600 JPY per person in the afternoon. If you opt out of room cleaning, the hotel provides a 1000 JPY voucher that can be used at the hotel's hot springs, restaurants, or convenience store.
5. **Rooms**: The rooms are generally clean. Remember to request a high floor from the staff, especially if you've booked an ocean view room. Late check-ins might only get lower-floor rooms, but it's worth trying to get a higher floor; while all ocean view rooms offer a sea view, the perspective differs significantly.
6. **Surroundings**: You can take a taxi to Onna Station, which is like a service area with some snack stalls and a supermarket. The taxi ride takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately 100 RMB for a round trip.
GGuest UserHilton being hilton, is great. Sesoko is a great island, and without a doubt, hotel service is top notch, everything from arrival to departure is great, and staff always watch out for you and welcomes you very warmly.
Pool is good, facilities is nice. Rooms are also spacious. Love the balcony overseeing the hotel pool. Truly nothing to fault, everything felt like a 5 star experience everywhere you go.
Best part is the walk to Sesoko Beach, is truly the highlight, in terms of proximity and the beach quality. It is a tranquil stay and we always felt at peace through the trip there.
Only small nitpick is the Italian Restaurant's quality could be better, given the price that we were paying. Had 2 dishes, 1 of which was so so, the other was...not really edible, but we were not picky eaters so we just had it without complaints.
Overally 10/10 stay, will return again.
