The hotel has a good location, convenient for getting around, and there are restaurants nearby, but there is a parking fee if you drive. The rooms are clean and don't look old.

My kids loved the pool. It gets crowded during meal times, so it's best to plan ahead. It was convenient to be able to use the room card to shop within the hotel. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, so I think it was good.

It was very nice to have an open-air bath in the room ^_^ There was a sauna in the public bath, and I was impressed by the view from the outside air bath space ✨ The buffet was delicious and the best I want to go again ^_^

Unexpectedly delightful! The hotel room was beautiful, and every staff member we encountered, from check-in to check-out, was wonderful. The hotel offers many activities; we joined the stargazing and Lake Chuzenji walk, and the stargazing activity gave us an incredible view of the night sky!

We liked the hotel very much. It surely needs renovation in some areas, but you forget about this, because the hotel service is very good. The staff is very helful and welcoming, many free amenities are provided: yukata clothes for kids for all ages, socks for geta shoes, face sheet masks for ladies. Futons are very cosy, kaiseki dinner was worth it, but if your kids do not like Japanese style food, you need to think of it beforehand. Onsen area is very nice. It has pool also. I would recommend to stay in this hotel and enjoy Japanese experience.

The location is excellent, right on the Kinugawa River and close to the tram station, making transportation very convenient. The hotel is rather old, but the price is very cheap, so overall it offers great value for money. If you're looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay, I think it's a good choice. The hotel has a public bath and public showers, but they close at 9 PM. This was mentioned in the booking confirmation email, so if you want to use the baths, I suggest checking in early to avoid missing the opening hours. A few things to note beforehand: yukatas need to be rented separately for 300 yen, which isn't expensive; the hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes, which I didn't notice before checking in, but there's a Lawson convenience store nearby, so it's easy to buy one on the spot. Another unusual thing: the hotel elevator is not working in the morning, so you have to walk up the stairs to get out. There was also some clutter near the emergency exit, and the exit wasn't very obvious; I almost couldn't find my way out. If this could be improved, the overall experience would be better. In summary, it's a hotel with relatively old facilities, but its location and price are very advantageous. If you don't have high requirements for accommodation and value cost-effectiveness, this is still worth considering.

Generally a pleasant stay, the place is old but pretty well maintained. My main gripe is that the soundproofing on the windows isn’t great, you can hear the Friday night crowds and cars. That said they do provide ear plugs at the front desk, which helped a lot.

Environment: It's about a 10-minute walk from Kinugawa Station. There's a small hill where pushing luggage can be a bit difficult; you can contact the hotel for a shuttle service. Unlike most Kinugawa onsen ryokans, it's not located right on the river, which is a bit of a shame. Cleanliness: Excellent. Facilities: First, the large public baths have alternating men's and women's baths, each with its own unique features. There are sleeping baths, cream baths, and saunas. The overall design is very reasonable and simple. The rooms are large, easily accommodating at least four people, and include both Western-style beds and Japanese-style tatami mats. The rooms are large and quite new, without the usual musty smell of older hotels. The window view is just average, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Dining: We had two meals during our stay. Dinner and breakfast were both deluxe kaiseki cuisine, which was delicious and photogenic—five-star quality. It ranks among the top three kaiseki meals we've had at onsen. Service: Excellent. The Vietnamese lady who greeted us spoke Mandarin, and the restaurant manager, a lady from Guangdong, explained the dishes in great detail. Overall, the service was excellent.
