"The location of the hotel is perfect but a bit isolated and not close to other restaurants so we used our meals at the hotel. The service was great but we tried the nasi goreng with peanut sauce except there was no sauce (I don't think that they know what it is exactly) which made the dish quite dry. Our room had a large terrace and looked out on the pool and the sea which was great. The television is too far away from the bed. Great pool."

"Wonderful relaxing family holiday at J&R, Anda. Excellent location, hospitality and food! Set amidst lush, immaculately maintained tropical gardens, this “first row” seafront, elevated position has a beautiful breeze. Rooms are perfectly cleaned and well sized for a family stay. "I made the right choice staying here and kinda felt bad leaving. It's not a touristy area so you'll enjoy a lot of quiet moments and just hear the waves and the birds. Perfect for meditating or doing yoga too. The staff were sincerely friendly and would call guests by their names right away so you'll feel most welcome the day you arrive. Commending Joy at the resto too who was quite chatty too. The place was really intimate and I think they only have 8 rooms available to ensure that it will be a relaxing stay for everyone. I love how the swimming pool was like part of a forest too. White sand beach, no crowds at all and you can go skinny dipping if you wish :)"

"We stayed a few nights in the most basic cabin. It was a true wilderness survival experience. The cabins are located far from the road, practically in the jungle. The cabins are made of bamboo, and you get everything that comes with that. There's a pleasant common area. There's free water. The hostess and two dogs were lovely. Probably the worst thing here is the endless mice running through the walls and across the ceiling. This might shock some, so it's best to bring good earplugs."

"A small hotel with a narrow strip of beach. Locals flock to the area on weekends. The pool area is busy, making it noisy and bustling. The rooms smell of sewage. After the rain, the balcony was dirty. We asked to clean it, but they ignored us; we asked for a change of towels, but they forgot. Breakfast is a mini-buffet with a minimal selection. Neither the hotel nor its location left a positive impression."

"My wife and I stayed one night to rest and unwind and it is hard to express our satisfaction with our stay. The complex is clean and well maintained, quiet and secluded. Our room was clean and has everything you need to relax. Their restaurant menu has some of the most delicious foods you could hope for and cooked to perfection by their chef. Our host and the staff are friendly, attentive and committed to make your stay memorable. In addition to a private beach there is also a pool to swim or just lounge. A boat to go snorkeling, kayaks for touring the coast. You can also do tours to the chocolate hills, tarsier habitat, loboc river buffet and just too many things to do. Do not miss this slice of Bohol heaven."

"Room is spacious and clean. Smells really nice. Big clean pool, comfy sunbeds, beach towels. Breakfast is OK, looks the same in all phillipine hotels. Parking slot. 3 mins to the beach - small one, there are a lot of boats, some ****, but possible to swim. 5 mins to poop caves( nice to swim inside) , 20 mins walking to central beach. Only one thing made upset - animals at the hotel. Dogs and especially cats look so bad, you can see all bones under the skin. Never have seen animals in such bad conditions around any hotel. Now I am at Moalboal, around me 3 cats are playing, sleeping around - so relaxing."

The problem is that it is 2.5h away from Panglao airport, not walking distance to the main road. The room needed a renovation, and the toilet. Room service is not 24/7 and there is no laundry service. The staff were really nice."

"After extensive research, we could not have made a better place to stay, chill, swim and eat - all in an authentic, tranquil and welcoming environment. Pool awesome. Right on ocean (our room had sea views). Restaurant is best in an area - to the point we never even considered eating somewhere else. If you want a peaceful stay away from the busting resorts, this is your place. I’d say high end of 3 stars - but not once felt the need to want more or change a thing. A 45 min walk from town, but that’s a plus. Cause you don’t really need to leave. Rooms are clean, modern with great A/C and decent WIFI. We loved it!"
