Our guesthouse, No. 5, was situated in the heart of the island. The view from the window was expansive, and the room, courtyard, and kitchen were clean and tidy. The owners were a kind and simple family. The price was just over 100 yuan per person, including meals and lodging. The dishes were mainly local specialties, made with fresh ingredients, and were delicious and visually appealing. We barely ate breakfast the next day and rushed back to the county town as a precaution. The landlady even questioned why other people were fine? Ugh!! 3) Finding a ferry yourself costs 15 to 20 yuan, but if the owner finds one, the price jumps to 30 yuan. Is this such a poor business practice designed to scare away countless travelers?
