normally a great hotel but the front desk person greeting people who stay here should have exceptional customer service skills. it makes or breaks the experience. hire people that are nice!!!!!!!!!!!! also microwave and refrigerator would be nice. and asking to get a blow dryer turned into an hour waiting for it because I was told I couldn't go get it from the front

Great place to stay if going to the eye doctor very close to them and railys in walking distance has very good breakfast in the am

We have stayed at this location multiple times. Our most recent was 5/15/22. The hotel needs an upgrade but I was told by the front desk staff the hotel is being sold to the county or the state. This location is a hit or miss in the rooms. The towels, pot & pans, cups, forks, plates, ect are not always consistence. Some room are dirty, stinky, and have broken fixtures. They is no gym since the Covid Pandemic and the pool has been closed for a while. This location does not offer upgrades to Marriott Bonvoy members, which is a shame. Tina is the only positive. Hour last stay was 5/15/22

The location is also the best. The service was very good. I think the room is nice. I was tired and came home, and I was able to relax with coffee.

Kudos Holiday Inn Express Sacramento, specifically the staff. These people are absolutely amazing. All staff has been very accommodating professional friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are nice and clean. Very spacious. Property is safe and secure with what I've seen.

I have conflicting thoughts on this hotel. The first time I stayed, they were very accommodating to my preferences and even gave me my upgrade as a diamond member. The second time I stayed, when asking for the upgrade per my member benefits I was informed they had nothing available. When I arrived my room heater was no working so I was switched to a different room by the overnight attendant ( who was amazing ) to accommodate the heat issue… I noticed the Parking lot was empty and happened to ask the night attendant just out of curiosity, “ does your hotel have any suites available for tonight in case one of my family members need it ?” She informed me that they in fact had suites available and to let her know if they would want to book. I told her thank you, and she was unaware the real reason I asked that question. However, I had to spend half of my night working on paperwork and any time I needed to do anything in their business area, she would be very accommodating and helpful. She even made fresh hot coffee!!! She was absolutely amazing !! The Following morning, I messaged the front desk who was also the same attendant I asked about the upgrade and was denied, I asked for a late check out… also a perk of diamond hilton member (or suppose to be). I was again denied and said they could not accommodate that request. As far as the cleanliness of the rooms they were 10/10 … they are in process of remodeling so its understandable and to be expected that there are some things taped off or being painted … the breakfast 10/10. The location is next to interstate but the rooms are 8/10 soundproof … The rooms are smaller but maybe that’s because it wasn’t a suite… ? If it wasn’t for the over night attendant being as helpful and amazing as she was, my rating would drop significantly…

Worst hotel I have encountered in 40 years. Overflowing trash and broken glass littering an overcrowded parking lot, people living in cars. One security vehicle with no indication that anyone is monitoring the parking lot with large numbers of people loitering, smoking *********, people shouting at each other, holes in furniture and sheets, drapes shredded. Inadequate AC, inconsistent and insufficient hot water for showers, every ice machine in the hotel malfunctioned leaving no ice available anywhere in the hotel, no lobby restroom available for guests after check out, cash required for all purchased items, ATM charges $2.75 per withdrawal, elevators intermittently stopped working without notice, warning or signage; No manager on duty over the Labor Day Weekend. Every guest with a complaint told to wait for mgr to return.

I wish I could rate Zero, or negative five. This place is absolutely DISGUSTING!! Racist, rude, lying, scamming, and definitely NOT following any sort of cleaning procedure at all. When I checked in there was still lipstick and jizz all over the sheets from the last people using the room. The hotel staff totally knew about it because the bed WAS MADE!!! But the sheets hadn’t been changed. The tub leaked, the light fixture looked like it was five seconds from falling off the wall, there were dirty dishes in the drawers, the floors left the bottoms of my feet black after walking on them, and when I asked for more towels, every single one had black smudges and fingerprints all over them, “clean” sheets were the same case. We saw them spraying everything with Clorox bleach spray in the laundry room so I doubt they wash anything properly. There were bedbugs and a huge bloodstain in the middle of the mattress, I SLEPT IN MY CAR EVERY NIGHT!! I checked out one night early because I couldn’t bear to go back another day. I took the front desk up to the room to see what I meant by how deplorable it was— they agreed and originally returned me my $100 deposit. Then five days later after I complained to corporate and wrote several scathing reviews they changed my file to say that I destroyed the room (even tho prior to my complains I had never been told this) and then charged me that $100 deposit. When I called back to ask why, they told me that magically five days after I left they noticed I destroyed the room so they had to charge me, and if I didn’t understand maybe they should tell me in Spanish (because I have an Hispanic last name). This place’s unprofessional front desk staff has yelled at me, hung up on me, and lied to me, and they’ll do the same to you unless you show up with an hourly need and a drug dependency. DO NOT STAY HERE. Sleep in your car, you’ll be happier than I was because you didn’t have to pay almost $500 for it.
