Upon checking in I found there were no double rooms left on the first floor and no elevator, my senior mother was stuck attempting the stairs for the duration of the trip....the front desk person's version of assisting was ”getting us a room close to the stairs so we could park by the stairs”. He proceeded to act as if I was going to leave because there wasn't a room. I could've gone nextdoor but I would have been out $120/night plus the $70 I had already paid. Very disappointed, when I booked I didn't have the option for an ADA double room. We were also not informed of checkout time nor breakfast options...it says they offer breakfast but there is no space for it as the whole reception area is just a big empty room. The beds are ok but very worn, sheets were stained with what appeared to be ink stains. Nothing was plugged in when we arrived in the room and there was no alarm clock or clock radio. Also there was an ironing board with no cover and no iron. The room was VERY dirty, made the mistake of walking barefoot in the room right after we arrived and my feet were black. Went to wash off only to discover there were no washcloths nor was there are bath mat. We had a regular towel and a hand towel. We had issues with the fridge as the only outlet available was the one that was controlled by the switch near the door. The outlet was wired with the constant on top and the switch controlled on the bottom....guess what if the fridge was plugged into the top nothing could be plugged in below. While trying to sort this out I made the HUGE mistake of moving the fridge, what I found was absolutely revolting, mixed in the grime, dirt, and lord knows what else was two plastic tampon applicators not in a wrapper. I can not say if they were used or not as that was something I was NOT getting near. The entire time in this room I felt disgusting and unclean. Even the shower was gross. The standard yellow orange La Quinta shower curtain was black across the bottom from the mold. For a hotel that has been ”renovated” and I use that term loosely this was terrible. I feel that this hotel is in a perpetual renovation and like other travelers have to access the owner....is it time to cut your losses?

Got there at check in time had around 10 other folks waiting with us to check in. Waited 5 min before an associate came out and asked if we knew what happened we said no so she said oh well that sucks and chuckled and started counting down a register and then handed out checks to employees who where walking out and cussing in front of us. After waiting 45 min I finally got to check in only to find boogers and hairs in the Bible boogers on the wall and a huge ball of hair in the bathroom sink. We where assured the rooms where clean and that's why the check in took so long. On top of that this app nor the hotel tells you that you are going to be charged extra up front at check in which supposedly gets refunded to you 7 to 10 days later which at check in after finding out about the extra charges I was assured I would have it back at check out which was a complete lie. Will not be going back to this hotel or any other comfort suites after how this all happened. A vacation is supposed to be a relaxing time and your hotel is your home away from home. You expect it to be clean and expect to have atleast half way decent customer service. The only person in that hotel that was not unprofessional was the manager Brian but the way everything was handled shows me this company does not care about its customers. Oh also be aware the elevator is extremely slow which the staff finds hilarious watching its patrons waiting while they snicker in the background. The ice machine also did not work both nights I was there. The only positive about the breakfast was that the waffle station made okay waffles everything else was disgusting. I have never had an experience this bad that I've had to leave a review on. I hope whoever is looking at this hotel as a place to stay reads my review and looks elsewhere. It's just not worth it. Also once arriving to my room and finding things like the boogers and the extra charge upfront I attempted to reach the front desk from both room phone neither of which worked. I then used my cell phone to call the hotel to inform them on everything and ask why I was charged extra. I waited 5 min on hold before I walked to the elevator. After waiting 5 min for the elevator to reach the 2nd floor I finally was able to get to the front desk mind you I'm still on hold on the phone. The manager was speaking with a guest to the side and the clerk was standing there with one customer so I hung up and waited another 5 min before I could speak with someone by this point I had lost my temper and forgotten to mention certain issues that I am bringing up right this moment. I would have canceled my room and found a different hotel but because of the new federal holiday there where no rooms left in town and we did not have the extra funds to find a new hotel. All our eggs where in 1 basket and the basket was apparently made from wet cardboard because it failed terribly. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Bally's Shreveport Casino & Hotel

Our last experience should have been our final but, we decided to give our former beloved Eldorado ****** a second chance. When reservations were made it was implied there had been some good changes to the property. It was not true. Updates and upkeep is apparently not on the agenda. The rooms remain outdated. They were just dirty and I am talking “deep dirty” that has been ignored far too long. Here are just a few examples of my hotel room experience. I spilled a glass of water and grabbed a towel to blot it up and in a matter of seconds the towel had large brown stains on it. The brown stains are left up to the imagination of what it came from. The last night of our stay my door would not open. I found housekeeping staff member to try their master key and was told the door was broken. After two phone calls to the front desk, I was put in another room and was told I was being upgraded to a suite. I could've cared less if I had an upgraded room or not. I only needed a room to sleep a few hours and the common decency of the staff in expressing their regrets that the BLASTED door couldn't be fixed. It was of no surprise the suite had not been updated and dust was prominent everywhere. We are living in epidemic times and most hotel properties have protocols in place and abide by them to ensure their guest safety. The restaurant food was not horrible. The main problem we would select an option only to learn they didn’t have it. In addition we were told they had not had selection for some time. During our stay, the steakhouse was not open. The gift shop has limited hours. The spa has limited hours and limited massage therapists. The staff at the spa were efficient and welcoming. I generally play slots vs table games. There were only a limited number of slots than what they have had in the past. Most of the slot machines were old and several machines had signs on them as inoperable. If you are a smoker there is no smoking inside the property per city ordinance. They are in process of building a “Patio” that was advertised on the flyer we received in the mail but, it has not been completed. The whole environment of this property is OFF. To say some of the staff were not customer service oriented would seem to be an exaggeration, I assure you it is not. With the name change one might think the property has been revamped. It is not. If management doesn’t get it up to the standards that most guests/players have come to expect, the outlook for this property is grim.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS CAN EITHER MAKE OR BREAK ANY BUSINESS!!!! Keep reading…….. We were attending a Cornhole tournament and the selection of Sam’s Town Hotel and ****** was A WIN!!!! From the amazing customer service by Natalie at the Front Desk, who deserves recognition by Hotel Management for representing the Hotel with outstanding customer service and going beyond her duties!! Both at our check in and check out, Natalie was FIVE STAR!!!! Also, Traig, who we were lucky to have as our AWESOME Bellman, SO POLITE AND PERSONABLE!!!! We also lucked out by having his assistance as we checked in and when we checked out! He also should be recognized for his excellent attitude and being a GREAT REPRESENTATIVE of Sam’s Town Hotel! Our room was absolutely beautiful and so clean and well stocked, I highly recommend this Hotel!! My only negative experience was when I was getting my “Rewards Card”, the young man’s comment about being reimbursed for the first $300 in loss with promotions in the mail in approximately 7-10 days, just started my gambling with a NEGATIVE thought process. I think something better to welcome first time players needs to be implemented; don’t start a gamblers evening with such a negative comment!! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but may not return due to the bad feeling about gambling there! But, the Hotel was a great experience and we were very pleased!!! But, gambling, I did not get off to a great start, but I was shocked at the comment and hope this explanation gets changed to not start your guests off with Negative Vibes.

Great room but it was overbooked. So they canceled our reservation and we ended up paying a higher rate. I would give the hotel a five out of four I will give your service a one out of five. Your rates very deceptive because the hotel was overbooked by your company so hotel cancelled your reservation and we got charged a much higher rate. The only room available was not appropriate for our party. It was embarrassing! I would hope that Trip.Com would make it right with this customer.

Upon arrival when we went to room. Toilet was not clean. We did complain the next day and it was taken care of. Also daily cleaning as well as towels were not done. I was advised that we needed to notify them and I feel like for over 200.00 a night this should be a given Even though we did notify them the next day it was also not done. Stains on chairs and doesn't look like it is maintained. Bathrooms should have bars to hold onto while showering and shower surface did not have antifall on the bottom. Very dangerous for seniors. Power went out on our last night due to storms. No generators !! I understand that losing power is not their fault but I cant understand why they don't have generators. This is not what I expected from a Hilton !
