"The hotel has a nice environment, convenient dining and shopping nearby, easy parking, and a fully equipped kitchen (although we didn't use it). The rooms are spacious, and check-in and check-out are very convenient. I suggest replacing the curtains in rooms near the balcony with fabric curtains; the existing curtains don't block out enough light, and the room is filled with sunlight as early as 5 AM, affecting rest. Also, please increase the amount of toilet paper; one roll is a bit insufficient for several people staying for three days."

Talisman Apartments

"Received an email on the day of arrival requesting payment details for holding deposit and to enable provision of the keys. This was really frustrating and delayed access. Given the amount of emails I recieved in the lead up trying to get me to pay for an extra room (which there were just the two of us staying anyway) was really frustrating and difficult to find the information we needed to be able to check in since there was no OPEN check in desk. Now that we have stayed at this location - I was REALLY disappointed to receive a notice of them taking more payments out as THEY had left the rooms open and then charged us because we used the second bathroom. The amount of dust, food scraps and debris under the lounge chairs was awful. The bed linen was more polyester and so very hot to try and sleep under. The bathroom had long black hairs on the floor (I have short hair and my husband has short black hair!!). The lounge chair recliner - one did not function properly and they were certainly NOT comfortable to sit in for any period of time. We did like the location, the closeness of the beach and access to the shops. I did not appreciate the extra charge to our account of $90. I feel that it was a poor reflection of their inability to prepare for our arrival - in leaving the whole apartment open and then expecting us to know not to use a room - if the room was not to be used - it should have been closed and locked or communicated clearly."

"he location of the apartment was excellent. The stairs weren’t a problem for our family. Beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of space in the 3 bed apartment for our family of 5. Kirsty did note a small welcome pack of amenities was provided on arrival, but all apartments I have visited through air BnB have included shower gel and shampoo, but this wasn’t included. I was also dismayed about having to pay $5 to hire a tiny $7 Kmart towel. Again, all apartments with a pool provide pool towels, OR at the very least should be noted on the booking that pool towels are not provided. A fact to note is that some of the apartments are privately owned and our next door neighbour had gone away, leaving dog poo on their balcony, so the smell of it in the heat was a bit bad, when on the back, top deck. Overall, good location, tidy, but ready for a good tidy up / deep clean."
