Steigenberger properties in Cairo

The hotel is conveniently located next to Liberation Square, just a 2-3 minute walk away. The breakfast was good, with a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, and the red chili peppers 🌶️ were wonderfully spicy. The room was just right for two people and two large suitcases. You can see the swimming pool from outside the room. About 100 meters from the hotel, there's a wide main road. Cross the road, and you'll find the Old Egyptian Museum. Walking in the opposite direction leads you to Liberation Square, where there's an obelisk. I believe there's a metro station nearby, but taxis are so cheap in Cairo that we didn't bother looking for it.

The rooms were not over clean and very dated. Many things in the room were broken and repaired and poorly repaired. For the price of the hotel the standards was very low and very old. I did expect a cleaner more up to date hotel especially looking at the pictures and ratings . Staff were generally helpful but cleaning not done on time or very well but it’s hard to clean when the tiles are dirty and things are broken  . Over all not good value for money but great location right next to GEM
