"This older Hilton hotel is, on the whole, pretty standard—nothing particularly amazing, but no major downsides either. The exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior is maintained quite cleanly and tidily. The room size is moderate, the bed is comfortable, and all the basic amenities are available, including air conditioning, hot water, and free Wi-Fi. The staff are polite, attentive, and quite proactive in their service. Breakfast is decent, with average taste and no standout features. The hotel's location is fairly convenient, with good transport links nearby, and you can walk to some restaurants and convenience stores. Overall, for a short business trip or a stopover, this hotel can meet basic needs, but it's not suitable for guests looking for a high-quality or unique experience. Its biggest advantages are the nice view, quiet atmosphere, and reasonable value for money, making it a good fit for travelers with modest accommodation requirements."

"Facilities: Excellent, there's even a Starbucks on the first floor. They also showed the World Cup in the lobby at night, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that the mini-fridge was a bit old and could use an upgrade. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: Located during the World Cup, it's very close to Liberation Square and the Egyptian Museum of Archaeology, about a 30-minute walk. Service: Very good."

"The grounds and views are simply breathtaking – truly no alternatives. This is essentially why people come here and pay the price. HOWEVER! After staying at a good hotel in Cairo, Mena House feels like a budget trip to a summer cottage. This applies to everything: the interior, the furniture, the toiletries. The restaurant is expensive and not particularly tasty. They treat you like a tourist, meaning they don't really notice you or make an effort. You could just come here in the evening to take photos and dine at the restaurant. Probably, if I had known it was this simple, I would have done just that. They even bring tourists here by bus; we saw them. On the positive side, there's also a golf cart and a separate entrance to the pyramids. Tickets are paid, but the golf cart ride there and back is free. We had an unpleasant situation at the restaurant, which I reported to the manager when we were checking out. All the managers spoke with us and tried to resolve the situation. To leave a good impression and smooth things over, they gave me 5000 Marriott loyalty program points. But they won't be useful to me back home. I tried to book a same-day spa appointment but couldn't. For my birthday, they left a small cake in the room, and that was it. A room upgrade was offered for $500 for two days, not as a complimentary birthday gesture. The soundproofing is so bad it's like your neighbors are entering your room at night and lying down next to you in bed. The air conditioning wasn't working. This hotel is purely a tourist gimmick."

"Although the hotel is far from the city center, it is close to the Great Pyramids of Giza, also known as the GEM. The breakfast is delicious, and when we got tired of Egyptian food we stopped off at the restaurant towards the end of the day. The pizza and french fries were amazing. The breakfast area has a great view, and it really makes you feel like you're on vacation. It's a bit disappointing that it's easy to hear noise from the next room, but I'm glad I chose this hotel over a hotel in the city."

"Got an upgraded room with a river view, it was a side view but still very pretty. The included dinner was mediocre, not many dishes, but the BBQ was decent. Drinks were not included. Breakfast was at the same restaurant, with more variety and quite tasty. I recommend the traditional fried dishes. The restaurant drinks were a bit pricey compared to the hotel's caliber."

"The hotel's interior environment is great, and the breakfast is delicious, I recommend the croissant series! The room itself is pretty good, with a bathtub for relaxing soaks, but you'll need to bring your own bath salts. The hotel doesn't provide disposable items like toothbrushes, but they do offer cotton pads and cotton swabs. The terrace overlooks the Nile River, which is lively at night, and you can even see trains passing in the distance. Although I really like Sofitel, I won't be staying at this particular one again."

"1) Came for check in at 5 pm but still room was not ready. The reason given was I did not mention smoking or non-smoking room. 2) The bathroom floor was extremely old style and very dirty. 3) The bath tub had foldable glass doors which never closed completely and water fell on the floor everytime had a bath. 4) Therebwere totally 4 table/bedside lamps. 1 was blinking and the other 2 bedside lamps had a switch which only the hotel employees could switch on and off 5) Carpet was very dirty at some places. 6) It appeared they purposely allotted this room as I had argued about the room not being ready even at 5.00 pm 7) No toothbrush or comb or paste in the bathroom. 8) Priced so expensive but quality was not worth the price."

"Right by the Nile, with great views of the river from the room. It feels very secure, with two checkpoints to enter and exit, and you even need to swipe your card after getting off the elevator to go to your room. Breakfast was good, a typical 'Western' breakfast, which makes sense as most guests are European. The staff are also very friendly. The room was clean, not huge, but very well-appointed."
