"You can't trust ratings when choosing a hotel. This hotel has a relatively high rating in this area. I checked in at 11pm, but the front desk took 10 minutes to figure out how to give me the key. It's rare to find a hotel near a highway in the US that charges a deposit, but this hotel charges a 100 deposit. When I entered the bathroom, the shower curtain was drooping over half of the bathtub."

Royal Inn Linden ★★

"Had funeral in Hughes springs, so stayed at the Royal Inn in Linden. 60 dollar motel, so I did not expect much. Arrived and the staff were friendly, rooms were clean and did not have the old motel or smoke smell in it. Bed was comfy, but could use a little heavier blanket. TV was direct tv so plenty to watch. Some reviews complained about location, coffee maker ect, but you are not getting Dom for a MD 2020 pricing."
