Hotels in The Mixc/Niushikou, Chengdu

We booked the room last minute due to an issue with our previous accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful and let us store our luggage before we were able to check in. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. The first day of check in, we were able to use the hot spring for free. The location is very convenient with just a short walk to the closest metro station. The hotel bar/restaurant was interesting and lively, with live music/performances the two nights we had food/drink there. The staff communicated via WeChat to check whether we needed the room cleaned or if we needed anything else. The hotel has free self laundry facilities, with 3 washing machines and 3 dryers. Laundry detergent is provided. They also have delivery robots, which bring your orders to your room. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We stayed here a couple times because of the location of the hotel. It is convenient to get around the city by metro and the hotel is just a 5 minute walk. There are many delicious local foods and services such as hair and beauty salons for self care :) We appreciate the host for the fast response by sending us an air purifier when we commented about the cigarette smell in the room. The customer service is good and responsive.

Pros: Very comfortable stay. I loved having a sofa to lounge on, a table to eat at while charging my devices, and a conveniently located luggage rack. The rain shower had excellent water pressure. They even provided a Dyson hairdryer and an iron, which was a nice touch. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were beautiful. The air conditioning was perfectly set and didn't need any adjustments – it's great how new everything felt. Cons: Having to switch elevators to get to the room was a minor inconvenience, but the hotel entrance and the building are separate, unlike some high-rise hotels where you might run into tourists, so I guess it's acceptable. The delivery robot was incredibly slow; it took longer than if the delivery driver had come directly to the hotel. Also, despite being on a high floor, there wasn't much of a view yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the city develop in the future.

This hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation and a pleasant surrounding environment. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with comfortable beds. The hotel service is attentive, and the front desk staff are warm, friendly, and professional. They even upgraded my room for free! Overall, it's a hotel with great value for money, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling for business or leisure.

🧻Hygiene: The public areas and rooms were generally good and quite clean. 🛁Facilities: I didn't experience much of the public areas, but the room facilities were complete. 🧊Environment: The hotel is located above MixC Mall. The corner room offered views of the inside of MixC Mall and the 339 TV Tower, though the other direction didn't have much of a view. The room was relatively quiet with good soundproofing (possibly because I arrived late and left early), and there were no strange odors in the room. 👤Service: When I arrived in the evening, a doorman helped me take my luggage to the elevator. For room service/food delivery in public areas, there were no robots; manual delivery was a bit slow. Serena Zhang and Tina, who checked me in, were very friendly and provided enthusiastic service even at a late hour, thoroughly introducing the hotel and the room – highly commendable. 🍽️Dining: The minibar in the room was standard. I had to rush for my train in the morning, so I quickly ate breakfast. There were many varieties, and I didn't try everything, but the overall quality felt high. You could order items like *chaoshou* (wontons) at the stalls, which I didn't try, but the egg tarts and roasted vegetables were good. The breakfast restaurant environment was pleasant; I'll sample it more thoroughly next time. 💬Summary: Before coming to Chengdu, this was the only hotel that caught my interest after looking around. Its opening time, location, and surrounding amenities largely met my needs. Even though it was just for one night, I still wanted to experience it. I heard that odd-numbered floors have a more business-like style, while even-numbered floors have distinctive decor; I was given an even-numbered floor when checking in. I called ahead to request a higher room, and the hotel specifically mentioned that the room type I booked wasn't directly facing MixC Mall (a corner room), which was nice. Later, I stayed at another Hyatt-operated hotel near Taikoo Li, but I felt it wasn't as good as this Kapok Hotel. I will definitely come back next time.

The hotel was easy to find, not in an out-of-the-way location. The room was quite clean, I didn't find any dirty spots, and the disposable toiletries and hairdryer were all well-stocked. The hot water in the bathroom was also just right. The only minor downside was that the soundproofing of the room door wasn't great, but luckily there wasn't much noise in the corridor at night. However, it could be a bit noisy if you're trying to sleep in the afternoon.

This hotel definitely deserves a great review! The service attitude was incredibly warm and welcoming ❤️. They offered water upon entry, and upgrading to a larger room was free with an Atour membership. The room was clean and tidy, with excellent hygiene, and the bedding was super comfortable. The location is also unbeatable. They even gave us a small gift when we checked out, and the breakfast staff were so attentive. They also offer late-night congee, which was a lifesaver since we can't handle overly spicy food in Chengdu – it was such a thoughtful touch! My child absolutely loved the congee in the evening.

I was very pleasantly surprised. It was very close to the place of work. When I booked, I saw a new store. I thought about how to try it. The overall experience was very good. First of all, the transportation was convenient. There were Line 4 and Line 6 nearby. I slept lightly and lived in a room by the road. Close the window is no noise at all, and I sleep until dawn. The hotel service response was very timely. The takeaway ordered was not installed with a large package of robots. The employees personally sent it up. In short, they will choose this starway again in the future.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Chengdu and can highly recommend it to everyone visiting the city. We stayed in a duplex room, which was incredibly spacious, very comfortable, and extremely clean. The room was cleaned every single day, and everything was always perfectly maintained. The location of the hotel was honestly one of the best parts. Everything was nearby and easy to reach. There were many restaurants, convenience stores like 7-Eleven, and plenty of places around the hotel, which made our stay very convenient and enjoyable. The entire hotel staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. We especially want to mention the security guard at the entrance, who was always very friendly and made us feel safe and well taken care of every time we entered or left the hotel. We have stayed in several hotels in Chengdu before, but this one was by far our favorite in terms of location. Everything about this hotel was good and cozy. A big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable. We truly appreciated everyone’s kindness and hospitality. We would definitely book this hotel again anytime and can only recommend it!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was spotlessly clean and bright, with soft and comfortable bedding, and the soundproofing was excellent. Check-in at the front desk was fast, and the service was patient and attentive. The facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained, offering great value for money. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.
