"I honestly don’t understand where all these positive reviews are coming from. 😂 This hotel was a huge disappointment and honestly shocked me. For a five-star hotel, the cleanliness and overall condition were far below what I expected. The hotel felt dirty, poorly maintained, and nowhere near a five-star standard. In my opinion, it would struggle to meet even a three-star standard. The Kids Club is also NOT free — guests have to pay extra to use it, which was very disappointing for a family hotel. Another important point: the hotel does NOT have its own private beach as you might expect from the booking information. The beach is shared with the nearby Westin hotel, and you need to take a shuttle/bus from the hotel to get there. So there is no beach directly downstairs or within an easy walk from the hotel. The room was another major disappointment. It was dark and very humid, and the bedsheets looked old and yellowish. I found the overall condition of the room quite unpleasant and uncomfortable. To make things worse, we even saw cockroaches around the entrance when returning to the hotel. I have photos to show this. Overall, this was definitely not the five-star experience I expected. I would NOT recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean, well-maintained and comfortable resort in Desaru. As for Desaru itself, personally, I feel once is enough."

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort. The room was spacious, the beach was clean, and the facilities were enjoyable. The staff provided good service throughout our stay. The only thing that could be improved is that some parts of the resort look a little dated, but everything was clean and well maintained. Still a great place for a relaxing getaway."

"Bellman welcome us and advise where to park our car.   Room has a perfect view.    Lift have a bad odour.   Breakfast has alot of flies everywhere but many varieties.   Overall resort with a beach view is a plus"

"We stayed here for a few nights for our honeymoon. The check-in took some time. Receptionist was helpful enough.. The room was clean and great! Breakfast was great, a lot of choices! The gym was well equipped. Walkiing distance to beachfront, not private beach area. They provide only 1 basement parking per room."
