"Worst experience ever when it comes to their breakfast set up!! I’m always opting to stay here when I travel with family or big friend groups. I went there on the weekend of the 28th of February 2026 and with friends and family. Just 6 of us, breakfast a Guy Named Teboho told us to split because they won’t be able to accommodate six people together! Hello why would we want to eat separately on a getaway! We complained he came with the manager to apologise and we got the table. This weekend we went again this time 8 of us same Teboho says the same thing! And his colleague manages to get us a table. Mind you I had told my husband to not go there and we agreed on giving them one last chance. Suggestion - management have a word with Teboho because he is so rude and dismissive !"

"It's my first time to Durban on a business trip. The hotel is by the sea and you can see the sea from the balcony. The hotel doesn't have a gym, but you can run, ride a bike, walk your dog on the seaside road at the door. There are also many policemen, so it's relatively safe."

"Pros: Nice room, beautiful ocean views from the window, good location, breakfast (they even serve ice cream), and the staff is helpful (for example, with wine purchases). Breakfast is on the terrace with a view, so you can sit there during the day. Cons: 0.3L bottles of water. The shower faces the wall, making washing a real challenge. The bathtub faucet is practically glued to the wall and very low. There's some street and hallway noise. Overall, good."

"Checked in about 7pm and went down to go and get dinner , well I can’t even complain about the service as there was none , after waiting a while I just stood up went to my car and went to pick up my own food . You really need to jack up your service City lodge. Thank goodness it was only for one night"

"This property on my third night which I paid for, I didn’t have electricity till the next day I had to check out , there was no back up for electricity, I wasted my money honestly am hurt. I didn’t even bath on my check out day because of no back up and on top of everything I was not communicated with that’s there’s even a problem I had to be the one arguing with people in reception. The manager can’t even deal with the tenants she ran away instead on communication. "
