Heritage Queenstown

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were a family group so we required three rooms. Everything was beautiful, comfortable and cosy. However the highlights were the evening meal(s) we had at the restaurant. We stayed three nights and had such a wonderful time the first night we dined at the hotel that we ended up eating there every night. The menu was comprehensive, our group ordered widely and we all enjoyed each dish. I particularly loved the pumpkin soup, but the steak and pork dishes as well as the hamburgers , were equally popular. Attention was paid to detail, and this was especially the case with the deserts and their superb presentation. The staff were cheerful and generous and made us feel like welcome guests.

Fern Hill
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in Queenstown. Short drive from town. Has breathtaking views from every point of the hotel whether it be upon arrival, from the room going for a stroll around but the best would be the view with breakfast!! Staff were always very helpful with any request and would always greet with a smile. Kevin in particular was great! Rooms were always clean and have the latest tech and amenities. The hotel has its own private outdoor hot tubs with a view! Would definitely go back and recommend to any family or friends. Thank you

Lake view rooms are perfect. The hotel is ok and as a Mercure, pricing is reflective in the higher end. It’s about a 20 minute walk into town which is downhill. To many sherbets and coming back I would recommend a lift. The local bus is halfway down the hill also. Bar staff and restaurant staff are smiling and helpful. Front desk need to take some learnings from them. Dinner 1 night was a nice meal accompanied by a nice wine and very pleasant service. Breakfast….save your money and head into town. You are paying for the view. Pay as you go as you don’t want a surprise when you check out.
Platinum Queenstown Luxury Villas

This accommodation is on the high end as far as price goes, but I believe it's the best in its price range. Once we arrived in Queenstown we took note of where the other high end hotels were situated, and none of them would have a view as good as Platinum. For our money, we had a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment, set over two levels, with a small balcony upstairs and french doors/private veranda downstairs. The view from upstairs and downstairs was stunning, with the lake and mountains in full view. With quality amenities and furnishings, quiet surroundings and spacious rooms, this luxury accommodation was worth every cent. Away from the centre of town, you can drive or if fit enough, tackle the walk into town (uphill coming home) which would probably take about 20 to 30 minutes.
