Porto Kalamaki Hotel ★★

📍 Regional Road Kissamou Chanion, Galatas

"Just returned from a weeks stay at The Porto Kalamaki Hotel. I chose this Hotel on the reviews from past holidaymakers! First time to Crete for myself and my Sister! What can I say that hasn’t been written? Fab, views, comfy bed, and what makes it are Andreas, Maria and all the staff at the restaurant, bar, shop. So friendly, hard working nothing too much trouble to make your stay great! The Food was so good! Such good value! Twenty mins by bus to Chania or ten mins to Aghia Marina the other way! We did a couple of trips on the little train visiting villages around and the Hotel can book them for you! Hope to return again next year!😊"

Kalamaki Luxury Suites Hotels in Galatas

Kalamaki Luxury Suites

"The apartment was stunning along with the view. We stayed in the Luxury Suite with panoramic view and hot tub. The hotel only has 6 rooms and is family run. The hotel has an adjoining family run beach restaurant. We ate there most mornings for breakfast and lunch - very nice indeed. The cocktails were delicious too - Strawberry Daquiris and Pina Colada - yummy. The beach was lovely and the sea was gorgeous, free sunbeds if you are staying in the hotel. Chania is a must, its beautiful and lively. Lovely shops, harbour and wonderful food. Bus stop outside hotel. 1.60 euro from Kiosk for the bus and takes 15 - 20 mins. Lots of beach bars if you fancy a walk (in both directions). About an hour walk to Platanias along the beach. But most of all a big thank you to all the staff. Vanessa who greeted us and provided us with information around the island, Alexandra (mum) who is a lovely lady. She bought cakes and took them round to everyone in the restaurant - personal touches mean a lot. The owners and all the restaurant staff welcomed us every day with a smile, they were so polite and genuine lovely people. But a big big thank you to Vaselos (we called him vaseline 😂) who looked after us with drinks, food and reserved 2 sunbeds for us every day. Also he had the best smile. Stephanos and Brother (sorry not sure on name and the spelling) you should be so proud of your staff, they are truly lovely hardworking people. The area is peaceful but still has lots of restaurants and places to visit or just stay on the lovely sandy beach. Thank you - we will be back."

Akasti Hotel Hotels in Galatas

Akasti Hotel

"Just had a lovely week in Kallamaki staying at the Akasti Hotel. I'll start with the good points. Tassos, the owner, was friendly and welcoming. Lovely quiet clean pool area. As for the actual apartment, it wasn't as advertised on Airbnb. The only good points were comfy beds and good hairdryer. The biggest disappointment was the shower, as you can see in attached photos there is a cubicle on Airbnb but what we got was a hand held shower that was awkward to use because it was at knee height. The kitchen area was not usable, plenty of pots to cook in but no utensils to cook with. No plugs near enough to plug in the kettle, we had to use the plug next to the bed. We only got clean sheets and towels twice during our 7 day stay. There was no iron in the room, as advertised. And it says breakfast buffet is €6 but it was actually €9. Overall a nice holiday but not as advertised."

Sevach Apartments Hotels in Galatas

Sevach Apartments

"Best service in Crete. Spacious rooms. Across the street from the MEDITERRANEAN. PRICES GOOD..EXCELLENT VALUE. Great neighborhood. Helpful staff will book excursions, find doctors for room visits and provide recommendations. Gracious hosts."

S&K Villas Hotels in Galatas

S&K Villas

"Cannot speak more highly of S&K Villas and the 5 star treatment. We were a group of 10+ friends and were welcomed by Stavros who also organised a taxi from the airport. Every detail in both villas were amazing, a welcome hamper and supplies in the fridge amongst so many other things. The spaces in the villas were amazing, we were able to cook in both villas and come together to eat. There were lots of towels to enjoy the pool and some amazing suggestions for activities and restaurants. Stavros and the villa was amazing, thank you!"

Porto Kalamaki Hotel ★★
"The best thing about this hotel is the staff who are very friendly and hard working. Nothing is too much effort for them. The owner and his wife Maria are particularly accommodating. We were delayed on the way out and arrived after midnight, yet he still greeted us and showed us to our room. We were also able to get a late night drink at the pool bar although they were on the point of closing. The room had plenty of space, a comfy bed and a fridge which was very important for keeping water cold. All of this was cleaned immaculately every day. My only complaints would be that the bathroom was tiny, especially the shower and there was an extra charge of 9 euros a day for the air-con. The outdoor facilities are very good and the breakfasts excellent, usually too much for me. The Greek night was especially enjoyable as we were able to get up and participate in the dancing. Food wise, special mention needs to be made of the fresh fruit and salad provided in abundance and also the olive oil which was delicious."

Seafalios-Beach Front Apt ★★★★
"5 times at Seafalios. Aarhus charter says it is a 3 star hotel, but we have always had a 5 star experience, 5 star view and 5 star service and cleaning. This year we again had the pleasure of being at Seafalios. If you are looking for coziness and peace and a lovely atmosphere, as well as if you want to live right next to the sea, I can warmly recommend Seafalios. Is close to Chania and Platanias, but so far from that there is peace and quiet at the hotel and you can easily take the bus to the cities. You always feel very welcome at the hotel, which is always nice and clean. We are already looking forward to coming again."

"I’m pleased with my choice of accommodation. The owner is very friendly and gave me a few suggestions about travelling around. The cleaning is every day and changing towels often. I had everything I needed in my studio. Great facilities and the location is perfect. The beach is within 5 minutes walking. We had a nice balcony where we were watching the sunrise and the sunset- amazing. 🤩"

Porto Alegre Hotel ★★★
"This hotel has potential. It offers a solid base necessities. Although the design is a bit old, it is charming in its own way. Facilities are kept in good condition. As we rented a car at the airport, it was a pleasant surprise to see they offer parking at the property. At all times there was a couple of spots available. Room was spacious enough for our group. Bus stop for Chania city buses is right by the hotel. Breakfast is abysmal. Do not spend your money on it if you can choose not to. I would much rather suggest Porto Kalamaki next door for your breakfast, or simply buy something from a store. At the poolside, there is no service. If you want to get anything, you need to go inside to reception yourself and order your drinks. Moreover, they don't have any glassware there for drinks. Our room was on the first floor which meant our "balcony" or terrace was below street level facing the parking lot. It was completely unusable and uninviting. I would have preferred an actual balcony on upper floors. Even though they have bus schedules at the reception, they don't sell advance tickets for buses which is a bummer. You need to walk all the way to a store near the next stop towards town to buy those unless you want to pay the higher price on bus."

"Very nice hotel, ideal for relax. The team is awesome! Specially Nicos that have suggested us many places to visit, and all of them were amazing. Every day the breakfast was delicious, with something different. The room was spacious and very clean! We also rent a car with them and was very well organised, the car was almost new! The hotel is more or less 500 meters from the beach, and it is very close to nice taverns with delicious local food. The pool was nice! Almost all day under the sun!"
