Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gunnison
3.7/597 Reviews
We were on a National Park tour and often there are not a lot of choices. The owners are making an effort to keep it clean and tidy but it is really an old facility. The room was really small but it was pretty cheery and clean. I would recommend this motel if there are not other good choices but be aware that it is old. The check out person didn't seem to want to hear about a couple of things that needed to be addressed.

Rodeway Inn Gunnison

Selected this hotel largely on the price and reviews on TripAdvisor. Can't beat the price - and breakfast is included. We rode up a ski lift with a couple staying in Crested Butte (the town) and they almost fell off the chair when I told them what we were paying. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is of an older style but it is clean and well maintained. The rooms are cosy, warm and clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower more than adequate. It's also nice to be able to park your vehicle directly outside the room - makes hauling ski gear into the room very easy. The breakfast is good - couple of hot dishes available, along with cereal, toast, coffee and tea. The Crested Butte ski area (and the town) is approximately a 35 minute drive away.

We were waiting on a flight back home due to the ice storm in Dallas. We were at the Hotel for 3 nights after spending a week in Crested Butte. The Hotel staff was spread pretty thin but they worked together and made our visit very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great and the hotel was very clean. Shout out to Jill and her staff for doing an amazing job.
