H24 Parkhotel Thale ★★★★
"Very nice, modern hotel. Great location! We were very satisfied. The dinner at the hotel was also superb!"
Romantik Hotel am Brühl ★★★★
"The room was clean and tidy! Rich breakfast! The market is very close to the castle"
Hotel Zur Luppbode ★★★
"Our stay at this otherwise beautiful hotel turned into a nightmare due to a faulty smoke alarm. Three times during the night, we were jolted awake by the alarm’s piercing sound. Each time, we prepared to evacuate with our children, only to find it was a false alarm. With no staff available and the reception closed, our night's rest was ruined. Desperately, we tried contacting the booking company’s 24/7 support, but even they couldn’t reach anyone at the hotel. This resulted in a sleepless night as we anxiously stayed awake, worried about the repeated alarms' cause. The next morning, we finally spoke to the owner, who attributed the false alarms to sudden changes in air pressure – an unsatisfactory excuse. Fortunately, after discussions between the booking company and the owner, we received full compensation for our stay. However, this did not make up for the sleepless night and sense of insecurity we experienced. Future guests should ensure they get an "In Case of Emergency" number from the owner before going to bed. No one should endure the terror we did, and an emergency number could be crucial for a safe night's sleep. This is a small step to ensure peace of mind during your stay. It is disappointing that a hotel with such potential in beautiful surroundings can fail so critically in terms of safety and customer service. This ordeal is something we would prefer to forget but will, unfortunately, linger in our memories."
Hotel & Spa Wasserschloss Westerburg ★★★★
"One of my clients stayed here and loved every moment. The history of the hotel is impressive, owned at one time by Napoleon, to witch trials being held on the grounds. The area is quiet and the staff is friendly and the food is delectable, this was one of the only facilities that served a Schwarzwalder Kirsch torte (this is not an American German Chocolate cake). The hotel swimming pool is approximately 4 feet deep and is not heated. It is extremely refreshing. The biggest downfall that my client stated was that one could not park ones car near the rooms but one could drive within the castle walls to drop off ones luggage. Parking is free at a lot just across the moat bridge. There is also little cafe just outside the walls. Overall this would be a location that my client would love to go back to."
Hotel Villa Viktoria Luise ★★★★
"Super location: something increased over Blankenburg, therefore quiet, yet central points such as the castle, the Baroque Gardens or the Satan's Wall in the immediate vicinity. We had the smallest room category (standard room), yet sufficient size and cozy. Fantastic breakfast: probably not a buffet but a round-round service as a corona residue (cheese-wurst plate, varied sweetness, egg food, drinks, fruit, yoghurt ... everything there and more than enough. The breakfast was possible: small, fine map (both food and drinks, e.g. wines). It was always friendly and quiet staff, even with double functions, e.g. reception and barkeeper, or morning cooking and service."
Schlosshotel Stecklenberg ★★★
Hotel Zur Krone ★★★
"It was a very nice and relaxing holiday here. Great hotel and nice restaurant. Come back please. Can't say negatives. You can walk well here or go to pullman City. Located at the country border of Thüringen and Lower Saxony."
Best Western Hotel Schlossmuehle ★★★★
"Nice place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only issue is that there wasn’t an air conditioner. But I just opened the window and it cooled off at night. Close to the heart of town, and breakfast and dinner were good."
Mythenresort Heimdall ★★★★
"Great location in the middle of Thale. Nice and clean rooms, delicious food, and they even have an escape room."

Landhaus Zu Den Rothen Forellen
"We were happy with a family celebration in the hotel. Due to the large number of guests, several changes had to be made beforehand. All changes were made and confirmed quickly and precisely. Small things such as table reservations were carried out by the staff without any special request and without complaint. The various menus in the evening gave no reason for complaint, the food was sufficient and the eye could eat along very well. At breakfast, the only complaint was the stupidity of a young waiter. The fried egg we ordered was not served after the first, second or even third request. But the error was corrected with a sufficient apology from another member of staff. The rooms were clean, adequately equipped, and special pillows were brought to the room immediately. The bar was also flawless, the drinks appealing and delicious."
Morada Hotel Alexisbad
"This was a lunch stop on our rail tour on the HSB from Quedlinburg. There are limited options for food in the area which has definitely seen better days evidenced by the derelict buildings on the stretch. The area is quiet and there is something enchanting and mysterious about the deeply forested surroundings; eerie almost, undoubtedly helped by the abandoned former Reichsbahn recreation home next to the hotel. Lunch was a Leek soup and apple pie which were good. I'm not sure I'd come here as a food destination to be honest, but it filled a hole in a convenient location 5 minutes walk from the station. We saw large coaches stopping here so it seems to be a popular tour stop."
Bernstein Schlosshotel Ballenstedt
"... that is located in the direct neighborhood of the Ballenstedt Castle. We had a beautiful and large room, with a new bathroom, which was also very large, just shower in bathroom is not very practical for older people ...The room furniture has come something into the years, but it was all clean and clean. Excellent was the big box spring bed in which we were very well sleeping. What missed was a refrigerator, but since the outside temperatures were around the freezer point, it was not a problem too...but in the summer months! ? ! The food was fantastic... Breakfast buffet did not open wishes, fresh breads, fresh sauce and cheese, daily smoking salmon and whirlpool and also vegan stuff who liked this....at dinner there was a la card twice and a buffet once... everything very good in the taste and quality. The drinks had to be ordered and paid in addition, but were fully correct at price. The SPA area was also very good and very clean. Two saunas and the pool are perfectly enough for the hotel size. The staff was friendly and premature. It is a quiet hotel, there is not much to experience in the place itself, as you have to drive a bit with the car or the public, but as a starting point for activities in the harz the hotel is recommended. We'll certainly book again!!!"
Hotel Villa Heine Wellness & Spa
"The hotel itself is actually quite nice. The room was clean and had a lovely view of the garden. The spa area was cozy, and both the restaurant and breakfast room were pleasant – but that’s where the positives end. The internet was unusable (perhaps irrelevant if you’re not working, but the hotel really shouldn’t advertise free Wi-Fi when the entire place shares a 10 Mbps connection). The food in the restaurant was downright inedible – or at best, completely tasteless. On the first day, we were served an inedible tomato soup as a starter, and on the third day, we were served raw chicken. The breakfast buffet was unbelievably boring – it seemed like all the hot dishes were prepared at 7 AM and never replaced afterward. The hotel is located in a bleak town, surrounded by a mix of rundown buildings and industrial areas. There are no attractions nearby (though beautiful towns like Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, and Goslar are within driving distance). As for the so-called fitness room, it consisted of a 15–20 m² space with a trampoline, an exercise bike, and a hula hoop. We booked our stay through Risskov Bilferie, which turned out to be almost 1,000 DKK more expensive for three nights compared to, for example, *********** – a disappointing discovery in hindsight."
A-Rosa Gothisches Haus Wernigerode
"Good location"
Regiohotel am Brocken Schierke
"Affordable price included breakfast with nice window view to the countryside. However a bit difficult to check in, there is no staff at counter, it’s self check in. I was having difficulty to scan collect room card, luckily there was other guests willing to help call and speak German to staff via phone. Wish to come here again to see countryside Mountain View with fresh air."

Parkhotel Unter den Linden
Regiohotel Bunte Stadt
"This hotel has the best mattresses I've ever slept on 🥰 a truly delightful experience! The cleanliness (as far as our room was concerned) was very good. Regarding the breakfast buffet, there's room for improvement. (That's just my personal opinion, though.) All in all, it's a very good hotel for its price range! I can wholeheartedly recommend it."
Kloster Hedersleben
"Lived in the newly renovated part. Wonderfully and very tastefully furnished. No monster flat screen disturbs. Simply beautiful, selected furniture. In addition, the hotel has a new, very clear reception. The price was more than reasonable."
Regiohotel Schanzenhaus Wernigerode
"Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. The rooms are lovingly designed, the bathrooms are modern and easily accessible. The balconies are well maintained and have a perfect view of the castle. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and very tasty. However, I recommend arriving by car as the bus connection is very poor."
