I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and world-class hospitality. Truly a 10/10 experience. "We spent a wonderful few days in Sri Lanka in a magnificent villa with superb views over Koggala Lake just outside Galle owned by a delightful English couple from whom you can easily rent. Cooled with gentle breezes coming up from the lake, a 15 metre infinity pool, a quiet ambalama, and fuelled with the cook’s excellent curries and western dishes, we have fortified ourselves to tackle our next experience - walking in the tea country just north of here. The villa has four bedrooms and bathrooms and excellent staff."

Mr Muvendra(housekeeping executive), Mr.Ishara (from IT) & their staff also helped us organise a special evening party & dinner at their property. Top notch arrangement were made by them & it was beyond your expectations. It is a family/ friends friendly resort which provides touristy vibes. Must stay if visiting srilanka."

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome. The food was tasty with a good variety of options, and the pool area was clean and relaxing. While some parts of the hotel could benefit from modernization and room upgrades, the comfort, hospitality, and location made up for it. The hotel is a calm and quiet place, perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful stay away from the busy city atmosphere. One of the highlights was the room's beachfront view—waking up to the sight and sound of the ocean was truly amazing. The sea and beach views from the room were simply breathtaking. A great place for a relaxing getaway by the sea, especially for those who enjoy nature, tranquility, and beautiful beach scenery. Looking forward to visiting again."

"Beautiful location and rooms were very comfortable, spacious and modern. Food had enough variety and was very good . The pool was amazing and the beach was also nice and we were able to see eels, fish and turtles as there was a natural reef. Gym was well equipped and the Spa treatments were also great. Staff were amazing from the pool attendants to restaurant staff to members at the reception and housekeeping were very helpful. Gothami and her reception team were fantastic informing us of an item we’ve left behind and was kind enough to courier it to Colombo. Overall we had a great time at The Fortress, Galle."

"seen better days sadly choose elsewhere. we felt like our group had entered a faulty towers episode. tvs that would not turn on others could not be turned off. leaking water from base of toilet. no abilty to hold door back but using furniture. not much available at bar. could buy a glass of wine only a bottle. no dinner option had to walk to next door resort for an overpriced average buffet. such a shame as the bones of an awesome resort are here, if i could have moved I would. wifi not very stable. on a positive note we were lucky our aircon worked so we slept well. staff as everywhere are lovely, but the list of things that need to be improved is very long and i can not fathom the price i saw on *********** of $148 i would move if i had paid that much to me it is a $60 room tops. i really hope management sees this and the invest in the place."
