The hotel is about 1.5 km from Kyoto Station, a 10-minute bus ride away. It's a Japanese-style hotel with a limited number of rooms. Although it's a bit older, it's very well-maintained and clean. The breakfast is a traditional Japanese one and quite substantial.

Excellent traditional Japanese hotel, and onsen in the hotel, definitely the best treatment after a long day of city walk.

My stay at the ryokan in Kyoto was an authentic and memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with great hospitality and kindness. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with a traditional Japanese style that offered a deep cultural immersion. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, featuring tatami mats, a futon, and minimalist decor that conveyed peace and simplicity. Everything was clean and well-organized, and the attention to detail really enhanced the guest experience. I also had the chance to use the ofuro, the traditional Japanese bath, which was incredibly relaxing. The staff was always polite and helpful, ready to assist with information and directions, making everything smoother and more enjoyable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to enjoy Japanese tradition with comfort and tranquility.

This lovely Ryokan was a perfect example of Japanese hospitality at its finest. The rooms feature classic tatami mats, bedding, a welcoming sweet treat and tea service, modern bathrooms and rice paper screens. The on-site onsen was the perfect cure for exhausted muscles. The staff were very helpful, and the sumptuous breakfast set they served was delicious, visually stunning and fueled us through our busy day of touring. I highly recommend it. Five stars!!!

Good value budget accommodation in Kyoto, located close to Kyoto station. You can walk between thev station andvthe Ryokan by foot easily (if your luggage have wheels). Service is very polite.

Excellent Ryokan with private inhouse On-sen. Clean and tidy, very quiet. Convenient location. Highly recommend for Kyoto.

The room was clean and tidy, the tatami had a faint fragrance, and it was very quiet, so I could rest well. It was a great experience.

Very clean and beautiful! It's a traditional Japanese tatami room, and the room is very spacious! The inn is clearly quite old, but it's very well maintained. I was surprised to find a small bathtub in the room (it was spotlessly clean). After a day of exploring Kyoto, taking a bath in the room at night was incredibly relaxing! The inn staff were also very welcoming ❤️

This is a very Japanese-style inn. If you're looking for a bit of a Japanese experience, this one is a good choice! It seems to have been built in 1996, so the facilities aren't new, but they're clean and tidy, and the inn feels like it has its own unique cultural heritage: the staff are polite yet distant; they only accept cash; they use keys to open the door, and you can't take your keys out of the hotel. There's a welcome sign in the lobby, but it seems only for Japanese guests. However, there are welcome signs with names on the room doors. The hot springs are also great, and there's a washer and dryer in the lounge. Across from the inn is Nishi Honganji Temple, which is large and impressive, and free to visit. It's quite nice. I also booked breakfast this time, just to experience it. The service was excellent, with a wide selection of dishes, and the soups are heated up before the guests even start eating. My favorite was the clear vegetable and tofu soup, and my daughter had the packaged seaweed soup.

It was my first time visiting Japan with my kids, and I wanted to experience authentic tatami, hot springs, and a Japanese breakfast. This place had it all. It's right next to Nishi-Honji Temple and right next to Higashi-Honji Temple. We even had a relaxing evening wearing kimonos and eating yakiniku.
