"The honeymoon suite had an awesome rooftop terrace and a jacuzzi in the middle of the livingroom. Pool was unfortunately closed during the day for siesta. Bed was good. We didn’t try the breakfast. All in all a good hotel with fantastic pool. Town is a bit too crowded for our liking but was nice to walk about during siesta time cause there was absolutely nobody else out and about at that time."

Oscar Hotel Lefkada

"A warm friendly welcome from check in to unfortunately having to go home. Beautiful location overlooking the marina and a short walk to the center of Nidri. Room was very spacious and well maintained the aircon being a bonus as it was baking hot during our stay. We stayed in a room for 4 people with our balcony overlooking the pool, bar and beautiful views over the marina. The hotel has a lovely pool area and a very well stocked pool bar. You can also enjoy your drinks on the beach across the road which was lovely in the evening watching the moon rise over the bay. A fantastic 2 weeks spent in a great super value for money hotel with a lovely friendly Greek family as your hosts. Would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Oscar"

Lefkadio Suites

"This was probably the worst experience we have ever enountered. The accommodation is dated and neglected and the bathroom was not usable. Dirty and rusty sharp objects inside the shower screen. The bedding provided was absolutely inadequate. I could write an essay on this but we are just over it. We have left after 1 day even though we paid for 5. Both us and the travel agents made contact with accommodation to get at least partial refund and Lefkadio Suites did not even respond after 3 follow ups. Please do not stay here. Plenty of better and cheaper options in Lefkada. We have lost almost 1000 euros with this experience and feel absolutely disappointed. You have been warned"

Loads of restaurants outside making it a great venue for foodies. The bus stops just by the hotel so you can explore the main towns with ease."

"Fantastic seafront location, splendid views from the "sea view" rooms, free beach access, a family-friendly and peaceful atmosphere, and the owners are undoubtedly nice people. For this reason, I'm sorry to have to leave a negative review for this hotel, but individual experiences matter and can help others choose accommodations and even help the hotel itself improve. The room did not match the photo on the website, which was the basis of our booking. The bathroom did not have a shower stall, only a curtain, so the shower water ran directly onto the floor and toilet, flooding the bathroom. If we had seen this in the photos, we would never have booked a room like this in a 4-star hotel. The tourist tax, indicated by the hotel in the booking confirmation email, was 1.50 euros per day, but upon arrival it increased to 7 euros, with the excuse that we had mistyped the correct amount in their email. The room often had a nasty sewer smell. The safe didn't work and the owners said it couldn't be repaired because it was "too old," but it's listed on the website as one of the guaranteed room amenities. The kettle provided upon our arrival was dirty and had a completely calcified bottom, but was fortunately replaced. The air conditioning would shut off every 15 minutes due to a tripped electrical panel, and we had to turn it back on every time, even at night. Sometimes they forgot to provide a shower mat and towels, which by even lower hotel standards should include a large one for the shower and at least one small one, but here they only provided the two large ones, and sometimes they forgot to bring those too; we had to go and ask for them. Water pressure was often lacking, and during showers, the hot water would disappear completely. Downstairs, there was often noise until late at night, with commotion coming from the beach or the bar next door. Closing the windows might have helped, but that would have resulted in the air conditioning going off every 15 minutes. This isn't a 4-star hotel."

"We enjoyed an excellent holiday at the Katouna suites. The hotel has spectacular views, a lovely pool and well maintained gardens. Our room was very clean and well furnished with great views. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The food was of a consistently high standard both at breakfast and on the occasions we ate at the hotel in the evenings or at lunchtime. We would certainly visit again."

"What a great hotel to stay staff friendly rooms clean balcony always cleaned as we had swollows nesting above in our balcony we had air conditioning in our room food choices good met the chef who was a very pleasant man and always had time to interact with other holiday families manager always visible checking and asking if all was OK with your stay restaurant staff excellent nothing to much trouble yes would definitely go and stay there again always cleaning the pools areas and the cleaning staff always appears happy in their work receptionist would call a taxi if needed what a great hotel"

"We had a lovely stay in the surf hotel, Vasiliki was stunningly beautiful, unfortunately the hotel room we were allocated was tired, shabby and very dirty, it’s a real shame the bed was so hard it was difficult to sleep on and the bathroom was really bad, it had a rotted bottom of the door that had been covered up by a white label!!! The staff were very nice so we didn’t mention it"
