Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Ping'An Zhuang Village, Longsheng

By far one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had, not only because the installations are fantastic but also because of the friendliness of every staff member, the attention to detail and the hospitality. We arrived at 11 pm and the owner understood we were hungry and cooked us dinner despite the lateness (she even fetched vegetables from the garden behind the hotel), definitely our best stay in china and we’ve been traveling for 4 months.

The room was very clean, and I especially loved the small balcony – the evening breeze was so pleasant. It was also very close to the viewing platform, so you could enjoy the night view. The owner's cooking was delicious [and I highly recommend their glutinous rice wine], thumbs up! I'll definitely come back.

It was raining just two days ago, so I was pleasantly surprised by the clear weather when I arrived – choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision! The view is incredible, with the rice terraces stretching out endlessly and the distant mountains shrouded in mist, creating a truly serene atmosphere. The hotel service was very attentive; they picked me up from the parking lot, and the staff were welcoming and helpful, answering all my questions. The food at the hotel was delicious too. I hope to have another chance to come back for a vacation when the rice is being harvested.

Vegetarian food! The best I have had in China so far cooked by the wonderful lady at this hotel. The hotel is also perfect. The room was very big with a huge very comfortable bed and the bright green of the terraces through the big picture window and from the balcony, we're just extraordinary; a tonic for the soul. Breakfast was perfect. The couple who run the hotel were extremely kind and friendly and their daughter extremely helpful over Wechat. The first view point of the terraces overlooks the hotel and the hike around the terraces just great. I recommend this hotel 100%.

This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews. I've even specially included a photo with the host family, hoping everyone will support their business. There haven't been many tourists lately, but my experience was absolutely phenomenal.

We loved our stay here. Extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming host. Helped us organise shared transport to the hotel from Guilin West Railway Station for 80 yuan each. We hiked from Ping’an to Dazhai and she organised our collection in Dazhai and subsequent transport to Guilin, including luggage transfer. This also cost 80 yuan each but the price depends on the season. Clean, spacious rooms and the free fresh fruit was a nice touch. The host is also a great chef and made us both dinner and breakfast, the latter costing 18 yuan for two. Great location within Ping’an, halfway between the two famous Ping’an viewpoints - you can walk to one (about 20 minutes) then follow a mountain trail to the other (40 minutes between the two). Based on our hike to Dazhai, staying in Ping’an felt like the right decision as it seemed a little quieter and more authentic to us.

The location is great, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Ping'anzhai observation deck. The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains. Opening the balcony door from your room feels like you're living in the clouds. We went during the off-season, so there weren't many people. The guesthouse has a traditional Chinese architectural style, all solid wood, and the materials used are very substantial. The only downside is that you have to park in a designated parking lot quite far from the hotel, pay a high parking fee, and then buy an electric cart ticket to get up there. You can clearly drive up yourself, which I found very confusing and inconvenient.

I took advantage of the last days of summer vacation for a summer getaway, choosing the Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Picking Rice. I searched for a hotel for a long time before booking Yixi in advance, and it was definitely the right choice. I was initially worried about parking in the mountains and the cleanliness of the hotel facilities, but I was wrong. It was very convenient; the owner sent a car to pick me up from the parking lot, and we didn't have to walk far. The hotel was designed by the owner himself, and it's absolutely perfect. Every snapshot is beautiful. I could sit by the window all day, enjoying a cappuccino – I loved it! This time I came alone, but I'll bring my family to stay longer when the rice paddies turn golden, and we'll definitely choose Yixi again…

It's a bit far from the foot of the mountain, but the owner's family helped carry my luggage, which was a lifesaver because I definitely couldn't have managed it alone. The room was super spacious and incredibly comfortable; I had a fantastic one-night stay! The whole family was wonderful. When I ordered food, the grandma even poured me a cup of her homemade rice wine, which was delicious! The next day, the owner also helped arrange a shared ride for me. The only thing to be aware of is that there are a lot of bugs in the mountains! They'll fly in if you leave the balcony light on, so don't open the balcony door casually at night~

I can’t praise this hotel enough. The views from the room and dining area were undoubtedly the best in Ping’an. In fact they are so good, we noticed on our way home that we had the exact same view as the picture on the Scenic Area entry ticket. Stunning. The room was clean and a good size with everything provided for. The owners offered the most fantastic hospitality. They ensured everything was perfect for us. We had our luggage sent to the hotel ahead of us as we were hiking to get there, and they kept us informed every step of the way. Even sending us a reassuring photo of our luggage to confirm it had arrived. They organised a taxi for our departure, and even though it was early hours of the morning, they were there ready to introduce us to our driver. They made us feel so very welcome, like we were a part of their family.
