J&R Residence ★★★

📍 Brgy. Bacong, Sitio Dagohoy, Anda

"My stay at J&R was wonderful. J&R is a small family run resort. The facility is very clean, and the staff was very attentive to my needs. The town of Anda is only a few minutes away. The resort is just far enough from town to feel remote and relaxing, but the town is only a short tricycle ride away. I was happy with the tours I purchased from them. In particular I enjoyed snorkeling off of the trident boat they use for snorkeling tours. The restaurant is very good, and they have a large menu to pick from. Anda is a very relaxing place to visit. This small town has a very laid-back friendly vibe and is a great way experience the Philippines. I spent many hours walking the beach, every morning I saw something new and amazing. I have travel plans for Feb. 2025 and visiting J&R Resort and Anda is on my list! I will return!"

Anda Pearl Premier Resort

Anda Pearl Premier Resort ★★★

📍 Zone 5, Anda

"A small hotel with a narrow strip of beach. Locals flock to the area on weekends. The pool area is busy, making it noisy and bustling. The rooms smell of sewage. After the rain, the balcony was dirty. We asked to clean it, but they ignored us; we asked for a change of towels, but they forgot. Breakfast is a mini-buffet with a minimal selection. Neither the hotel nor its location left a positive impression."

"Amazing view, great beach, interesting cave experience, and very relaxing experience. Food could be better, but mango shake was fire. Drive from airport is quite long, so hopefully a new nearby airport would open soon!"

Amun Ini Beach Resort & Spa

Amun Ini Beach Resort & Spa ★★★★★

📍 Bas Daku, Candabong, Anda

"I seldom leave reviews but I’ve been telling everyone about Amun Ini since our stay. From the moment we arrived until we sadly departed everyone made my family feel welcome and went out of their way to make our time as enjoyable as possible. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious! I could go on and on, but I feel it is needless to say that I will make a point of returning to Amun Ini the next time I vacation in Bohol (which can’t come soon enough)!!"

📍 PGF8+CR2 Ipo, Candabong, Anda

"Lovely resort with very helpful and friendly staff. The food was excellent with plenty of gluten free options available on request and the snorkelling was amazing. Only thing was the shower head in room 4 was quite bad. Overall we had a nice time."

Bugnaw Si-E Beach Resort

Bugnaw Si-E Beach Resort ★★★

📍 Purok 2, Anda, Guindulman

"This resort is an example of a location that could be great with some serious changes to their rules and restaurant. The location is beautiful. The view is amazing. The pool and beach are very nice. The rooms are 2-3 star. Clean. Western shower. No hand towels. Faucet water shot everywhere. Hard bed. I was very excited about the breakfast buffet, what a let down. The fresh juice was powdered tang. Coffee was instant. Eggs done one way, cold, fried, and cooked all the way through. One choice of fruit. Cold tapa or linguisa. Rice. That’s not a buffet, that’s a cheap way to save money on included breakfast. Normal breakfast. Poor options. I got tapa. It was cold out of the refrigerator with no sauce and dry. Sunny side eggs cooked through. Friend had an omelette, it was egg, onion, and tomato… no cheese, that’s not an omelette. They need to teach their cooks how to make simple eggs. I skipped breakfast my third morning even though it was free. If you want an amazing included breakfast stay somewhere else. The restaurant was hit and miss. The buttered chicken and sisig were good. The siomai was bad. The squid dishes were oversized squid and hard to even chew. The fried rice was mediocre garlic rice, which is not fried rice at all. Most items were out of stock… no shrimp tempura, no pizza, no hamburger, among other things. The cocktail menu was good, but out of 12-15 cocktails only 3 available. A resort needs a good bar and restaurant, otherwise it’s not a true resort. The waiters do not know the menu. They have to ask the kitchen every time I ask. They also have poor English. Saturday night dinner. They had live music which was extremely loud. We planned on spending on the big platter and multiple cocktails. The loud music was deafening in the restaurant. I could not hear my father or the staff. I requested the music turned down three times. I could see the sound system guy arguing with staff and never turned down. We took our money and spent it in town at a nice restaurant that shows respect to guests. The bar is part of the restaurant it closes at 9pm, so forget a long night. We were playing cards next to the pool being respectful. The guards shut us down at 10:15pm and sent us to our rooms. What the actual hell. Absolutely stunning. Unfortunately this resort could be so much better. Maybe they are not trying to attract foreign tourist dollars. Overhaul your draconian rules, stock your restaurant, and hire a chef."

Caimito Beach Hotel ★★★
"Absolutely! "Staying at this beach hotel in Southern Leyte was an absolute dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The location is simply breathtaking, with pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters right at our doorstep. The rooms were luxurious and impeccably clean, offering stunning views of the ocean. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, catering to our every need with enthusiasm and professionalism. The food at the hotel's restaurant was divine, with a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from, including fresh seafood caught right from the local waters. Whether lounging by the infinity pool or exploring the nearby attractions, every moment spent at this beach hotel was truly unforgettable. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking a paradise getaway in the Philippines!""

"Beautiful resort with nice rooms, great view and tasty food only downside is beach is not that great considering it is Anda. Much better to go to a public beach than swim here. Also it takes 4 flights of stairs from the lobby/restaurant to the beach. Other than that, it was a good stay."

J&R Residence ★★★
"So let me start by saying that there was a mix up in the reservations and we were only able to stay at J&R for 2 of the 5 nights we had reserved. Jilo & Ralf went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, even when we moved to another location. They continued to pick us up to go diving every day. They even washed my laundry for me! These two people are absolute gems! They took a bad situation and made it the best it could be. And the resort is a piece of paradise. So beautiful, quiet and serene. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make our short stay wonderful. Obviously a reflection of the owners. I would not hesitate to go back to J&R Residences. If you’re going to Anda, this is where you want to be!"

"The service is excellent, food is fabulous. Room is comfortable, and clean. The dive is great. The owners are hands on. Special shout out to Jeff and Melrose, who were exceptional. Ideal for people who prefer a cozy intimate quiet relaxing time out from the daily grind. Bohol has a lot to offer, from the Chocolate Hills, to the Loboc river cruise, dolphin watching in their natural habitat, historical churches and of course the Tarzier."

"Very nice and comfy hotel with a great private beach and a large pool. Service is excellent and the restaurant’s great. Be aware that many day users show up every day and fill the place (pool and beach), but once everyone leaves in late afternoon, this is heaven"
